About: I’ve owned lots of dogs/cats in my life and have worked at 2 different daycares for dogs. I have the patience and knowledge of different breeds and their care. I also have some training knowledge with reactive and rambunctious pups! I currently work part time so I have open availability to spend time with your fur babies! Mornings or night works for me as long as I have decent notice. I live on quite a bit of land so I take my dog out to walk and run in the field. At clients homes I do the same with their yard or if no yard, a walk and playing. However the family wants, I can do.

We are so happy to have found Michaela! Rainer is thrilled when she comes to visit. Michaela is punctual, careful, and considerate, and was willing to work with Rainer despite his reluctance to walk. She leaves detailed accounts of her visits and in general has a wonderful sense of what dogs need. Thank you, Michaela!

About: I've had pets since age 7. Everything from reptiles, fish, cats, and dogs (of all sizes). Grew up with multiple cats and currently have multiple dogs and cat. I have pet sat for family and friends since before I could drive. I love getting to know new furry friends and often walk dogs at the humane society so they get proper socialization, very important. Have had to administer pet CPR twice in my life. Both times were due to dogs choking on an object/food. Positive outcomes from both incidents. Safe and happy is always top priority. I work full time but still have plenty of time and energy to care for not only my own pets but others as well. I know what I can handle and will never take on too much. When in your home I like to know your routine with your pet(s) to keep them on it as close as possible to minimize stress on them which is why I prefer to stay at a client's home with their animal, if possible. Your pet will never be unsupervised outside, even with a fenced in area I will be out there with them. Your pet will be spoiled with love and pets, if they permit it.

Maci exceeded expectations. We were traveling, so there were a lot of logistical requirements to make our walks happen, but Maci was unflappable. She showed up consistently, with courtesy and confidence and managed some frustrating behavior my pooch exhibited with grace. She recognized that Juno was upset by our absence, and gave her the time and space to get comfortable. I will definitely be calling on Maci again!

Margaret is fantastic—she has great expertise with both dogs and cats and is incredibly reliable and friendly! My dog, who is a little bit nervous generally and not small (Aussie/Husky) took to her immediately and they have gotten on beautifully! I also have two cats and Margaret gives them the same love she does her own sweet kitty. Highly recommend!

About: Growing up in the heart of the Midwest, my life has been an extraordinary journey woven with the love and care of countless pets. From the loyal companionship of dogs and the soothing purrs of cats to the curious antics of birds, rabbits, reptiles, and even farm animals, I have raised nearly every pet you can imagine. Nurturing these animals has been more than just a hobby—it's been a calling. I find an unmatched sense of connection and fulfillment in their presence, often feeling closer to animals than to people. Their trust, unique personalities, and unconditional affection inspire me daily. My passion for raising, nurturing, and spending time with animals isn’t just a part of who I am; it’s my life’s purpose. I dream of transforming this deep-seated love into my main source of income, building a career that allows me to dedicate all my time and energy to the creatures that bring me the greatest joy. I have plenty of time for your pets needs, with full availability to watch your animals & cater to their unique needs, with love & care. A typical dog-sitting day with me is filled with love, attention, and plenty of fun. I make sure every pup feels safe and cared for, with lots of playtime, walks, and one-on-one affection. Whether it’s going for a walk, playing fetch, or just enjoying cuddle time, your dog will be treated like family while you’re away. 🐾💜

About: My family always had a pet dog. As a kid I would feed and walk dogs in the neighborhood while they were out of town. As I grew older I would stay at family or friend's homes if they went out of town. I'm in search of a similar situation in South Bend - dog walking and light housework included! Weekdays I can stop in and let the dog(s) out for bathroom breaks. On weekends/evenings I can stay at your home so that the dog is familiar and will make myself available 100% during that time. I prefer to stay or drop in to my client's home. I find that the dog is more familiar/comfortable this way too. I am happy to do a test run so that everyone feels comfortable/familiar!

About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life. I’ve potty trained them, taught them how to walk with a leash, taught them tricks like sit stay and say your prayers, and too many to say. I will spoil your fur babies like I do mine. You would never have any worries while you’re away they will be in good hands. I love and enjoy being around dogs and or cats. I’d send you videos and or pictures of your fur baby. Some owners have their fur babies on a schedule if so I will do the same. if there is a park nearby I’d probably take them there. But first I would ask the owner what they would like me to do sense it is their pet. I'm retired so I'm flexible. My routine is the fur babies routine. I'd like to keep it that way for them, so I would need to know. I have a fenced in yard, not big for big dogs tho. They will be fed, played with and cuddled. If they need to be caged I have a large one for their comfort.

Marlie is amazing. Very kind, professional. She works with animals every day so she was very good with meeting my two pups. She came to meet me in person last minute the day of booking my dogs. She is very good with communication. Let’s me know if there are any issues/concerns, asks questions once. Leaves detailed notes with pictures. Responds quickly regardless if it’s outside of the time she dedicates for my animals. I would highly recommend her. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
