About: I can work with dogs that have anxiety and aggressive. And cats too and any other animals. As I love animals of any size big or small Saturday-Sunday I can do anytime Monday-Friday after 2:30pm unless I'm staying in the house sitting and petsitting. Then time doesn't really matter as much then. Environment would be your home as I rent and they don't allow petsitting. Depends if yard is fence area if it is then I will play ball with them.
“Heather was excellent and took care of our dog and cats while we were out of state for 10 days. She set up a meet and greet with us before hand and then stopped over to meet the pets and learn how to take care of them. She was great at communicating and sent us updates and photos each visit. We will absolutely contact Heather again when we need a pet sitter. Thank you Heather!”

“Gabby was able to take my pups as a last minute booking, which was a lifesaver for us. My pups looked happy and comfortable with her. The cat even came out to visit her, and she doesn’t people to often.”

About: I've had pets my whole life, from cats, to dogs (ranging from dachshunds to mastiffs). I had a job for a few years as a kennel and boarding technician for high end clients prior to moving and was able to get even get experience in situations like giving medication to cats, diabetes shots for animals and setting up schedules for feedings. Currently I'm putting my feelers out there to see whats available for sitters and pet care help in the area. Once I'm able to start I will be available to help from 9am-6pm any day of the week. I currently will not offer boarding at my residence and will not stay overnight in a clients house, however during visits for pet care I will introduce myself to the pet as appropriate to make sure they're comfortable with me. Id prefer a meet up prior to the need for care to ensure comfort in both the pet and myself. Pet care rules set out by the client will be followed as it is their household and they know their pet best. For cat care, litter will be scooped if it is a multiple day care situation.
“Lexi took great care of our cat while we were gone, she is really great about sending pics & videos. It was really nice to not have to worry about leaving the cat alone because I knew she was being well taken care of. Highly recommended!”

About: I am an animal lover. I have had cats all my life, and dogs for most of it. Big, small, furry, I can help you! At the moment I work remotely and will soon start as a substitute teacher, so I anticipate having a fair amount of free time on my hands. I have been caring for cats, dogs for over 30 years (I'm 35 and I've been doing it my entire life). I would love to play tug-o-war, fetch, snuggle with kitty, or whatever they want to do!
“April did a wonderful job watching our 2 cats. Our home was left exactly as we left it and my cats were both very happy. She also sent several photos after each daily check-in, which was a wonderful addition to the visits.”

“Amazing pet sitter! Katelyn kept me updated with messages and pictures while we were gone. She’s very caring and trustworthy. We would definitely recommend and will be rebooking with her in the future.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was in high school and had my first dog, Charlie. I’ve watched dogs overnight with me and I’d love to watch your dogs during the day. Over the weekends. I’m available and in the afternoons and evenings I’m available after 4. I’d mostly like to walk dogs but I could house sit on a long weekend. I would love to take your dogs for walks throughout your neighborhood or mine! I am also happy to stay and keep your dog company while you are out and about.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Newaygo. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
