“Crystal was awesome and we felt so comfortable leaving our dog Ozzie with her and her family! Ozzie got lots of socialization and exercise on their property and came home a very worn out puppy. Would definitely recommend!”

“We leave Happy with Lindsey and Leland each time we go out of town, we trust them with our fur baby 100%. Good experiences every time!! Happy is well loved in their home :)”

“Kara was excellent with our Golden Retriever, puppy. We were so lucky to have her take care of him. You could tell she truly cared about animals. She had a perfect place for our dog to stay with a great fenced in backyard. If we are in the area again we will contact Kara!”

“Abigail was amazing while I was on my trip. She sent so many pictures, went on daily walks, and had a beautiful yard with a doggy pool for them to play in. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog Sam had an amazing experience staying with Isabelle and Fred. It was short notice, and they made it an amazing experience throughout. They took such good care of him, even made him Christmas dog treats! Highly recommend”

“Kelly and her family are amazing! I have used her 3 times and will always continue to reach out to her first! She is great with communication and pictures that make you smile when you are miles away from your babies.”

“Such a warm and friendly host! She sent daily photos and details of the day. We felt so good knowing our dog was happy and loved while we were away. Will definitely ask her to watch our dog again. Highly recommend!”

“I’m so thankful for Zachary and his wife! Our Luna has been a bit depressed since her stroke a few years ago but after coming home from doggy daycare with them she way spunky, happy, and is even spending more time outside with a smile whereas it was difficult to get her to enjoy much time outside before as she would want to go back into the house or wouldn’t leave the back porch much. I’m so happy to see her rolling in the dirt and playing now. This means the world!!! She requires a lot of care and they did an excellent job even wrapping her foot really well and keeping it protected. We will definitely be going back and I look forward to her having another fun visit in the future. Thank you both so much and we will see you soon!”

“Alisha was great! She let us know how Penny was doing each day and sent some pictures. She took Penny for walks and everything else we requested. We would definitely have her watch our dog again.”

“Another extremely successful stay with Jessica. She takes great care of them, shares updates throughout the stay and is quick to respond. I can tell she cares about them as much as we do and loves on them. It's a relief knowing they are happy and safe when we go out of town. Thank you, Jessica!!”

“Amazing dog sitter! Super reliable, caring, and great with communication. We got regular updates and our pup came home happy and relaxed. It’s clear they truly love what they do. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and know how much love and companionship they bring to a home. For the first time, our family currently doesn’t have any pets of our own, and we would love to share that love with yours! We have four animal-loving children, ages 4–12, who would be thrilled to welcome a furry guest. I’ll be responsible for your pet’s care and supervise interactions with the kids, making sure your pet has space to rest whenever needed. My goal is to help your pet feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’ll follow your instructions and familiar routines, respect your pet’s personality, and keep you updated with photos and messages. I have the flexibility to work from home, so I’m available throughout the week and on weekends. This allows me to plan my day around your pet’s routine, with plenty of time for potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s needs and keep their schedule as familiar as possible while you’re away! Your pet will be welcomed into a loving home! We currently have no pets of our own and have four animal-loving children, ages 4–12. I’ll supervise all interactions and make sure your pet has a quiet space to relax whenever they need a break. Our yard is not fenced, so I’ll always accompany your dog outside on a leash for potty breaks and outdoor time. We live on a residential street away from a main road, and I can work from home, which gives me flexibility to provide attention and follow your pet’s routine. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, exercise, and care, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel comfortable while you’re away.
About: I've grown up with pets all my life on my family's ranch, where my dad and I specialized in training a wide range of dog breeds in bird hunting, hound hunting, herding, and general obedience skills. I am available on weekends and throughout most hours of the day during the week. I do work full time as a fish biologist, but my schedule is flexible and allows me to care for pets as needed to make sure they are always given proper care. I have a 2 year old golden retriever thats very friendly and playful. We go on walks twice a day and frequently visit dog parks. I also have a yard available for dogs to play in and use the bathroom.
“Tiana did great boarding our lab Sadie. She was very informative sending texts, videos and pictures daily of updates. Sadie was very happy when we picked her up which was great knowing she was well taken care of. I highly recommend Tiana boarding your pet!”

“My Bodi is always well taken care of with Taylor💓🤩 I always know he’s going to have a blast and that he’s loved when he’s there. She’s my “go to” for sure. So thankful for her help in spur of the moment situations too.”

“Jennifer and David are fantastic! They took great care of my high energy pup for her first dog boarding experience. I'll definitely be a repeat customer!”

“Renee took such great care of our lab. He is a gentle giant and a big chicken. She sent us pictures regularly and gave us updates which put our minds at ease. And we could tell in the pictures that he felt right at home and was getting lots of love and snuggles. She also took him on walks and threw the ball for him regularly. I’m sure he was more entertained there than he is at home. Lol We would take Maui back to her with no hesitation. Thank you for taking such good care of our pup Renee!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Mozart home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Mozart.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Mozart sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
