“Our puppy had the best time with Greta! She went on lots of walks and loved hanging out with the other doggos. She was super happy and tired at the end of the day! Definitely will book again. Thanks Greta!”

“Susan and John were great! We have a senior dog and a puppy and both felt right at home with them during their daycare visit. Thank you both for being our pup’s home away from home while we were on vacation and couldn’t take them with us on our day trip!”

“Odessa almost jumps out of the car when I drop her off to Heather. She always has an incredible time while I’m off working at class. I could not have found a better caretaker than Heather. She’s so experienced and wonderful, it’s the greatest sense of security to know your pup’s not only safe and sound but literally having the time of her life enjoying herself.”

“Our pup had the best time at Althea’s!! She had so much fun playing with the other doggos and just running around all day :) Althea has an awesome set up with tons of space for the pups and she is so good with them! Definitely will be back!”

“Kim is the absolute best. We've tired a few sitters for our Abbi (Golden Retriever) before finding Kim. No need to look any further. Leaving Abbi with Kim was like having an experienced, dog loving family member watch her. Kim sent pictures and updates throughout Abbi's stay. I highly recommend Kim and will definitely book her again.”

“Juno had a fantastic stay with Kevin & Inez last week. He is comfortable when he knows that the humans he hangs out with understand dogs and instantly connected with Inez. He came home and was super relaxed and happy (and tuckered out from the walks and spending time with other canine friends). He is looking forward to his next stay :-).”

About: I have been caring for unwanted and wayward animals for 30 years. All of our pets have been adopted as strays, from shelters or rehoming. Now, I bring these years of experience and love to your furry family members. With a team of of veterinary providers, groomers and emergency contacts in place, you can rest assured that your pets will receive the best possible attention and care. Because I much prefer to care for animals than greet customers at a WalMart, I joined Rover as my retirement job :) It's a great way to pursue my love for dogs and cats. l'm almost always available with a little notice. My home is open to your dog. Jump up on the couch, sleep on the bed, no problem unless you prefer a more structured environment and routine. Your dog will be one of the family here and will have company most all of the time. I also offer a very nice space for cats or for dogs that do not get along well with others. Not a cage or kennel but a finished 20x20 heated and furnished room in my barn loft where we can play and visit one on one.
“Suzanne is professional and friendly. She immediately put me at ease and made me feel confident about leaving our dog in her care. When I picked him up, he was happy and exhausted from playing. I'll definitely book Suzanne again.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I worked at a doggy day care facility for 5 years and gained a ton of experience with dogs of all sized and temperaments! We have had 10 foster dogs in recent years who have taught me a lot! My current dog keeps me very active and we love long walks, hikes and the beach! My schedule is currently wide open. My dog is my everything and yours will get the same love and care while with me! We do long walks when temperatures allow and brief outdoor breaks during the day to stay cool and get in some exercise! I live in an apartment that is very walkable and has many parks around! My dog is a great playmate for other female dogs, and does good with most boys as well. We love long walks on the many trails in the area and love to explore!
“She had the flexible schedule we needed, since we weren’t sure on what time frame we needed her for! Our dog loved her on first sight and seemed comfortable there. We were puzzled that she used a photo of our dog from a previous card of another sitter. But did get one current photo. Thank you!”

About: My partner, April, and I have been caring for dogs our whole lives. We have experience working with different ages, breeds, temperaments, and varying levels of special needs care. We began our training journey when we rescued our two german Shepards and trained them as our service dogs. Our girls, Maya and Sadie, have grown so much in these past years! Watching the progress is very rewarding, so we want to extend that same reward to you, your pup, and your family. At this time, we offer dog walking, drop ins, overnight stays and boarding. At this time we don’t have openings for scheduling training sessions, but if there are behavioral concerns, please let us know and we can discuss how to support your pup. We understand everyone works different schedules. Our schedules are very flexible and we want to make sure your pet is able to be cared for without time restrictions. We offer morning, afternoon, and evening hours. We will treat your pup like our own. We will discuss what is most important to you in regards to ensuring the visit is safe in their environment. It is important to let us know of any medical or special need cares ahead of time so we can properly educate ourselves first. We will discuss any routines to be followed and review safety measures to follow.
About: I grew up with dogs. They are my comfort place. Ever since I got a golden retriever at 10 years old, I've been in love. Now I care and love any dog in need of a friendly and homey place to stay while their dog owner is away. I have experience in extended time care for small dogs, like Yorkshire Terriers, Medium dogs, like Australian Shepherds or Pitbulls, and Large dogs, like Golden Retrievers. I also have experience training puppies and caring for older dogs, as well as dogs who take medication. I take pride in loving and caring for a dog like they are my own while under my care. I work from home, so I can stay with the dogs during the day mostly. I can take them for walks or expend some energy with play time to fit their needs. I have had dogs boarded at my house any day of the week, Sunday through Monday. On the weekends we have more free time to visit a dog park, play, or run errands together. During the days, I can go to your place and feed and walk them in the comfort of their own home if needed as well. I ensure the pups bring their favorite toys over and I take time to play with them and show them love. I have a lot of green space around my apartment where I can take the dogs out to the bathroom or walks on a leash, a path by the water walking distance to take them on further walks if wanted, and a dog park in walking distance to play. If at the owner's house, I make sure the dog has fun in their comfort place, but I also make sure to leave just as clean as I found it. I can stay for a little bit and let the pup run around the yard if possible, or I can take them on walks in areas they know by home.
“Christy was so awesome! She made sure my pup coconut was comfortable with the other dogs that she was watching and sent lots of adorable pictures of them all playing in the snow together. She had great communication throughout the day and i will be rebooking next time I’m in the area.”

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
