“Ashley was absolutely fantastic! They took such great care of Tinka and sent photo updates every day, which brought us total peace of mind while we were away. Ashley was incredibly flexible and highly communicative throughout the entire stay. When we picked Tinka up, she was completely happy and relaxed. We highly recommend Ashley and will definitely be reaching out to book them for our next trip!”

About: I have hands-on experience with high-energy dogs and know how to keep them happy, exercised, and mentally engaged. I’m patient and attentive, with a gentle approach that works well for both playful pups and older dogs who need a little extra care. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. As a veteran Marine and someone who has competitively trained dogs since 2020, I approach pet care with structure, consistency, and discipline. I make sure pets are cared for with structure, safety, and attention to detail. I follow consistent feeding schedules, provide exercise and play tailored to each pet’s needs, and keep their environment clean and comfortable. With my background in competitive dog training, I also incorporate positive reinforcement and mental stimulation to ensure pets are not only well cared for but also engaged and happy.
“Ziggy had a great time with Leaha and Snowy! She was accommodating with pick up & drop-off and sent lots of updates. I highly recommend Leaha and plan to use her in the future.”

“Shaunett is the best. Our three fur babies lover her and her husband. They are so excited and content being in their home. Shaunett keeps me well informed and sends plenty of pics while they are in her care.”

“Justin is amazing! He watched my 1-year-old puppy for 5 nights while I was away. Anyone who knows my dog knows he has an endless battery and will happily play for hours on end. I always worry a bit about leaving him because he requires so much activity to stay out of trouble, but Justin handled it perfectly. My dog came home incredibly happy, and I could tell he was in the best of hands the entire time. Thank you, Justin!”

“Amazing dog sitter! Super reliable, caring, and great with communication. We got regular updates and our pup came home happy and relaxed. It’s clear they truly love what they do. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

“Roxie had a blast on her overnight with Carolyn and Sarah. And we had a night away without worrying about anything. We knew Roxie was safe and well taken care of. It was a bonus that they had a new puppy so Roxie had 24 hours of non-stop play! I highly recommend them. Thank you!”

“My senior girl loved Janiel's place. Beautiful yard, ball throwing, and Janiel made sure to keep me updated with pics. So glad I found such a great place for Scout. She tells me she hopes to visit again.”

“Carley was a good sitter for our energetic puppy. She and her dogs knew what to do with all of his energy. We left him there for a week and didn’t worry about him.”

“Amanda provides the perfect boarding experience for Penny: being a somewhat timid dog, Penny appreciates being the only dog being hosted. Penny is always happy to go to and see Amanda, and explore the huge fenced back yard. We appreciate Amanda’s updates and great understanding of Penny. Thank you Amanda!🥰”

“Using Rebecca for in-home dog boarding was an incredible decision. This was our first experience and it truly feels like home away from home. Lots of socialization and grass (chickens and goats…haha) to run and explore! She asked detailed questions and we had a meet and greet beforehand so we were all very comfortable before the drop off. Rebecca also sent videos and pics while I was away…loved it! Mya(our dog)had a great time. I definitely recommend her and Todd. It was a great experience. Will definitely use again…many times!”

“Sherin was the best! I had a call through with my previous sitter and in one day she responded and said she’d love to take him! Sent me pics and I couldn’t have felt more at ease. Definitely book!!!!”

“Erika was great communicating with us before booking and answering questions. I’m sure my puppy had a great time with her and her dogs. Erika sent pictures while my puppy was at her house and contacted me with questions. We will definitely use her services again when visiting Post Falls, ID.”

“Kelly was fantastic! She sent pics everyday and a small update or observation on our dogs . They were cuddled and cared for. She was very accommodating when had need to change the pick up time. I highly recommend her !”

“Our dogs had a great weekend with Georgia and her pet family. She sent us photos and videos of our dogs throughout their stay. We will definitely use Georgia again for our pet needs. Thank you!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Conkling Park home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Conkling Park.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Conkling Park sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
