“Laura is a wonderful person and a great caregiver for our fur babies. She has taken care of our cats more than once. If you hire her once, you will definitely hire her again. I highly recommend her!”

“She was so sweet with clover and clover adored her! She was great about keeping her litter box clean and she always had food and water in her bowl. Clover had thrown up and she was kind enough to clean it up for me and give her some medicine!”

“Pup came back nice and tired from her walk. Was given plenty of water. Cori was on time and handled my dog great! (She tends to pull on the leash) Will be booking with her again for regular weekly walks! 🐾”

“Alexandria did an awesome job taking care of my little old man while I was away. She sent reporat and pictures and kept me informed every step of the way. I highly recommend her!”

About: With 5 years of caregiving experience, I’ve developed a very patient, attentive, and nurturing approach that helps pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand the importance of routines, trust, and individualized care, and I’ll always treat your pets like they’re part of my own family 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I truly enjoy spending time with animals and giving them the attention and care they deserve. I currently work in the education field and am out for the summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m naturally nurturing, patient, and attentive, and I love creating a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable, cared for, and happy while their owners are away 🐾 I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. In a client’s home, I carefully follow their pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter or potty breaks, medications if needed, and plenty of attention and affection. I understand how important consistency is, especially for cats and pets who may feel anxious when their owners are away. My goal is to create a calm, clean, and stress-free environment where pets feel cared for and comfortable at all times 🐾
About: Hi my name is Macie. I am a college student finishing up my degree in radiation therapy. I am a huge animal lover!! I have always grown up surrounded by so many pets. I can’t remember a time that there hasn’t been a dog next to me. I currently have a Great Dane that turned two not too long ago! There are also two other dogs in the house that I love just as much! I can assure you that I will treat your “babies” like they were my own, not only because I’m an animal lover, but because it’s how I want my “baby” treated while I’m away. I couldn’t imagine my life not being surrounded by furry friends so, I can’t wait to meet you and your pet family!
About: Hi there! Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve grown up with pets and have experience with pet sitting, walking, bathing, and giving medications when needed. I currently have two cats and absolutely love spending time with animals of all kinds. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to provide patient, loving care to help them feel comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet needs lots of playtime, walks, cuddles, or extra attention, I’m here to help! My availability is somewhat flexible and may vary week to week due to being a stay-at-home mom. I’m generally available for evening visits and weekends. Because my availability can be sporadic at times, I appreciate advance notice whenever possible. I’ll always communicate clearly and do my best to accommodate your pet care needs! At this time, I only offer care in your home and do not provide boarding or in-home stays at my house. I currently have two cats of my own and want to ensure they remain comfortable and stress-free in their environment. I’m happy to provide drop-in visits, feeding, litter box cleaning, medication administration, playtime, cuddles, and loving care for your pets in the comfort of their own home where they feel safest and most relaxed.
“Summer was wonderful! We went on a last minute vacation and she took care of our cats and ferrets. This is the first time we've had someone we don't know take care of them and she went above and beyond. The pictures made our day! We would have her pet sit again and highly recommend her!”

About: Hello, My name is Holly and I love working with animals. I have some experience working with dogs, having had several dogs of my own growing up. I have also worked with watching other friends' animals, dogs and horses. I have a huge heart for animals of all kinds growing up with numerous exotic animals in my home while my dad was working as a science teacher. I am willing to visit other people's homes and watch after their pets. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I do in choosing your perfect match. Thank You! Holly My schedule is ever-changing. There are a lot of days I have all the time in the world to be helping out. My personal life does not involve any pets or kids of my own. I am reliable when it comes to following instructions and keeping a professional demeanor. I am always willing to go above and beyond for people without overstepping my boundaries.
“SHE WAS AMAZING!!! So sweet and I am very anxious about leaving my babies in the hands of someone unfamiliar but she made it so easy by being so nice about constant updates and pictures to keep me at ease! Very respectful and treated them as they were her own! I’d say if your looking for a dog sitter she is the best out there!!!”

About: Throughout my life I've grown up around and cared for many dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals. I've also had the wonderful opportunity to participate in my high school's doggie daycare, where we walked, played, and provided grooming services to dogs. My lifelong love for animals has led me to become a student at Texas A&M majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries, and for my freshman year I was a member of a service dog training organization called Patriot Paws. Currently I'm volunteering weekly at a wolfdog sanctuary where I clean enclosures and care for the wolfdogs that reside there! My availability should be accurately reflected on my calendar. Im usually available all times of day and any day of the week. I prefer at least 2 days notice for a booking. When caring for pets, I'll try to care for them in the same way they're used to when their owners are home. If there's any specifications for feeding, walking, etc. I'll follow it as close as I can.
About: Like everyone on this site, fur babies are the best! I grew up around all types of animals. While a teenager, my parents lived in the country so I helped birth, both puppies and kittens. I was also in FFA in High School where I raised and showed pigs. My family and I have two goldendoodles, Charley and Maggie, and one three legged cat, Max. They are spoiled rotten and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. My Doods are 1/2 sisters and I potty-trained them both. I have experience in giving meds by mouth only. I have cared for doggies of all sizes - from a small miniature beagle to a Great Dane. I have cared for seniors as well. I currently work full time and have somewhat of a flexible schedule that allows me to take care of your fur baby when needed. I don’t mind working some weekends but I do have a family that I love so some weekends will be off limits. I will try my best to make sure my calendar is up to date. I am very happy to come and care for your pets in your own home. I do have my own pets, but for liability purposes, I would prefer to not have anyone else’s pets in my home. As far as how I would care for your pet in your home, I would love them as if they were my own. We would play and snuggle and just have fun.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Waverly. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
