About: My house is a great place for dogs to stay in the Brainerd Lakes area, I have plenty of room in the house, and have 13 acres of wooded property for them to enjoy when we go outside! ***Fall 2023 update**** I now have a fenced in backyard to utilize with pups coming over to visit! I have had a dog of my own growing up for 12 years. Currently, though I do not have any dogs. I used to volunteer part-time to train future service puppies for the blind for over 3 years. ( I have worked with 9 or 10 dogs in the Leader Dog for the Blind program) I have a flexible schedule, and I'm always willing to figure out a solid plan with potential people who need a sitter for their awesome furry friends. I am capable of working and looking after dogs with medical needs as well :). I have worked in probation, law enforcement, corrections, and mental health for over 11 years now. I am a very energetic person who enjoys exercising, and enjoy bringing dogs for walks. I have been on Rover for 4 years I enjoy traveling the world in my free time. ***I respond to requests generally within 10 minutes*** I have a pretty flexible schedule so I will do my best to assist with whatever drop off or pick up time you may have :). I now have a fenced in area in my backyard. My driveway is about a 1/4 mile from my house to the road so traffic is not a concern. I can crate if requested.

I currently work at an animal shelter, where I’ve learned a lot about taking care of pets with all kinds of personalities, needs, and behaviors. About: Animals have been a part of my life since I was little, I’ve always been an animal lover. I’ve always wanted to be a vet or own a shelter/boarding place to take in and take care of all animals in need.. it’s never too late! I’m just not there yet. I’ve dealt with so many different breeds, ages, sizes, and energy levels that I understand what is coming! Of course one of the most important things is understanding personalities and boundaries with each dog and because of that I would love to meet and discuss with you what’s best for your dog because nobody understands them better than you! When it comes to my home I have a fenced outdoor area attached to a dog shed, I have leads they can run on, I have training collars I can use for more excessive running, I have kennels they can be put in both indoor and outdoor, and I also have an indoor “dog room” for large free roaming. I make sure to accommodate all options in case there are pups who don’t get along, or for dogs who rather be alone. I have swimming pools available for all day swims, shade, and plenty of bones and toys! With the numerous options I have to care for each personality I would love for you to view all my options and let me know what you believe works best for your pup! Now when it comes to visits inside your home, I will treat it with respect! I will be looking around briefly to see if there’s a possibility of an accident and in that case it will be cleaned up ASAP. I also will make sure there is plenty of access to food, water, toys, or whatever it is that desired to be set up for your pup before I leave!

About: Rised on a hobby farm so grew up with all sorts of animals. My very own puppy came to me when i was 12 years old and have had a fur baby pretty much since. Have had some training in puppy classes and obedience. Have work with Bark Busters of the Twin Cities. Over the last 6 plus years I have joined a pet service company based out of the Twin Cities who specialize in doggy day care, dog walks, pet sitting for vacation clients in their home and also in our home. Pets come first. Working from home gives us the flexibility to care for your pets 24/7. Plenty of exercise, play time and of course scratches and love time. When pets come into our home we treat them as if they are our own. Currently the big back yard is not fenced in, however that will be changing very soon. In the meantime we will be going on more walks and being outside with your pets on a leash. We have one furbaby, and he is definitely a spoiled baby. If for some reason our pets do not get along, we will have a separation for our pets to keep all safe and yet still make sure that your pet feels like they are at their 2nd home. We will customized your home habits as you request. Crated as needed or want by our clients.

About: I have owned and taken care of cats and dogs for my whole life. I love all of the animals big and small! I have also taken care of family and friends pets many times! About: With five years of experience, I've developed a deep understanding of dog care, gained from working at various doggie daycare and boarding facilities. I also provide home visits, walks, and host dogs in my own home. I foster for a rescue, ensuring that my personal fosters and client dogs are kept separate. I live with two cats, one of whom is very dog-friendly, and two female dogs who are more reserved, preferring interactions on their own terms. My male Pitbull, however, is very playful. All my dogs are comfortable crating overnight and when I'm at work. I can only board male dogs, or smaller, submissive female dogs under 30 pounds. I work part time I’m the summer with a varying schedule. During the school year I am a teacher. I am gone from 7:30-4 daily. When dogs visit my home they are leashed in the yard, and will probably keep a drag leash on them while they learn the boundaries of the home. I will crate and rotate if needed to give the dogs time to settle in. I can provide mealtime enrichment in the forms of snuffle mats, frozen meals fillable treat toys, puzzle treats, snuffle games etc. I have boundaries in my home when it comes to behavior and dogs will get breaks in their kennel as needed for cool down time or an overstimulation break. If a dog has structural needs or some behavioral concerns, I am happy to talk about how/if I can accommodate them in my home. We have an abundance of chew toys, stuffies, and balls for dogs to play with but we can also remove them if your dog has some resource guarding tendencies with new dogs. When doing drop ins in a client home I make sure to be non threatening when arriving and giving the dogs lots of space and time to get used to me before expecting to take them out of their crate. I would need a breakdown of the house rules and can hold the boundaries needed. For walks, I don’t want to be tugged around, so I can provide alternate tools to help the dog walk better, including but limited to; head halters, front clip harnesses, slip leads, prong collars(I am trained in how to fit and use them properly). This can all be a discussion before services are scheduled. I also prefer to meet all my clients beforehand to ensure a proper fit for my home. All of my dogs are utd on their Rabies & Distemper/Parvo vaccines as well as spayed and neutered. They receive flea and tick preventatives monthly. Any dog I take into my care will need to be utd on distemper/Parvo and rabies vaccines at a minimum. No UNspayed females. UNneutered males will be a case by case basis. They will also need to be on flea and tick preventatives as well. Preferably oral. Over the counter topicals don’t work well.

