“I was nervous about someone we just met staying in my home with my dogs while we were away. Also, I have three pitties who come with a LOT of energy. Chris did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable at the two meet and greets, as well as this past weekend while we were in Tennessee. She was communicative and very helpful. She left the house cleaner than when she arrived. It’s safe to say that, given how it has gone so far, we are much more confident going to France for almost two weeks in a few days here. We’re confident Chris will take care of our home and pups. Got ourselves a dog sitter.”

“Lyn was timely, kind, and did a great job taking care of our home and our three animals. I would book her again in a heartbeat. Our fur babies loved her and our high anxiety dog was glued to her side the whole time. He felt so comfortable with her.”

“Susan was amazing! This was the first time leaving our dogs with someone so we were of course nervous but she was great with them. She sent daily updates and pictures and communicated well with us. She kept the house clean and even did some things that weren’t expected from her like washing the sheets on the bed! The dogs were both happy and well taken care of when we returned. I would definitely recommend Susan!”

“Brenda was excellent with my Sam. Couldn’t have found a more wonderful person. She took the best care of Sam anyone could have ask for . If you are looking for a sitter Brenda is the best.”

“Our regular dog/house sitter cancelled on us with three weeks notice. A sitter I had booked months in advance. Trying to find a new sitter is very stressful as you want your pets to have the best possible care in your absence. Having selected a few from the Rover site. Juliann responded to our initial request. We are so happy that she did. Juliann requested a meet and great to see if our dogs where a good fit for her. Upon meeting Juliann we were completely confident in her ability to provide excellent care for ours dogs and our home in our absence. Juliann is by far the best dog/house sitter we have ever had. She arrived on time and and sent us updates and photos daily. Our dogs wanted for nothing. Juliann went way above and beyond. Our dogs loved their time with her. Our home was spotless when we arrived back from our trip. Juliann even went as far as to wash all the bed linens and remake the bed in our bedroom. We can’t say enough about quality of care she provided. We where extremely lucky to have found Juliann on the Rover site and you will be too! She is simply the best.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats my whole life, with most of my experience in small and medium dogs, cats, and senior pets. I love the unconditional love animals give and show that same care by keeping their routine consistent and their needs fully met. To help pets feel more comfortable with me in their own homes, I take time to make them feel safe by interacting with them and letting them warm up to me (at an in-home meet-and-greet beforehand). I’m experienced with giving medications, following special diets, and handling pets with unique needs. Owners can count on me being highly communicative - sending updates as much (or as little) as you prefer. I’m a full time in-home physical therapist and bring empathy and attentiveness to my patients on a daily basis. I bring this same level of care and dedication to my petsitting. You can trust me to treat your pets with the same love and respect you do. I currently work 4 - 10 hour days but can stay over and spend as much time as possible with your pet(s). I do work M-W and F but can be there all day Thursday and weekends. I will come to your house. Walk, feed, love on your pets. I can collect mail, take out trash and leave your place how I found it.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child. I grew up with dogs and have had my own dogs as well! I currently have a senior dog and an adult dog. I have experience giving medicine and injections. I also have worked with many dog trainers, which has given me great insight on how to work with all dogs of different behaviors and personalities! I work full time from home with a flexibly job, so I am able to easily get take pets out for potty breaks and walks. If the dog I am sitting is at my house and gets along well with other dogs, we will do group walks with my dogs! If not, we will do solo walks. We also have a fully fenced in back yard. I have a fully fenced backyard and baby gates to separate the upstairs and downstairs of my home. My two dogs are used to having other dogs around, but can easily be separated to different parts of the home if needed. I can also easily work with a crate if you are crate training your dog / they are already crate trained.

Mountain Home pet parents share their Rover experiences
Leo is a fantastic dogsitter. He is a warm and grounded person who clearly loves dogs! We left for an extended vacation of over two weeks and needed an exceptional caregiver. We felt lucky to find Leo. He clearly connected with our 6 month old Kangal who is a wonderful dog - full of energy and very independent minded who needs someone loving and caring like Leo. Leo is attentive to detail, very responsive and professional in all his interactions. He left the house immaculate. We look forward to working with him again!!

We had a truly wonderful experience with Rover and our sitter, Summer. She provided thoughtful, thorough updates, shared frequent photos, and cared for our pets as if they were her own. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We’re already looking forward to having Summer visit again soon and are so grateful for the care and attention she gave our furry family members!

Maddy responded positively to our last minute booking request and arrived quickly for a meet and greet. I'm not sure if she arrived for sitting when we requested as the first message was sent with a photo 35 minutes after that time. She also had an event to attend which she told us about ahead of time, which was fine, but the schedule changed around. She also asked what time we would be home so she knew if she needed to come back after church. The booking was until 5:00 PM on Sunday. She did not message on status when she left. Bottom line, I knew she was there and the pets were taken care of, but I'm not sure *when* she was there. As a first time booking with her, I expected clearer communication on arrivals, departures and pet feedings, especially since meds were involved. My fault for not expressing those expectations.
