Scott arrived on time and my dogs were comfortable with him. He was attentive to them outside when dropping by to let them out and playing with them. Would definitely use his services again.

About: I've been a dog person my whole life — there's never been a time I didn't have one by my side. Since I was 15, I've been training Cane Corsos, which has given me a deep understanding of large, powerful breeds and the patience, consistency, and confidence it takes to work with them well. That experience has carried over into a love for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments — from tiny lap dogs to high-energy working breeds. Whether your dog is a laid-back couch companion or needs an experienced handler who understands structure and exercise, I've got the background to make sure they're safe, comfortable, and well cared for. As a contractor, my schedule gives me a big advantage when it comes to dog sitting — I'm usually home all day, every day, and typically only work about once a week. That means your dog won't be left alone for long stretches; they'll have consistent company, attention, and bathroom breaks throughout the day. Whether it's a midday walk, playtime in the yard, or just having someone around for comfort, your pup will rarely be without a friendly face nearby. I've been a dog person my whole life — there's never been a time I didn't have one by my side. About: I have taken care or animals for the past 8 years. I have been utilized by my friends and family to feed, watch, play, and work on training. I work at a wildlife refuge in the mornings then I can dedicate all of my time after that commitment to taking care of your pets. My refuge time can become flexible but that will have to be discussed prior if it is necessary. Safety, trust, and the well-being of pets are my top priorities. When pet sitting or dog walking, I follow each pet owner's instructions carefully, maintain a secure environment, provide fresh water, exercise, and attention, and monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress. I treat every pet with patience and care, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while in my care.

About: I’ve been around dogs and animals in general since a young age, with my grandpa running a small farm. I’ve grown up around breeds like German Shepherds, and have always taken care of friends’ dogs while they were in vacation. I learned a lot from my fiancé, who ran a successful dog walking business in New York City Give yourself peace of mind, your dog is in safe, loving, caring hands. I’m currently working from home with a special schedule which I take advantage of as it frees up a lot of time during the day. Pet care fits into it quite easily, as I have a daily routine I follow which includes dog walks, time with the dogs outside and of course feedings (and tending medicine when needed). I have a home situated on a quiet, secluded private lot that backs up onto a river with several trails within a short walking distance. The yard is secluded, well shaded and has ample space. I take care to be active with the dogs, so I usually toss frisbees or play fetch several times a day to keep them content. I walk my dogs twice around the neighborhood. Besides home, I have a number of dog-friendly trails and parks both in East Stroudsburg and nearby where I bring the dogs for some quality time outside. This includes hiking on trails and in the mountains, bringing the dogs to rivers or lakes, I mix it up each week depending on the weather conditions. Any time I go on an outdoor adventure, I make sure I have the owner’s consent. Their dogs will always be hydrated and have a snack. I only ask that if your dog has specific dietary needs or is taking medication, that you provide me with the necessary information and schedule. I have two modes of transport for dogs, both of which offer plenty of space, safety and comfort for the dogs while en route.

About: I’ve always had pets as a kid, and the same as an adult! It’s a privilege to be able to care for my own “babies” and others ❤️ I have two cats and a dog, so my days are quite pet-oriented. The cats need a little less care than my dog, but they all get loved equally 🥰 I treat my animals extremely well, and other pets I treat like my own! All animals are important to love and care for, big or small 😇

About: I've had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them and loving them has always come naturally. From daily walks to administering medication and comforting anxious dogs, I’ve done it all with patience and love. Over the years, I’ve also pet-sat for friends and neighbors, often staying overnight to make sure their dogs felt safe and well cared for in their own homes. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I treat every dog like my own. I am currently home for the summer on break from college. I am taking summer classes Monday-Thursday in the morning, but am free late morning and all afternoon. I am typically available all day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping the pet's routine consistent and stress free. I follow all feeding schedules, walk times, and medication instructions as requested. I LOVE to have plenty of playtime and give lots of attention and affection, while making sure the home stays clean and secure. I can also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I treat your space and your pet with plenty of respect and care.

Sam was absolutely amazing with my dog, Ace! She came to my home for daily dog-sitting visits while I was away, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and attention she gave him. Ace can be a little reserved with new people, but he took to Sam right away—which says a lot. She made sure he was well cared for, got plenty of love and attention, and stayed on his routine. The updates and photos she sent were so reassuring and showed just how happy and relaxed he was in her care. It’s such a relief to know that Ace was safe, content, and in his own environment with someone I completely trust. I came home to a happy dog —what more could I ask for? I highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional dog sitter. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Ashley is a wonderful pet sitter; both dependable and trustworthy. You can tell she loves animals, spending time during visits not just feeding them, but actually giving the pets love and attention. During my time away, she kept me up to date on the cats' status and sent a lot of photos of the cats being cared for.

The ladies were incredibly patient with my dramatic dog. He was refusing to come down stairs and the ladies took the time to talk to him and give him treats until he was comfortable. He then forgot about being a brat after that.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Mount Bethel

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,856 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Mount Bethel. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Mount Bethel stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mount Bethel. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
