About: I make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for, just like they would with you. I’m reliable, responsible, and love sending picture updates so you can relax knowing your pup is happy. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I already set aside time each day for walks, play, and feeding, and I enjoy being outdoors and active. I make sure to plan my schedule so pets receive consistent attention, exercise, and companionship. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, so it blends seamlessly into both my daily and weekly routines. In a client’s home, I respect their space and care for pets just as they would, keeping to established schedules, maintaining a familiar environment, and giving them lots of attention and reassurance. My goal is always to make pets feel happy, secure, and loved while their owners are away
“Absolutely love Melissa and Ryan! They really came through for me on a short notice and even helped me with undoing a hitch on my car. They say you find good people everywhere you go, and I definitely found some great ones. My pups loved them and I felt totally safe and trusted them to take care of my girls. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up working on a farm! Not only am I familiar with training puppies and caring for cats, I also know my way around a barn. I have time in the early mornings and evenings to visit your pets! I am also able to house sit and provide daily exercise to any extent you need! I love to go on walks and adventuring in parks. But I also love just sitting on the couch with a dog or cat :) I am flexible and ready to meet whatever your pet needs!

“Kami dropped by to walk our pups while we were away for the day, and they loved their time with her! She sent updates and photos, and the dogs were very well taken care of. Thank you, Kami!”

“Mindi was great with my cats! She was very responsive and a good communicator and I felt very comfortable leaving my pets in her excellent care, even my special needs kitty. I would absolutely use her services again.”

“Sophia was very attentive to the needs of my anxious and senior pups. She is great with communication, in time visits and sharing updates with photos. I highly recommend Sophia. Your pets will be in great hands!”

About: I'm in college, studying to be a Veterinary Technician. I've had many types of animals and I've been caring for animals as a way to make money for several years- predominantly dogs. I am free on weekends. I'm usually free on Wednesday and Monday. I'm available at 1pm on Tuesdays, and I'm available on Fridays and Thursdays after 4pm. My cat is indoors, and I make a great deal of effort to keep her that way (she tries to escape a lot). I make sure to keep her happy and entertained, just as I do with my client's pets. When I am in a client's home I ensure adequate care and their animal's safety.
About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life (I currently have two dogs and four cats) and consider them part of my family. In addition to caring for my own pets, I've often provided care for the pets of my friends and coworkers. I retired a few years ago and now only seek jobs involving animals. For two years, I worked for a Cane Corso breeder caring for his dogs and their puppies - a wonderful job for me. Currently, I work part-time at a small horse ranch where I care for and love two horses and one pony - another wonderful job. If you're looking for someone to take care of your pets (dogs, cats, horses, ponies or really just about anything - haha), just let me know. I have a deep love for all animals and nature and am very reliable. I'll take good care of them while you're away. I retired a few years ago and currently have a small part-time job at a local horse farm doing morning chores and feeding lunch four days a week. I'm pretty flexible with my schedule. I have a deep love for all animals and treat them with kindness and respect. I enjoy walking and playing with them. I'm very reliable and will do everything I can to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

About: I have owned and taken care of pets since I was a little kid, ranging from mini Australian shepherds to retrievers, labs and German shepherds. This means I have experience training young puppies and taking care of senior dogs. I also have experience with taking dogs on runs (since I love to run), which helps with high-energy dogs. I love dogs and am more than happy to help other people with pet care since I know finding the right person for the job can be difficult. :) I’m a teacher so this summer I’m earning some extra cash by nannying and dogsitting. I’m available 4-5 days a week including the weekends (and have no problem helping in the early mornings and late nights), so my schedule is pretty flexible and I’m very willing to fit multiple in-house visits and dog walking/running into my routine. I care for pets in my clients’ homes so I am skilled in giving all pets the attention they need both inside and outside the home, including playing with them, taking them on walks and runs, or just sitting down and keeping them company depending on the age and needs they require. I take pride in fulfilling all pets’ routines and owners’ expectations.
“Yvonne relays such friendly and enjoyable commentary and pictures to each walk. All while taking care of business for a great walk, potty times and feeding. She does a great job!”

About: If you’re looking for a sitter who is genuinely comfortable with all animals, look no more! My name is Tabitha, and my background covers everything from raising children, ferrets, and dogs to volunteering with miniature horses and a variety of other animals. I’ve handled everything from high-energy to gentle giants, puppies, guinea pigs, reptiles, fish, and exotics. I love meeting new animals and I treat every furry visitor as if they were a part of our family. Your pup will receive plenty of love and attention, playtime, and structured care tailored to their specific routine! Why choose me? Diverse Experience: From puppies and senior dogs to unique farm and exotic animals, I’ve seen and loved them all. A Clean, Safe Environment: I am a meticulously neat person by nature, so our home is always kept clean, tidy, and safe for guest pets. Reliable Communication: You’ll get plenty of updates and photos so you know exactly how much fun your pup is having while you're away. I'm currently a stay at home parent who has fairly open availability for your pet needs! I'm sure we can work out a schedule that works for everyone. I own a fully fenced in yard with plenty of room to run and play. My two dogs will be at my house so ideally, I watch your animals at your place or take them on a walk somewhere in the area.
“Tami always sets my mind at ease! She’s highly reliable and both my cat and dog love her (as does my friend’s dog when visiting). She sends good updates and pics too. I know that my fur babies are in good hands when I have to work late and Tami drops in to take care of them.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
