About: Big Star Pet Care was started in memorial of our best friend of nearly 10 years, a rescue pitbull who was our Biggest Star. That’s why we give everyone our Big Star Promise— to treat your animals like they are their own Big Star. I've taken care of many animals, from cats & dogs, to rodents, reptiles, birds and more. This makes my experience in animal care varied and diverse. I am comfortable with all sizes of pet and breed, as well as many different temperaments. We are privately insured with pet care professional insurance (including vet coverage)— for the utmost safety of your loved ones, so that you can rest at ease while away. We are always learning new ways to expand what we can offer to our clients. We strive to follow instructions left by the pet owner and always send plenty of photos and updates. As a wife and wife team, your care will be carried out by either of us or both of us— but you can ensure top quality care regardless of who is providing it. Walks and drop ins before 8am and after 5pm are often attended by Gabrielle, while housesits are generally carried out by Mary due to Gabrielle’s full time position. Boarding care is handled by both parties. Most messages are responded to by Mary. Mary does have a standing M-F 3 hour babysitting gig from 1-4, though it often ends early. We try to be flexible and accept most bookings, including emergency last minute bookings. We offer a number of services; however, we do not accepts pets from more than one family at a time during boardings so that we can ensure the utmost attention, care and safety of your furry friends. We live in a large townhouse with a fully fenced backyard, 3 cats who keep mostly to themselves but may befriend gentler dogs and a 6 month old puppy who is generally well behaved and in training. We have no children or other people living in the home. We can create separated spaces if necessary, while still ensuring your furry friend gets the care and attention they deserve, while in a comfortable space for them. Mary is dog and cat CPR/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. We have experience with animals who have special dietary, medication and medical related needs.

About: I grew up on a farm, so I have spent most of my life caring for pets. I currently own one dog named Mackey. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and give them the attention they need. Please Note: I do not accept pets that are not crate trained and potty trained. I work from home so my schedule is flexible and I can use that opportunity to provide plenty of walks and breaks as needed for your pet. Our normal walks occur twice a day in the morning and in the evening with intermittent outside breaks throughout the day. My current dog is indoors. All pets staying at my home will be indoors with A/C and access to plenty of water, food and toys.

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and taken care of them in full for my family, friends and neighbors. I love four legged furry friends; giving them walks, playing with them and making them feel comfortable. I have always adopted rescue dogs so have a good sense of how to take care of apprehensive dogs, as well as hyperactive or dogs that need more attention and a patient trainer. I have amateur experience training dogs and have learned tips from my sister who is an experienced dog trainer and dog walker. I have chickens at home and have cared for furry, scaled and feathered friends in the past, I love them all. I am patient and loving when it comes to taking care of animals and hope you will consider me to take care of your best friend(s)! My partner and I have recently lost our best furry friend and I would love a reason to get outside more often with my favorite animal (dogs!) or any animal at all. I currently work full time but am off on Sundays/Mondays as well as evenings. My job allows me to leave midday as needed. If I can plan ahead with a care schedule, I have no issue fitting walks/care as needed. I personally have always had free range dogs, but have experience with free ranging as well as crated dogs. I am comfortable working with contained pets as well; chickens, other birds, snakes, tarantulas etc.

About: I've had dogs in my home as long as I can remember. My dogs are my best friends. I can accommodate more than 1 dog if needed. 3 dogs from the same owner. I work a full-time job. I can board dogs from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. I have dogs of my own. They have their own room. Feed them on a schedule and let them play in the backyard on nice days. I have a fenced in back yard. I have dogs. I can separate them from other dogs if needed. Just let me know of any special instructions that I may need to accommodate.

“Excellent!!! Fozzie's behavior when I picked him up spoke for the great time he had. Fozzie said hi to me in usual happy fashion, yet did not want to leave. Normally, Fozzie is ready to leave wherever he is and doesn't speak to me. He actually ignores me until we get into the car. Her big brown lab was a sweet heart and her cats let Fozzie sniff them, too. Adriana, welcomed me all the way inside her home. The living room was set up for a place for pets to lay & relax; there were multiple cushions on the floor. Her back yard is fenced with ample room for running & playing, with a good size pool for pup swimming. When I came in to pick him up, she didn't rush me out. I bonded with the big guy with lots of rubbing & scratching; Fozzie wasn't his usual jealous self, getting between me and the pet I was petting. This was a very unique experience; it was great. Anytime we are in Jacksonville, FL, I know where Fozzie is going.”

About: I have taken care of dogs all of my life & LOVE them. I work from home in a professional job, so I have plenty of time to take care of animals during the day and I take my dog out on four walks a day. I also have a good sized, enclosed yard. I am extremely hyper vigilant, so your pet will always be taken care of with me. I treat dogs like children and My Mika is extremely spoiled. She gets along with all other dogs and cats. I currently work from home full-time, so I have plenty of time to care for animals in my home. I take my dog out on four walks a day and I have a good size enclosed yard. I have a fenced yard with sod. I don’t leave my dog out there for long - only to go to the bathroom because she prefers to be inside with me and right now it's too hot. I will accommodate whatever needs your dog has. I have a fenced front yard as well and my dog likes to be on the porch people/dog watching.
