Heather was very nice and patient with my spoiled babies. I was a bit concern about them with their reaction to her large dogs. But she assured me they were ok and wouldn't be left alone with them. so that calmed my nerves . Heather was really nice. I book her again .

I couldn’t imagine a better experience with Candy and her family! She did a great job of making our dogs feel right at home and keept us updated everyday through the many photos and videos. I’ll definitely be using her again next time we need to go out of town! I highly recommend her for anybody who wants to feel confident in leaving their fur babies while on vacation.

I boarded my dog with Megan & Jaime for the weekend, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She was warm and welcoming, and she made my dog, Taj, feel right at home. Her house is beautiful and has a huge fenced-in yard—perfect for dogs to play and relax safely. She even sent me a photo of Taj lounging in the yard, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. Taj even came home with a new toy! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving place to board their dog!

Simone was great with my 15 year old Yorkie-Poo, Teddy. He has a habit of not eating when I'm not around, at least for the first day. Simone hand fed him to make sure he ate. She did that without me asking her to do it. Teddy is on medication twice a day and Simone has experience giving medication to dogs (cats, too). Teddy loved Simone's little girl! Simone sent me updates and pictures and I was able to relax on my vacation knowing that he was in good hands. I highly recommend!

Alysha did a great job, treated Zoey like one of her family, brought her into the house with her dog and cat and let her hang out with the family and their living room and bedroom. That is always very much appreciated as it does not feel like a kennel.

An amazing sitter. I went on a 5 day cruise and was so nervous about leaving my fur baby with anybody. Thankfully, Tenashia took my very last minute request and the experience was a 10/10. Very responsive when I checked in on him. She cared for my dog as if he were hers, and I couldn’t be happier. Super friendly, when I met her I knew my baby was in good hands. Will definitely book again.

Jairo boarded our dog in his home while we were traveling over the weekend. He and his wife were very attentive to my dog’s needs, and treated her like their own. We received cute photo updates of her cuddled on the couch, sunning on the patio, playing with their dog, and enjoying evening walks. Jairo is very experienced and patient with dogs and is a natural at reading dog behavior and providing safety and comfort in his home. We even had a couple of meet and greets to discuss my dog’s personality ahead of the trip and to ensure my dog got along with his animals. He appropriately introduced his animals to mine, and it gave us reassurance that our dog would be in good hands. Everyone became fast friends! She was so spoiled and loved! Highly recommend Jairo and will definitely be booking again! 🐶

About: Your pets aren't just guests; they are family. As a Veterinary Technician, I provide a level of care similar to having a pediatric nurse watch your children. My journey began at 18 as a bather and kennel tech, but my passion led me to work alongside some of the most skilled veterinarians in the field. Following the loss of my children’s father, Justin, I found myself at a crossroads, needing a career that allowed me to be there for my kids while still honoring my calling to work with animals. This led to my current mission: opening my own boarding facility in memory of Justin and my beloved rescue dog, Elsie, who stayed by my side from the day I met him until just days after his passing. When you trust me with your 'fur babies,' you aren’t just getting a sitter; you’re getting a professional dedicated to their health, happiness, and safety. I promise they’ll be wagging with joy the moment they hear my name!" I am currently not working due to conflicting hours with my children's school schedule. Therefore, I am flexible with pet sitting hours outside of school pickup/drop off times. As a person who has worked in animal health for a long period of time, safety is my main priority when it comes to your pet. I have done it all, from bathing pets to assisting in surgery. Your pet will always be in safe hands with me.

About: I've been blessed to foster more than 20 dogs over the past couple of years. I know training basics, have a big backyard, and currently have two of my own dogs who love to play. I am currently not working so I am free the majority of the time. This allows there to be little to no crating required during the day. I have a large fenced in backyard for free play and zoomies. Inside I have dog beds and toys and a lap for cuddling. My two dogs are friendly and have had plenty of exposure to other dogs through my fostering.

About: I bring 15+ years of professional experience in crisis intervention and behavioral health to every dog in my care — which means I’m especially good at reading stress, anxiety, and behavioral cues that other sitters might miss. I live on a spacious rural property with two resident dogs of my own, plenty of room to run, and XL crates set up for large and giant breeds. I’m confident and calm handling big, strong dogs, and I treat every pup like part of the family while they’re with me. Whether your dog needs a quiet, structured space or some extra patience working through anxiety, I’ve got both the background and the room to make it happen. I work a full-time job during the week, but pet care is built into my daily routine — mornings before work and evenings after are dedicated to walks, feeding, and playtime. I’m fully available for boarding and daycare on weekends, and since I live on-site at my property full-time, dogs in my care are never left alone for long stretches. Because my schedule is steady and predictable, your dog gets consistent care at the same times every day — not rushed, last-minute visits. My property is rural and spacious, giving dogs plenty of room to roam safely away from traffic and busy streets. I have two friendly, well-socialized resident dogs who are used to welcoming new dogs into the pack. For dogs who need crate time or a calmer introduction, I have XL crates set up specifically for large and giant breeds. With 15+ years of professional experience in behavioral health and crisis intervention, I’m trained to catch stress and anxiety cues early — so small issues get handled before they become big ones.

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their New Iberia home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
