Beth is amazing! Her home was perfect for our high energy dogs, and they really enjoyed playing with her dog as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to trust my fur babies with. Thank you, Beth!

My dog Bruno seemed to enjoy his stay. He loves other dogs and people. Gentry was very welcoming and very much a dog lover. She sent pictures for reassurance, which I really appreciated.

Carlie and her family took great care of my dog while I was gone. Brimley went to the park, took some walks, got to run and play ball and was fawned over by Carlie's little one. Brimley ate up allllll the attention!! I got plenty of pictures andy doggie was popped out when she got home. In fact, when I arrived to pick her up, I don't think Brimley was too keen on going home. I think she wanted to stay and play with the other doggies and their little girl. I let her in the truck and she jumped out the other side. Ha! Highly, highly recommend. I hope I can have them watch Brim again!

We learned about Rover though a relative and are very glad we did. We have used various other boarding services over the past few years for Sophie. They all have their particular strengths and weaknesses but the personal service provided through Rover is the best option right now. This is Sophie's second stay with Patty and we are very happy with her service. Sophie gets along and plays well with Patty's two dogs. This takes care of two things: Sophie gets a playmate and burns off some energy. Another advantage is that it is much more relaxing and less stressful for her to be in a home environment. Patty sends out photos and updates as well which not only show that Sophie is enjoying herself, but making herself right at home. So all around a good fit for us which we will be using again. Sophie is in good hands when she stays with Patty.

About: Hi, I’m Jessica! I was born and raised in Montague, MI and love everything about it. I have four crazy dogs, four wonderful cats, two guinea pigs, and a 7 year old son. I have 10 years of animal experience, working at two Muskegon County animal shelters and as a vet assistant. I am licensed and insured through my personal business, Muskegon's Poopin Scoopin LLC. With my knowledge, experience, and above all passion; I guarantee the best service possible. I'm currently working part time during the week, so I have extra time to love on your furry friend! I do most of my pet sitting without my son but if you have a pet that loves children, my son would love to join. Your home is my home and I will take care of your home as so. In my home, your pet can have free access to outside with the doggy door. All cats are kept separate from the dogs. All dogs are fed separately. Detailed lists of your pets routine are helpful to ensure each pet is cared for to your expectations.

I was incredibly anxious to leave my also anxious dogs at a “strangers” house for the very first time, but MJ was so kind and assuaged my anxiety by keeping in great communication. My girls had a very fun time at the farm and I know that I have a safe option now to leave my puppies when I go out of town

OUTSTANDING!!!! We were so happy knowing that our dog was so well cared for. Michelle provided daily pictures and videos which made us so very happy knowing he was in good hands. He got more than enough exercise every day and just had a blast being there. We were afraid he wouldn't want to come home. Should we travel again we know where we want him to be and will definitely recommend Michelle to anyone we know who needs dog sitting services. We are just so very pleased and happy!!!!

Hannah was so good with our 8 month old dog. First time watching him and she made him feel at home. He loved her dog and she sent me pictures of them going for a walk. She got him to eat which he never did at a kennel and he took naps. We will use her again and I am glad to know our pup has a safe and happy place to stay when we need him "babysat".

It was an amazing stay for our pet. We had to find a sitter last minute and Melissa was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She took wonderful care of our dog and even took her on adventures (walks, fishing, and sunbathing on the spacious patio). I can’t recommend this experience enough!

About: I’ve always been the go to friend/aunt to pet sit. I love all animals and would rather spend my free time hanging out with a fuzzy friend. I would loveeeeeeee to walk your dog! I currently work from home and would love a buddy to hangout with! I live close to the bike trail and many parks and would enjoy a furry friend to take walks with! If you are in need of someone to drop in, have a place for your pet to stay or just a companion for your friend to take walks with I am the one you are looking for!

About: Experienced with all kinds of dogs. I grew up with an 8lb maltese and went to boarding school where I frequently took care of a golden doodle and a pitbull/boxer puppy. Spent a summer with my brothers dog (pitbull mix), dogsat 2 older dogs for a summer (golden and mini doodle) and also have some experience taking care of cats. I’ve had experience with over hyper dogs and anxious dogs so I know how to adjust their environment to make them most comfortable. I live in a small apartment but I am right next to a park and enjoy exercising/being outside. I am currently working Monday through Friday from 7-4:30 so I am not generally available till 5:30 on a weekday. I’m available on the weekends! I have no pets of my own so your pet will be getting my full attention. I live down the road from a large park and there are many walking paths nearby. For overnights, I do have a smaller apartment so I wouldn’t want to take any dogs larger than ~40lbs as it likely would not be enough room for them.

About: I don’t have “professional” pet sitting experience but I do have personal experiences. My grandmother had puppies that I helped caring for them. She had two shih Tzu puppies that I loved like they were my own. Sadly, they both passed away around the same time. I know how important it is to take care of your pets because pets are more like family than animals. So, I hope that you will trust me enough to take care of your family. I will listen to what you need to me to do. I can be flexible and go beyond the call of duty if necessary. I am open to learning whatever is necessary to be a great caretaker. I hope you choose me. Thank you very much❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾. I work in the evenings. So, I’m free every morning. I can take your pet out for walks or dog sit overnight. My schedule can be flexible I can take your pet out for walks or I can dog sit at night. If your pet needs a companion, I can do that also

About: I’ve always grown up with many different kinds of animals from horses to dogs to bunnies. I have always been responsible for taking care of my own and family pets since I can remember. Some facts about me :) I am married and have two pets; a dog and cat. I love to bake, garden and swim. I am also an administrative assistant. I am available after work during the week, weekends and during lunch hours. I can provide meals, walks, potty breaks, play times and cuddles. Please reach out and ask any questions. 😊 My goal is to honor and glorify the Lord in all that I do and say. I believe in honesty, truth and love. I also believe that God has given humans a responsibility to be stewards to His creation, including animals (Genesis 1:26, Proverbs 12:10).

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their New Era home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your New Era.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your New Era sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
