About: I have 6 years of hands-on experience caring for my friends and family dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from large breeds like German Shepherds and Pit Bulls to smaller breeds like Yorkies and Corgis. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs, couch loving dogs, playful puppies, and affectionate companions, and I understand the importance of patience, routine, exercise, and making every pet feel safe and cared for while their owner is away. I recently graduated high school so my schedule is very flexible and open to provide routine dependable care for home and your pets while you are away. I always make your pets safety and well being a top priority by keeping pets in a stable safe environment including outside in yards, on walks, as well as inside their home.
“That is a great addition—it shows she really understands different cat personalities, from the "spicy" ones who hate grooming to the shy ones. Here is the updated review with those details included: ### Review for Liz **Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** Liz provided incredible care for my three cats while I was away. It is always a bit stressful leaving a multi-cat household, but Liz handled everything with total professionalism and genuine care. She stayed on top of their specific needs, including: * **Medication & Maintenance:** She reliably administered medicine and kept the litter boxes spotless. Food and water were always fresh and topped off. * **Frank:** I loved the updates about her playing with him; she made sure he got plenty of exercise with his favorite laser toy! * **Rudy:** She even managed to give Rudy a good brushing—something he usually hates when I do it! She clearly has a magic touch. * **Ryan:** For my hider, Ryan, Liz took the time to find her every day just to lay eyes on her and make sure she was safe and doing okay. It’s clear Liz truly loves animals and respects their individual boundaries. I came home to happy, relaxed cats and a tidy home. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, patient sitter!”

About: I’ve had experience since I was born but I’ve been more attentive and actually working to take care of them since 13. I’m 18 now, I have watched scared dogs, big dogs, friendly dogs, jumping dogs, sleepy dogs, small dogs, and same goes for cats! I have 4 dogs currently, and I freed them and take them out all the time, so extra dogs wouldn’t make any difference I would just do the same with them as I do with my dogs! They would have all permissions as my dogs! I will take them out, check them for tics or anything hurting them if they show it. Feed them obviously! And give them treats on certain occasions, or whenever you say I can give them. I take my time with them and love them with my whole heart! Your dog will be treated exactly how I treat mine!
“Kimberly is awesome! She always keeps us up to daye and send pics of our boys each time she drops by. You will not find a better person for your pet sitting needs!”

I have cared for both small and large adult dogs through regular walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, ensuring they receive the exercise, attention, and care they need. I am comfortable handling energetic, strong dogs as well as senior dogs that require a gentler approach. My priority is always the safety, happiness, and well-being of every dog, and I treat each pet with the same love and care I would give my own. I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to check in on pets. Prefer morning walks and late afternoon walks.Have an open schedule. When caring for pets in clients’ homes, I make sure they stay comfortable by following their regular routines. I provide fresh food and water, take dogs on walks, let them outside for bathroom breaks, clean up after them, administer medication if instructed, and spend quality time playing with and comforting them. I also keep the home clean and secure by bringing in mail or packages if requested, watering plants, and ensuring doors and gates are locked before leaving. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind by providing reliable, attentive, and loving care while they are away.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals and feel very comfortable handling pets with different needs and personalities. I currently work in recreational therapy twice a week, which has helped me develop patience, responsibility, and strong attention to detail skills that carry over into providing safe and attentive pet care. As an online college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time, consistency, an supervision they deserve. At home, our family has five dogs, so I am very familiar with managing multiple pets at once and maintaining consistent schedules. In addition to daily care, I have experience with overnight dog sitting that includes week-long stays where I handled feeding, walks, playtime and managing pet's normal routines. I have cared for puppies, senior dogs, and cats and I understand how to adjust care depending on energy level and age. I have also taken care of chickens while house sitting, so I am comfortable with a variety of animals beyond just dogs and cats. Overall, I am dedicated to making families feel safe with leaving their pets at home and making the pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work part time and am an online college student. I work Wednesday and Friday nights from 4pm-9pm. For my college classes I do not have to be on any type of zoom, so I do my course work at my own pace. I provide care in my clients home so pets can stay in a familiar, low-stress environment and maintain their normal routine. I follow all care instructions including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and any specific preferences the owner provides. Safety is my top priority. I work to build trust with both owners and pets by being consistent, patient, and respectful of each pet's personality. I also have reliable transportation, so if an emergency does arise I can provide additional needs.
“Benjamin took great care of my 2 cats. He always sent a picture, whether of the cats (if he saw them), or of a full food and water bowl. He also checked in to let me know the cats were doing well. I absolutely recommend him and would have him watch my cats again!”

“Alexis is great. She met our 3 dogs before we left for the weekend, and took great care of them. Love the pics she sent and look forward to having her watch them in the future!”

“Samantha took great care of our two dogs and gave one of them the medicine she needed on time. She sent lots of pictures and helpful updates. Will definitely use her services in the future!”

“Vanessa provided multiple drop-in visits for my dog. She was responsive all the time and kept me updated on how he was doing constantly. Definitely recommend!”

About: Over the years I have had experience with dogs, rabbits, fish, cats, pigs, cows, chickens. I grew up on a farm with cows, pigs, and chickens. As an adult I have owned a rottweiler (2011-2019) and labradoodle(2016-2020) that I absolutely loved and made me fall in love with dogs. They are now angels watching over me. I currently have five kitties rocky (17yrs), Simba (7yrs), Gracie (2yrs), Penny (2yrs), and Bella (1yr). During COVID I had pet and food rabbits and chickens for meat and eggs. I work fulltime during the day usually Monday through Friday 5am-4pm. I work part time on the weekends for a DJ which is usually just Saturdays 3pm to 11pm depending on the event. I enjoy my down time caring for my furrbabies and making sure they have food and water and clean litter boxes. I am always trying to find new ways to make them live a better and happier life. I have a split foyer with 5 cute and lovable kitties. I have a temporary catio on my deck for them to safely enjoy the outdoors. I live in a semi quiet neighborhood that I enjoy taking longs walks around. I make sure that the animal is comfortable with me and not scared as stress is not good for an animal. I love getting outside and going for walks so if your animal needs a walk, it will just make my heart happier to have company. Fuurbabies are family so I will treat your furrbaby just like if they were my own.

“I give Bree a rating of 1000/10. This was the longest time (8 days) that we had to leave our curmudgeonly old-man behind and I was concerned, but Bree went above and beyond to make sure our Puppy Cat had companionship and felt loved. She kept in regular communication with us and reported in detail about each visit with him. She even provide photo evidence that he allowed her to touch him! I didn't think about it until I saw the pictures she provided, but she paid attention to the details during our initial meeting and I was especially pleased that our old man's food was handled how and where he was used to so it was one less disruption. We will definitely ask Bree to sit for us next time we need.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
