“Liz was wonderful with our boy Cassius. She gave great updates and allowed for my first time rover experience to go smoothly and put my mind at ease. She was great with him and we came home to a happy pup.”

About: Hello, I’m Andrea! I love pets and I have experience by dog sitting my friend’s dogs and volunteering in dog shelters. Since I enjoyed it so much I want to keep taking care of dogs and helping out as much as I can, I’m responsible and caring as I know how important pets are as a part of our family. Don’t hesitate to contact me! I have a small dog back home but since I had to move he stays with my family, I’ve had him since I was a little girl so I definitely understand the love and attention that these pets need and will be more than happy to provide that for yours as well! I work mostly from home so I can accommodate both weekdays and weekends when available for your pet sitting needs, and I am able to provide walks and attention throughout the day for your pup☺️ I have a yard and can also take them out for walks as needed around the neighborhood! Currently, there are no pets in our house.
“Caitlin is great with our three cats, and she is accommodating to one of them who has special care instructions. We are regular clients of hers, and she always leaves our home clean. The cats also receive excellent care while we’re away. I highly recommend her!”

“Allison did a great job taking care of my two cats while I was away! She sent lots of cute pictures and updates for each visit. I know my cats were well taken care. Would definitely recommend Allison!”

“Serena was amazing with Chanel this weekend! The updates and photos were fantastic, and I never had to wonder how things were going while we were away. You can tell she truly cares about the animals she watches. She made sure Chanel got plenty of attention and even spent time loving on my cats too. Coming home to happy pets is the best feeling, and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend!”

“Beth is the best. She has done drop in visits for me twice, and exceeds my expectations each time. She loves my dogs and cat, and spoils them. She is super responsive to messages and follows directions perfectly. When I was out of state, my cat decided to sneak out the dog door, and got stuck outside. I messaged Beth early in the morning on the 4th of July, to ask if she could go get him back in the house, and she was ready to jump in her car and put him back in the house within minutes! I cannot tell you how scary it is to have your pet outside when you are several states away, but the relief to know that Beth was ready to respond and rescue Biscuit almost brought me to tears. I cannot say enough good things about Beth, and I think my animals would say the same thing!!”

“We had Andrea take care of our Cats while we went to visit family. We are thrilled with the care our Fur Babies received! Andrea sent us an update along with pictures after each visit. This was such a comfort to me knowing my cats were OK. We will definitely reach out to Andrea again the next time we need a sitter. 😎”

“Obviously the dogs LOVED Marcus. We walked back in the house after getting back in town and the dogs just looked at us like "oh, it's you." He took great care of them, was always on time, and did everything we asked of him, to a "T".”

“Kristen provided great care for our fur babies. She was dependable, a good communicator and made me feel at ease while we were away. I lived getting updates and seeing photos of my pets. Definitely recommend, will be calling on her services again.”

“Amanda was very pleasant to work with. She was very personable with my 2 cats, especially with my younger male adopted as a stray. He is very timid and runs from strangers, but he let her pet as shown by the many pictures she posted. I will definitely book her again.”

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
