“Abigail was an excellent communicator and very trustworthy. This was our first time using Rover, and were a little nervous, but Abigail sent us photos and little updates that reassured us that our 4 kitties were in good hands. We highly recommend Rover & Abigail!”

About: I’ve spent several years providing reliable, compassionate care for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. From energetic puppies to senior pets who need a gentler touch, I tailor my approach to each animal’s unique needs. My experience includes daily walks, feeding routines, medication administration, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection to keep pets happy and relaxed while their families are away. I focus on creating a safe, calm environment so every pet feels comfortable, understood, and genuinely cared for. Pet care is a natural part of my weekly rhythm, especially since I work from home three days a week. On those WFH days, I’m able to offer flexible, consistent attention—perfect for pets who enjoy companionship, regular check‑ins, or a steady routine. I build feeding times, walks or play sessions, potty breaks, and general wellness checks around my work blocks, making sure pets get the care and interaction they need throughout the day. On the days I’m in the office, I plan visits intentionally to keep each pet’s routine stable. Whether it’s morning care, midday enrichment, or evening check‑ins, I make sure every pet gets predictable, comforting attention. Because I’m used to balancing a hybrid schedule with pet responsibilities, I’m very organized and reliable about maintaining consistent care all week long. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping their routine, environment, and comfort exactly the way they’re used to. I follow the owner’s instructions closely—feeding schedules, walk times, play preferences, medication needs, and any household rules—so pets feel secure and stress‑free. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, whether they need extra play, quiet companionship, or a slow, gentle approach. I keep the home tidy and respectful, making sure food and water areas stay clean, litter boxes or potty routines are maintained, and any messes are handled right away. I also pay attention to small details like closing gates, locking doors, turning lights on or off as requested, and keeping the home feeling lived‑in and safe. Throughout the stay, I send updates and photos so owners always know how their pets are doing.

About: Let me know if your dog has any special needs, medications, or behaviors that I can account for or help with. I would love to help. If you have plants that need watering, mail, or packages that need to be brought in, I can help with that too! I'm retired and love traveling around Wisconsin and the world. Slow traveling is my favorite. I can explore new neighborhoods, cities, and local attractions without being rushed. I will follow your directions for your house and loved ones. Let me know the extra duties like watering, mail, or garbage routine. The house is left cleaner than I found it.
About: I've been taking care of dogs on my own since middle school. We've always had a family dog in the household as well as friends and neighbors who would need help with their little ones. I have a BS in Animal Science, have worked as an emergency vet assistant/triage tech for the last 3 years, and have some professional dog training experience. I currently have 2 guinea pigs, and a 2-year-old AND 1-year-old pitty/lab mix that love to come to work with me and go on all sorts of outdoor adventures! Needless to say, my life revolves around animals and I don't know what the world would be like without them! I would love to get to know your little one and be there for them (and you!) when needed! Good communication and planning helps me arrange my schedule and make myself available for your needs. I often have days off during the week so I can spend time with our furry friends while their families are at work. Having worked in an emergency pet hospital keeps me on my toes and I always put safety first. When it comes to walking outside, I double check collar/harness every time to ensure a secure yet comfortable fit that can't be slipped out of. I also know dog body language and signs of illness to monitor and keep people and pets safe!
“Natalie is terrific! She helped out with our two older dogs and a new puppy! Not everyone can handle three dogs! Natalie came prepared and the dogs really had a good time and were so calm and happy when we got home. I appreciate her communication it helped me be at ease leaving a new pup.”

“Kim and her son are the best pet sitters ever. They love our pets as much as we do. We love the pictures and updates. We can enjoy our vacation knowing Kim is taking care of our pets.”

“Hannah was able to come over on short notice to watch our puppy. She sent a video of him having fun outside to give us peice mind. She went above and beyond and stayed with him for extra time, as well as leaving our space clean and tidy. We would recommend Hannah 😊”

“I have waited 1 week to write this review because I didn't even have the words to describe my FIRST time ever using a pet sitter service with strangers coming into my home and handeling/caring-for my animals. My husband and I had it all worked out for a family member to care for our animals and that fell through two days before we were suppose to leave. Well... I could not have had a more positive experience with Christie and her team ? I felt comfortable with them from the moment we met at the Meet & Greet! I left the country the next day and felt such a peace knowing my cats would be cared for. We left 3 kittens in Christies care but we also had 2 other momma cats in the house. They were kind enough to check on the well being of my momma cats while at the house caring for our kittens. One kitten scratched her eye 2 days before we left, so Christie and her team administered eye drops 2x/daily for us. They fed our babies, gave fresh water and played with them. They sent pictures and detailed updates on the personalities and well-being of our kittens. It helped us to enjoy our trip and not worry about our animals while being gone. There is always a small sense of fear trusting someone you don't know to come into your home and take good care of your babies. Christie, her fiancé and daughter exceeded my expectations and put all fears to rest. They truly go above and beyond and I am happy to share my experience with others. We will definitely be using their wonderful services again!! ? THANK YOU SO MUCH Team Christie!!!”

About: We had a mini schnauzer growing up, who we adored! She taught us so much patience with the insistent barking, so I can handle anything!(: I’m looking to walk dogs when I have down time over the weekend, or on shorter days of work during the week (Tuesday, Thursday, some Fridays). I will be primarily walking dogs, but I will purchase a long leash for letting dogs hang out in my yard if we dog-sit. Our yard is half an acre, so plenty of space to run.
“Our dog had the best time with Sasha this week. She kept him busy, engaged, and entertained each visit. The daily reports were very detailed and enjoyable to read with plenty of pictures to view, which were always the highlight of my day. Sasha is very reliable, caring, conscientious, and easy to communicate with. I know my dog is already looking forward to another visit!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