About: i have dog sat for multiple people and love all dogs/ cats. i have experience with puppies and also older dogs. i would prefer to not have the dog be aggressive if possible. i have also taken care of a couple cats and would feel comfortable doing that also! Right now i am working around 30 hours a week but i work during the day so i’ll be able to let them out and i don’t work full 8 hour shifts so they wouldn’t be home alone too long! I will make sure to follow all the instructions you give me while taking care of your pets, because i know they’re your family and i wouldn’t want anything to happen to them.

About: I am comfortable with puppy sitting, I take care of my grandparents cats when they are on vacation, along with this I am also an amazing nanny! Currently, I am nannying three days a week 8 AM to 4 PM, 1 1/2 weeks in June I will be working as a camp nanny 8 AM to 9:30 PM. Whether I’m staying overnight or stopping by for a drop-in, I care for your pets like they’re my own. I stick to their routine as closely as possible—meals, walks, playtime, cuddles, or just quiet companionship—whatever helps them feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I also make sure you stay in the loop with updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is in loving, capable hands—whether it’s for the night or just a quick check-in.

About: Flexible schedule, lots of trails in my area for your puppies to explore, trustworthy, dependable and easily contacted. I’ve had pets of my own in the past that I loved and adored, and currently have a 3 year old eskimo/chihuahua that I adopted from the local shelter who loves to play w other dogs. I work three 12 hour shifts a week, meaning those 4 days off are great opportunities for me to walk your dog(s), stop in and check on them or stay with them. I understand the value of daily exercise and mental stimulation for a dog, so I will ensure they are getting their steps in. I also understand not everyone has the time or ability to ensure their pets receive daily exercise/time outside, and with my flexible schedule I would love to give you some peace of mind that your pet is having all of their needs met.

About: Hey, I'm Olivia! When I was 10, I created a business where I would petsit for neighbors when they would go out of town and have been doing it occasionally ever since, but I would love to get back to doing it more often. So I thought Rover would be a good way of going about it and meeting new faces and animals:) I volunteered at the Animal Humane Society in high school and loved it so much. I helped out with cat adoption and helping with questions people have about a certain cat or about adoption. I have experience with pet sitting and also dog walking. About: I have had dogs my whole life. I currently have 2 rescue dogs, both neutered ages 3 and 4. I have participated in obedience classes. I am also working on getting my dog training certification. I have worked as a kennel assistant for 2 + years. During this time, I have had the pleasure of working with all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I have also administered medications including insulin. I also have 2 cats and my kids have a guinea pig, rabbit, and bearded dragon. I also volunteer/foster dogs for a local rescue. I work part time at the kennel, so availability does vary depending on the week. Daily my pups get fed twice and let out as often as needed. I have a 6ft privacy fenced yard to keep the pups safe. Including a "safety square" to prevent the pups from escaping one of the gates. As far as your home, I will be able to accommodate whatever your safety measures are for your home

About: I've had or taken care of pets since I was a child. In my own life raising puppies and caring for those pets when they got old. Friends have often relied on me to care for their fur babies while on vacation. I'm patient and caring. Potty breaks, Play time, walks or overnights. Smaller dogs welcome at my home, otherwise I would be open to house sitting options also. Let's talk I live in a quiet neighborhood but would always have your pet on leash for walks and potty time. I currently do not have any pets at home.

About: I have a young puppy myself and a very flexible schedule that allows me to let my dog and yours out as many times a day as needed. My schedule allows for morning play time, nap time during my shift with frequent breaks outside, and afternoons/evenings to play together. I am still working on training with my puppy and would be happy to work with yours as well! I currently work part-time Monday-Thursday from 10am-3pm remotely. My schedule is very flexible and I am typically spend my morning walking my dog and then afternoons playing outside with my dog. I live on 1.1 acre. My dog is on a remote vibrate collar which is how we trained her. She does not leave the yard. We have plenty of trees that could be used for a tie out and leashed walks. I always supervise my dog while outdoors and your dog would never be left unattended outside. Inside we have a gated off area that I use for my home office that your dog could be closely monitored while I work.

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I am comfortable with dogs all breeds and sizes! I own a large german wired hair pointer lab and have a love for giant pups! I am currently an online student and have plenty of time to care for pups! I am mostly available in the morning time for walks! It is very important to me that dogs get the exercise and care they need! I will care for your dogs like they are my own!

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was about 10, my dad is a hunter so I grew up with dogs - puppies all the way to seniors. We've had 3 litters of puppies so I have experience with the youngsters! Currently, we have 4 English Setters ranging from age 2-11. My schedule is currently pretty flexible during the summer! I work at a cafe about 4 days a week but free most nights. You can message me with any questions! I care for pets in the way that I am affectionate, yet also know to let the pet know they aren't in charge. Otherwise, I love cuddles, playing outside, and going for walks!
