“Thank you so much to Shanea and family for caring for our Boy during a busy trip, and being so lovely and patient with a rapidly changing schedule. We would definitely book Shanea again anytime we are in town!”

About: I have a small dog, an indoor piggy, and a caged bird. I have grown up with pets, and always make sure they are properly taken care of. I love all animals, and strive to provide them the best stay possible. I am currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to spend with the fur babies! I enjoy walking in the morning and evening, and if your pup enjoys that they can tag along! The animals will be taken care of just as my own. My dog is spoiled, and loves to snuggle. She’s is not aggressive towards other dogs, she just prefers humans. The animals are allowed on furniture and allowed to sleep in bed with Charlie and myself; as my home is their home for the duration of their stay!
“Thank you Justin & Melissa for taking good care of Nick for me . I will definitely use your services in the near future. Thank you for being so accommodating for us . You’re the best . Thanks again Mike”

About: Have over 10+ years. Having owned my own dogs. Ready to care for yours ! New to town here, excited to make new friends for my pup! I’m a Stay at home mom. So I’m home almost all of the time. To dedicate to your pet. Love to walk in the neighborhood here too. We take walks, go for hikes, play outside in the fenced backyard. Or just relax in the living room and be couch potatoes. Or I can come to you and do the same.

About: I am just starting to my fourth career, playing with your companion. I recently retired from teaching sustainable development at UAlbany. I now spend my days outside with hairy friend Herman. I picked up my first stray, Bandit, at 9. I have had a at least one dog since then, I am now 63. All from shelters or strays. I also did doggie foster care too. Known to be gentle and friend of the furry ones. I start each day with a morning meander across the 25 acres on a dead end road. Your companion will be well exercised, loved and cared for as long as they get along with my 14 year old hairy friend Herman, who lets cats eat from his dishes. He runs the place when it comes to house rules. He does not have viscous bone in his body. After three careers and global travel I am recently retired. My days are spent gardening, walking, sitting on the porch, listening to music, etc. I am rarely gone more than a few hours as Herman, my four legged friend, needs special care at 14 years old. I am typically up before dawn, no dog or alarm necessary. My day typically begins with me waking predawn and greeting the new day with my hound Herman on the 25 acres we cohabitate. Most is abandoned agriculture returning to forest for 35 plus years that is bisected by a small babbling brook. Breakfast is then served before returning outside. In climate weather I am outside more than 70% of my day outside. At 14 he chooses to stay in sometimes. Your companion will be free to make their own choice too. My life ambition is to nurture life. I have cared for pets since I was born as my family had cats. There is a fenced area that includes four shaded area. There will be plenty of water, including a baby pool for play as well as sprinklers. This area is shared two fences lines with my garden, has direct access to a walk out basement, and is fully visible from my porch. The dogs will have near 24/7 personal attention and care. I live sustainably. There are no chemicals in my lawn or garden. I have an enclosed porch that in the summer is open air, but no steps to escape. Only with your permission would I walk a guest off leash. Before walking them off leash I will need feel 100% confident they respond to command when other distractions are present. Again with your permission I would take your friend to a fenced in dog park visit as a trial run. Herman, my housemate, is a happy healthy 14 year old he is my best reference. He also has final word on all guest of all species. About an 1/2 acre is fenced with direct access from the house through the basement door. It includes shaded doggie lounges, a baby pool in the summer, toys galore, and lots of attention as the space is adjacent to my garden and the covered porch. It has the capacity to be divided if unruly dog needs to be isolated or there are little ones that just need time away from the bigger ones. Indoors, dogs are free to roam in the basement and first floor. If they are cage trained I can accommodate that. The two beds are off limits. To prevent misunderstanding with bed loving dogs I will keep my guest room. Both thenporch and the living room couches are fine. Little ones may use chairs too. The house is really set up for Herman’s comfort and safety. The 32x10 covered front porch is a favorite of Herman and all his visiting friends. Your hairy friend will be delighted by this feature too. You dog will be welcome to hang out there too. One more thing, the hardwood floors are currently covered in rubber “yoga mats” as Herman can not cope with slippery floors. There are also many large dog beds that Herman is happy to share. Opps, where are our manners; welcome to our slice of Paradise!😊
About: My first rescue was a mixed breed puppy for our family. She died after 17 years of filling our hearts with joy. My second rescue was also a mixed breed puppy. She is very affectionate and energetic. I have watched dogs for my family and neighbors on multiple occasions. I have a huge yard with a pond for running and swimming and there is always lots of snuggles and love inside. I work remotely 4 out of 5 weekdays. On the day I go into the office, my husband has the flexibility to stop in several times to walk the dog around the back yard and hand out treats. Safety is the number one concern and I would always have your dog leashed outside. Inside they would have plenty of space for play and rest .
“A successful first time ever at doggie daycare for my Tucker! Charlene and her husband were very gracious and accommodating, and kept me updated on my blind and elderly boy's day. I am very happy, and I will definitely use them again.”

“My dog had a fabulous time at daycare with Mikia, her daughter and her dog Zara. I received some great photos (including some funny ones of the dogs wrestling) and felt comfortable knowing the dog was having a good time, socializing and burning off her adolescent energy while I was at work. Highly recommend!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life, but really started taking a lot of responsibility for their care around 12. From small breeds to large, I've loved them all! I have experience with behavioral issues, medication administration, seizures, and other medical issues. I'm a stay at home mom of two beautiful disabled children. We have one cat and one dog. I'm always home and available during the day for boarding. We have nice, big yards and we live in a very friendly neighborhood! I'd also love to help take care of your babes on the weekends, evenings, and occasionally during the week! I have an unfenced but spacious yard. Our home has the capacity to keep everyone separated if needed, but lots of room to be together, too! We have plenty of room for a crate, if that's how your sweet babe thrives, but we also support snuggles during sleep, too!
“Our dog Indy has separation anxiety so we are always hesitant to leave him with others. All of that hesitation melted away when we met Claudia! She is such a caring individual, and she was truly able to get Indy to come out of his shell and relax while staying with her. When I picked Indy up he was calm and relaxed and seemed like he actually wanted to stay with her! And Claudia's communication was excellent as well. All the photos really put our mind at ease.”

“10/10 AMAZING!! Hanna truly went above and beyond for my pup, providing exceptional care and support! I was in Ithaca for an intensive week at school, and needed last-minute help with my dog so she wouldn't be stuck in the hotel room all day while I was in class. Hanna responded quickly to my request and was extremely accommodating when school responsibilities extended my dog's care past the agreed-upon timeframe. I received occasional updates and photos during the day, and Hanna was very responsive to any messages. Highly recommend Hanna and her services, and I will definitely be a repeat customer the next time I find myself in Ithaca with my dog! Thanks so much again!!”
