“Gabby and Kade went above and beyond our expectations. We came back to a spotless house and a happy dog. They provided plenty of updates and our dog loved the attention. Highly recommend!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats (and other animals) since I was a kid. A proud godmother of a Yorkshire Terrier, a sweet gentleman. Got on Rover during college, and I absolutely loved it. My situation makes it hard to raise my own pets, so I take the chance to be around them whenever I could. I work remotely, which gives me the flexibility and time to provide attentive care for animals, including long walks and companionship. This allows me to be consistently present and available while pet sitting. I’m not currently able to host pets in my own space, but I take the time to get familiar with each new environment so I can provide the best possible care. I make communication with owners a priority, especially when learning the details of a new home or routine.
“Jessica was great! Very communicative and went the extra mile with check out - started the dishwasher, took the trash cans out for pickup, picked up dog poop, and the house was super clean when we came back! The dogs were calm and we felt they did great with house sitting versus boarding them. Will 100% book again very soon! Thank you again, this was a great experience for us.”

“Fabulous experience once again. My dogs learned new things, got to play with new puzzles. I can totally relax on my vacation when Emilyanne is staying with my dogs and that is priceless to me.”

About: Raised around show dogs, with 30 years hands‑on training experience. Professional educator/teacher. Loving, dog‑only care—walks, enrichment, adventures, or calm indoor comfort, individually tailored. Huge Heart. My aunt raised dogs for show in US and Canada - and she was an emergency vet tech. I helped her with her doggies all my growing up years and learned a lot. Working on getting certified in doggy training. Have human BLS (basic Life Support for medical professionals) but also know doggy CPR and basic medical-can give shots and meds. I just have a huge heart and love to love on the doggies. Sitting same rate as boarding and sometimes easier on the doggies. I just want them to have their routines, pets, loves, favorites (if it's a walk or snuggles) - just be as anxiety free, loved on, and happy as possible while you are away. Currently my schedule is very open for all work. If this does not fill the schedule, will need to adjust around other work. But this is my current priority. If other work is needed, pets still come first and receive 150% love, care, and attention. My doggy is on the rainbow bridge. It is just me in the home. I follow the owners rules and wishes. I want to keep to their training and routines. I don't want the owner coming home to a doggy with bad habits or upset tummy. I want to keep the same diet and structure. I'm a professional, certified teacher and past hospital worker. Absolutely love to love on doggies. I have over 50 five-star reviews on airbnb and lots of other references and letters of reference I can provide you.
“We were very nervous using Rover, but Erica put our mind at ease. She took great care of our house and two dogs. We got pictures of everything and she was great about coming before hand so I could meet her.”

“I recently hired a Elexa to take care of my boxer, Coco, while I was away, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. Elexa was professional, reliable, and most importantly, took excellent care of my dog. I was impressed with the level of attention and care that was given to Coco, and I felt confident that my dog was in good hands. Elexa went above and beyond to make sure that my dog was comfortable and happy, and I appreciated the regular updates and photos that were sent to me while I was away. I would highly recommend Elexa to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”
About: I’ve lived on a farm my whole life. We mainly have Angora goats, chickens, ducks, and guardian dogs. However, we’ve also had the occasional sheep, dairy goat, guinea hen and even a llama. In the house we have a Vizsla, four cats, and salt water fish. In the past I have also had a gecko and a hedgehog. I am available from 11am to 2pm and after 5pm. My weekend availability varies as I have tournaments most weekends, but I am usually available all day on Sundays. I also am available full time during holiday breaks. I do not offer care at my house because I don’t want to risk any problems with my pets, but I am happy to come to your house or take your pets for walks!
“An amazing sitter who not only took wonderful care of our pups, but also left our home better than we left it! Anna Lee is a true dog whisperer - able to entertain our Golden and wrangle our "talkative" Malamute. We are very much looking forward to her next stay!”

“Tierra was amazing. Very kind and exceptional communication. She is very well-versed in animal care and was so good to our pups. She left the house nice and tidy and kept us updated while we were gone. Will absolutely book with her again.”
About: Hello! My name is Patricia and I have been caring for pets for over twenty years. I had my own pup for 10 blissful years and he was my world, therefore I passionately understand the importance of proper care for the four-legged members of your family. Having no children or pets of my own allows me to focus 100% of my time on your pets, curating customized experiences, based on their individual needs. I am professional, reliable and have additional references to provide, if desired! I am a very active individual, usually covering 15 miles per day. I am centrally located in Spokane, and am willing to travel to you! I would be honored to give your pets a safe, fun and dependable experience while they are in my care. 100% available to craft a schedule that works best for each pet of yours in my care. Currently, this is my full-time job and I love it! Our home and yard are very pet-friendly. We have a six foot tall fence, completely enclosed to provide room to play, roam, relax while at the house.
About: I worked in dog grooming for a decade, and I do miss the dogs, often. I will be happy to help regardless of breed or size. I have open availability in my schedule. I work with many different service partners, and can easily adjust my schedule, with proper notice, of course. Dogs will be played with, of course! I will run them, depending on age and whether they like that. Feed them, walk them. Cats will get nozzles and pets
About: I carry a business insurance policy for petcare. My first job was a at a doggy daycare/ boarding facility but I have been pet sitting since I was 12. I’ve worked with puppies all the way through seniors receiving cancer treatment. I have a playful golden retriever who adores all animals big and small. I have experience bathing and giving insulin to cats too. I volunteered at a rescue ranch for a number of years and have experience with livestock. I personally have ducks, chickens, reptiles and a senior cat as companions for my golden. I am currently working 3 days a week for a tax office and am unavailable from January to April. On my off days I hike and take my golden to the river. I have a contract that I have been using since 2010 that outlines my safety procedures. When I am in a clients home I always have them review it and do a walk around of the home with them. From my years at doggy daycare I am pretty familiar with certain breed characteristics like the awesome heights husky’s can jump or the tunneling ability of a weenie. I also am very understanding about separation anxiety as someone who has worked at rescues. For walks I require a harness or collar the dog cannot slip out of. I require an in person meeting beforehand, if doggy play dates with my dog are requested we must meet on neutral ground first to see how they interact.
“Wini was absolutely amazing! She took such wonderful care of our girl while we were away and gave us so much peace of mind. She was incredibly communicative and sent daily updates, which we truly appreciated. Wini genuinely cares about the pets she watches. Our girl was happy, loved, and so well cared for. We are beyond grateful and would absolutely recommend Wini to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Conkling Park
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 299 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Conkling Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Conkling Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Conkling Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Conkling Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Conkling Park. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
