“Yvette took good care of our two pugs in our home. We have one young one and a 4-year-old that we adopted that came with some special needs. We feel they were looked after with tenderness and attentiveness, following our "to do" list we left for caring for our dogs. We came home and everything was pretty much just as we left it. We have no problem recommending her and would definitely like to have her care for our furbabies and our home again in the future. Thanks so much Yvette!!”

“I had a wonderful experience with Elizabeth as my dog sitter. She was always on time, communicated clearly, and attentive to both my dogs individual needs. It gave my peace of mind knowing they were in such caring hands. She was also very flexible when my work schedule changed at the last minute, I really appreciate that. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her.”

“Stayed overnight with our 3 dogs. She was very flexible with our house and living situation being under construction. Provided cuddles and care to the dogs. Very thankful to have the house and pets taken care of while we were away. Thank you!”

“Dakota was great and made sure our animals were well-taken care of. I highly recommend Dakota for many reasons, but he was an excellent communicator and followed-up whenever it was needed.”
“Sara did an excellent job caring for our dog and cats. She kept us updated throughout the stay, sent plenty of photos, and really helped put our minds at ease knowing they were in good hands. She kept them engaged with activities and lots of mental stimulation, and it was clear they were comfortable and well cared for. We would absolutely book with her again.”

About: My name is Charizma Williams. I’ve pet-sitted for my sister’s friend and with my best friend on and off for 3 years. I grew up helping take care of farm animals, cats, and dogs. I love taking care of animals. I’ll treat them like my very own. Your fur babies will be in good hands. I’ll make sure to send you lots of updates on how they’re doing!! I’m unemployed looking for my first job, so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies, play with them and meet all of their needs. I make sure to take care of them with lots of love, gentleness, and kindness. If needed, I can crate them, and if they have any specific requirements, I’ll make sure those are met.
About: I grew up in a house with animals for as long as I can remember, from dogs, cats, to snails. I have experience with all kinds of breeds, from working hunting dogs to the most suborn bassets. Am always looking for a new (furry) friend to keep me active. Currently working part time, with very adjustable schedule. Very happy to stop by at all hours, rain or shine. Always happy for the excuse to leave the house and get active. Respectfull of all boundaries, pet and human alike. Always willing to bring my own treats, and spoil your animals in whatever way you seem fit.
“Marcie did a great job with our dogs, and we're relieved to found someone so reliable. She dog sat at our house and was very communicative. She left the house cleaner than we left it, sent photos and videos, and left a note with info about her schedule/routine. We are definitely going to book with her in the future!”

“Harley did a great job for us and we would definitely book again with her. She was especially attentive to our dog as we asked and the house was in perfect condition upon our return.”

“Shelly was exceptional! She is kind, and has a tender heart toward animals. She works very hard at making sure she does everything correctly. I know Buddy had a great time with her because after we returned he was sitting outside waiting for her to come back. She left the house in excellent condition. We will definitely use her again.”

“Diana took care of our quirky catahoula dog like he was her own! He had so much fun with her and was just as we left him on return. She also took great care of our house. She sent lovely fun pictures of them playing and hanging out! We appreciated the updates and the prompt communication. Pets (and humans!) would be lucky to have her care for them while away. Highly recommend!”

“Emma was easy-going and handled taking care of our two energetic pups and 1 cat very well. She communicated any issues right away and asked us questions when she was unsure of something. We would recommend Emma for short or long term care of your fur babies!”
“Ricky was absolutely everything I could ask for from a pet sitter. He stayed at my house for 18 days while I was overseas, and gave me 100% confidence my animals were being well cared for. He's calm and friendly with them, took them for more walks than I do, sent pictures and updates. He's thorough and professional and an all round nice guy. I'll definitely be having him back!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals for years for my family and friends and even been recommended to other families as well as a regular. I have two cats and a dog at home and have always came home to a zoo. I’m very detailed and clean when it comes to pet sitting, I’ll keep up with all requirements needed for pet care. I just love animals and would love the opportunity to care for yours as well! I am available during the week, I’ll respond starting at 9am based on my routine and I’m up the latest being 10pm. If needed to come early or stay late, I genuinely do not mind! If you need me to come a certain day, let me know a couple days in advance! I’ve moved around a bit and taken care of animals in different environments. For my own dogs now and in the past I usually walk them on a leash outside 3 times a day. I mean I have also had clients ask me to let them outside in their yard and go to the bathroom. For my cats at home I clean the litter every morning and feed them twice a day usually. It just depends, and I understand everyone takes care of their pet in their own way so I can go based on the routine you give them!
“Alec was amazing! He was great at communicating and sending pictures of our two dogs. He made sure they were fed, taken out routinely and loved on. He also left our house cleaner than we left it! I would highly recommend Alec to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

About: I guarantee to treat every animal with the same love and care as my own. And beyond that, the same love and care as my children. I am self employed and can make time for any animal any day through my open schedule. I make my own schedule day by day. I have a fenced yard with one small very sweet loving dog. She has gotten along well with any animal she has encountered. I trained her myself.
“Gunnar is wonderful -- he totally won our dog over, he's conscientious and quick to respond to messages, and is a really nice person! He's a great dog and cat sitter we'd highly recommend!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Moxee walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Moxee maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Moxee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Moxee. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
