“This was our first time hiring a dog sitter and we were super nervous at first. With that being said from the moment we dropped Pluto off we received photos from Jackie. She communicated with us everyday. Pluto had an upset stomach during his stay which Jackie communicated. He was in good hands with her. We appreciate you so much!”

“One of our best Rover experiences. From the initial meetup through pickup, we felt completely at ease and confident our dog was in great hands. Communication was excellent, and it was clear our dog was well cared for and happy. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend.”

“Monika is truly great! She is flexible and has helped us out last minute with changes in our plans. We’ve used her services several times already and will definitely book again. Our dogs come home happy and peaceful - such a difference from when they are at the kennel. We have 2 smaller dogs that aren’t exceptional with other dogs, and her larger dogs are sweet and gentle with them. Coming back there a second time they got so excited and were ready for playtime! Monika’s a good communicator, sending little pics and videos of the pups while we are gone. I highly recommend her services.”

“Awesome experience. Great communication and got photo updates consistently. This family helped me out greatly when I was in a tight spot last second. My dog Bear had a wonderful stay!”

“Haley was amazing with our dog, Atlas. This was our pup’s first stay away from home and Haley worked hard to make sure Atlas felt comfortable and loved. She sent us updates daily with pictures and videos which really helped to alleviate our own anxiety about leaving Atlas. Haley even gave Atlas a bath and brushed her out before we picked her up and that is a job in itself! We will most definitely leave our pets with Haley in the future without concern knowing they will be loved and well cared for.”

“My boys dont have a lot of experience staying with other people, but im so glad u booked with Lilleigh and Gwen! They made my boys right at home and gave them constant love! I was able to actually enjoy our trip and not worry if they were comfortable.”

“Vivian was great with our dogs. We have a 5lb Yorkie that can be anxious, but she walked right up to Vivian in the meet and great. She demonstrated no anxiety during her stay with Vivian. Our Boots settled right in and made friends with Vivian’s dogs. Vivian sent pictures all throughout the visit. We will certainly use Vivian again and again.”

“Parker was excellent at taking over the care of my dog after she was hit by a car. Very good communication, attended to her medication and observant of her behaviour after head trauma diagnosis.”

“Erin was amazing!! She sent me updated photos of Bentley everyday! Great communication, Bentley instantly loved her the moment I dropped him off. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing he was in good hands! Highly recommend Erin, she will take care and love on your dog like they are her own! Thank you, Erin!”

“Words can’t express how much love my baby receive while in her care. I almost cried because she loved him just as much as I do and that means a lot to me while I’m out working unable to be with him. We are and will be a repeat client. We might have to make her the god-mother at some point!!!!”

“Jennifer did an AMAZING job dog sitting for us! It’s evident that she truly cares about the wellbeing of pets! She kept me and my husband in the loop the whole time we were gone! We felt very comfortable leaving our pup with Jennifer and confident that the best possible care was given! Above and beyond 5 stars!!!”

“Jamie and her family treated my boy with so much love and compassion while we were away. I felt extremely comfortable and at ease immediately upon our first interaction. My stress was gone knowing that my pup was in good hands and treated like one of their own. I’ll absolutely be reaching out to Jamie in the future and I encourage anyone considering her to look no further. She is the best of the best and I’m beyond grateful and lucky to have found her. I also worked at a doggy daycare/boarding and have experience in; bathing, feeding, soothing, playing with, and administering certain medications to pups! I’m a huge dog lover and have had dogs all my life. Firm believer that they deserve the world! I currently only work 4 days a week and I work night shifts and am free from early mornings to evenings on days I work and free all day the days I don’t! I currently live in an apartment however I have an abundance of doggy parks with one only 5 minutes away from me! I also have a lot of grass area in my neighborhood! I like to frequent walks and play time (of course if your dog is up for that), or just laying in on the couch together on a rainy day! Meals are important especially if yours is on a schedule and eats a set amount. Making sure your dog isn’t stressed, but happy is a top priority!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their New Town home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your New Town.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your New Town sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
