About: Big Star Pet Care was started in memorial of our best friend of nearly 10 years, a rescue pitbull who was our Biggest Star. That’s why we give everyone our Big Star Promise— to treat your animals like they are their own Big Star. I've taken care of many animals, from cats & dogs, to rodents, reptiles, birds and more. This makes my experience in animal care varied and diverse. I am comfortable with all sizes of pet and breed, as well as many different temperaments. We are privately insured with pet care professional insurance (including vet coverage)— for the utmost safety of your loved ones, so that you can rest at ease while away. We are always learning new ways to expand what we can offer to our clients. We strive to follow instructions left by the pet owner and always send plenty of photos and updates. As a wife and wife team, your care will be carried out by either of us or both of us— but you can ensure top quality care regardless of who is providing it. Walks and drop ins before 8am and after 5pm are often attended by Gabrielle, while housesits are generally carried out by Mary due to Gabrielle’s full time position. Boarding care is handled by both parties. Most messages are responded to by Mary. Mary does have a standing M-F 3 hour babysitting gig from 1-4, though it often ends early. We try to be flexible and accept most bookings, including emergency last minute bookings. We offer a number of services; however, we do not accepts pets from more than one family at a time during boardings so that we can ensure the utmost attention, care and safety of your furry friends. We live in a large townhouse with a fully fenced backyard, 3 cats who keep mostly to themselves but may befriend gentler dogs and a 6 month old puppy who is generally well behaved and in training. We have no children or other people living in the home. We can create separated spaces if necessary, while still ensuring your furry friend gets the care and attention they deserve, while in a comfortable space for them. Mary is dog and cat CPR/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. We have experience with animals who have special dietary, medication and medical related needs.

About: I grew up on a farm, so I have spent most of my life caring for pets. I currently own one dog named Mackey. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and give them the attention they need. Please Note: I do not accept pets that are not crate trained and potty trained. I work from home so my schedule is flexible and I can use that opportunity to provide plenty of walks and breaks as needed for your pet. Our normal walks occur twice a day in the morning and in the evening with intermittent outside breaks throughout the day. My current dog is indoors. All pets staying at my home will be indoors with A/C and access to plenty of water, food and toys.

About: I’ve had pets all of my life. I grew up with large dogs and currently have 2 small breed dogs. I have had older pets and puppies too. I take amazing care of my pets, and will for yours. My husband and I own a house with a backyard and lots of space to walk dogs around the neighborhood. I am a stay at home mom and am available to watch your dogs all day and provide the best care for them. I’m always here. I have a gated backyard with 2 small breed dogs. They are allowed inside and can go outside anytime to potty. If needed, I can crate your dog and we have a puppy room inside the house where they can sleep.

About: What sets me apart from many sitters is my lifelong experience with animals and my ability to genuinely connect with them quickly — especially pets who may be anxious, shy, older, highly attached to their owners, or simply used to lots of companionship and attention. Over the years, I’ve helped care for foster litters of puppies and kittens requiring around-the-clock feeding, monitoring, and weight tracking alongside my best friend, who is a veterinarian. I also have veterinary technician and shelter experience, along with hands-on experience caring for senior pets, administering medications, reinforcing basic puppy training, and supporting animals with special routines, anxieties, or medical needs. I’m currently working with one of my own dogs in service dog training, and I’m also a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who previously worked with pre-K children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. For more active dogs, I genuinely enjoy playtime, walks, fetch, and engagement throughout the day, while calmer pets usually find me just as happy to provide cuddles, companionship, and a peaceful environment. Because I operate my design company remotely and on my own schedule, I’m often able to spend extended time in the home providing companionship, supervision, structure, affection, and a calming presence throughout the day and overnight — not just quick drop-ins. I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and creating an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and relaxed while their owners are away. Because I own and operate my own boutique design firm, my schedule is highly flexible and allows me to work remotely from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. I’m also involved in tween mentorship and creative consulting, both of which I manage on my own schedule, making it easy for me to prioritize the needs and routines of the pets in my care. I’m naturally both an early riser and a night owl, so I’m available for early morning feedings and walks, late-night potty breaks, overnight companionship, medication schedules, and pets who simply feel more secure having someone nearby throughout the day and evening. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy the companionship, structure, and calm presence animals bring. Whether I’m working quietly from my laptop while keeping your pet company, taking breaks for walks and playtime, or providing attentive overnight care, I’m able to give pets far more presence and consistency than many traditional sitters with rigid work schedules. Safety, trust, and creating a calm environment are extremely important to me, whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. I work from home in a professional job, so I have plenty of time to take care of animals during the day and I take my dog out on four walks a day. I also have a good sized, enclosed yard. I am extremely hyper vigilant, so your pet will always be taken care of with me. I treat dogs like children and My Mika is extremely spoiled. She gets along with all other dogs and cats. I currently work from home full-time, so I have plenty of time to care for animals in my home. I take my dog out on four walks a day and I have a good size enclosed yard. I have a fenced yard with sod. I don’t leave my dog out there for long - only to go to the bathroom because she prefers to be inside with me and right now it's too hot. I will accommodate whatever needs your dog has. I have a fenced front yard as well and my dog likes to be on the porch people/dog watching.

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and taken care of them in full for my family, friends and neighbors. I love four legged furry friends; giving them walks, playing with them and making them feel comfortable. I have always adopted rescue dogs so have a good sense of how to take care of apprehensive dogs, as well as hyperactive or dogs that need more attention and a patient trainer. I have amateur experience training dogs and have learned tips from my sister who is an experienced dog trainer and dog walker. I have chickens at home and have cared for furry, scaled and feathered friends in the past, I love them all. My partner and I have recently lost our best furry friend and I would love a reason to get outside more often with my favorite animal (dogs!) or any animal at all.
