3. Joe W.
“Rommel can be pretty shy around new folks so I am always nervous about introducing him to new people. He also isn’t a very affectionate dog (he only likes being petted when he first wakes up, then he has has enough and doesn’t really want that). When I went to pick him up he was loving all over them. I haven’t seen him warm up to anyone as quickly and as completely as he did here. What a wonderful experience!”

About: I've taken care taken care of pets for almost as long as I remember. My family always had multiple cats I was the 'big boy' in charge from when I was about 8. Outside of the house I was friends with a many dog owners and have experience around a variety of different breeds. I enjoy learning about the behavior of dogs and figuring out their personalities and how each dog is unique and requires its own specific care and attention. I currently live with my grandmother, her cat, a cat of my own and assortment of fish. Every morning feeding them all and making sure the cat has water is the first thing on my to-do list. I also work from home so I love to take breaks from work to play with the cat and relax with my fish. Basically, pet care is already a part of my routine and adding an extra pet will only extend the enjoyment! Making sure you pet is comfortable with me, and the environment if they are at my house, is my top priority. I know how much attention dogs can crave and making sure they receive that is very important to me. When at my home, the dog will be allowed to roam free (assuming you wish that to be the case) whenever I am home, which is most of the time. When I do need to leave for more than an hour or 2 they will be left alone, I prefer to put them in a crate, but I know how stressful and boring that can be for them, so that will be kept to a minimum whenever possible. When at your home, I can follow whatever rules you'd like. As much as I love dogs, I can still be adamant that they know the rules and continue to follow them without causing any harm.

14. Dan C.
About: I have dog sat 2-4 times each year for many years. Whether it was watching dogs at my house, or going 3-4 times a day to a house, I have always had positive feedback!! I work as an appraiser and a part time serve. I can be flexible and open to different schedules throughout the days of the work week. I live on my own. I let pets roam around freely in my apt to get comfy. It helps them build trust with me at their pace.
