“This entire experience has been amazing Jamie is truly a dog whisperer! My babies are in great hands with her and I can see from the photos that their routine is being maintained in a way they really makes them content and happy.”

“This was my first time using rover and a dog walker and I’m so glad I decided to give it a try! My pups loved Scott from their initial meet and greet, which was a shocker since they usually give new people in the house a hard time. Scott was on time, sent me photos and updates on their behavior through the website and my pups seemed so happy! I am so thrilled we connected with Scott and I hope he’ll be available if I need help again in the future!”

As a special needs dog mom, I understand the importance of quality care and would provide nothing but the best for your pet! I am a stay at home mom so my availability is fairly flexible for me to have plenty of time to spend with your pet! I don't have a fenced in yard but have a lot of property to walk and explore giving plenty of exercise! I can also travel to your home and spend time with your pet in the comfort of their own home. Walks, play time and cuddles for your pet whenever you need!
“We had a wedding at the Stroudsmoor with our dogs in the wedding and we asked Autumn to watch after the dogs during the wedding ceremony and photos before and after the ceremony. She did an excellent job handling our two fur babies and doing all the was necessary to make our dogs part of our big day. If you need any dog services I highly recommend Autumn!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and animals in general since a young age, with my grandpa running a small farm. I’ve grown up around breeds like German Shepherds, and have always taken care of friends’ dogs while they were in vacation. I learned a lot from my fiancé, who ran a successful dog walking business in New York City Give yourself peace of mind, your dog is in safe, loving, caring hands. I’m currently working from home with a special schedule which I take advantage of as it frees up a lot of time during the day. Pet care fits into it quite easily, as I have a daily routine I follow which includes dog walks, time with the dogs outside and of course feedings (and tending medicine when needed). I have a home situated on a quiet, secluded private lot that backs up onto a river with several trails within a short walking distance. The yard is secluded, well shaded and has ample space. I take care to be active with the dogs, so I usually toss frisbees or play fetch several times a day to keep them content. I walk my dogs twice around the neighborhood. Besides home, I have a number of dog-friendly trails and parks both in East Stroudsburg and nearby where I bring the dogs for some quality time outside. This includes hiking on trails and in the mountains, bringing the dogs to rivers or lakes, I mix it up each week depending on the weather conditions. Any time I go on an outdoor adventure, I make sure I have the owner’s consent. Their dogs will always be hydrated and have a snack. I only ask that if your dog has specific dietary needs or is taking medication, that you provide me with the necessary information and schedule. I have two modes of transport for dogs, both of which offer plenty of space, safety and comfort for the dogs while en route.
“This was my first time away from my cats for so long and Gretchen was very attentive to us and our cats, she took care of them as if they were her own and that gave us peace of mind during our trip. I'm grateful for all the help she gave us.”

About: I have taken care or animals for the past 8 years. I have been utilized by my friends and family to feed, watch, play, and work on training. I work at a wildlife refuge in the mornings then I can dedicate all of my time after that commitment to taking care of your pets. My refuge time can become flexible but that will have to be discussed prior if it is necessary. Safety, trust, and the well-being of pets are my top priorities. When pet sitting or dog walking, I follow each pet owner's instructions carefully, maintain a secure environment, provide fresh water, exercise, and attention, and monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress. I treat every pet with patience and care, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while in my care.
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs of all ages, including my own. From puppy stage to senior. I’ve been trusted by friends and family to care for their dogs including walks, play time, and any special needs they may have. I work taking care of your pet into my schedule, early mornings or late nights are no issue. I set aside as much time as needed for play, walks etc. I have a very large back yard in a low traffic neighborhood. I have two dogs of my own that are very well behaved and love to play!
“Thalia accepted my reservation right before we had to leave for a trip and my cat needed medication to be given 2x a day. Thalia took care of it no problem, sent me photos where I could see how the eye was looking and made me feel at ease. My cat was so happy, healthy and well cared for. I will definitely be rebooking. Highly recommend”

“Jennifer was excellent. Prompt, attentive, and went above and beyond to care for my cats while I was away. She gave detailed information and sent me pics, which was awesome! Even though the cats were hiding!”

About: I had an adult dog for 6 years who unfortunately passed a couple years ago. When he became a senior, it was like I had a whole new dog that I had to learn more about to take care of. He was my best friend, and I miss him a lot. Now that I'm in college, I can't have any pets, but I would love to take care of yours and give you peace of mind knowing that your pet is in loving hands while you're away. I’m home from college this summer and I can visit your fur baby whenever you need me to, for walks, feeding, play time, etc! In your home, I will follow all directions you provide and be sure to take care of your pet the way that you want them taken care of. I'll treat them like my own and make sure they're safe and happy.
About: A caring and compassionate animal caretaker, familiar with puppy training as well as senior animals, but I specialize in the care of special needs animals. Currently I have about 50 families whose animals I care for periodically… and I love every second of it! I do overnight boarding and day care in my home plus drop-in care in yours. Your pet will get high quality care as if they were my own. I do not kennel animals unless asked to, all pets roam freely unless discussed. They get to treat my home like their home! With an extensive background in dogs, my childhood was spent around my family who trained working German Shepherds who went on to the Military and Police force. We were on a farm and always had at least 10 dogs at home growing up and even more barn cats. I’m comfortable with all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats and am familiar with animal behaviors and safety. I’ve worked for shelters and have rescued and fostered many fur babies over the years. Rest assured, booking with me your pet will be in the best care possible! I am a stay at home mom so I have all day free for pet sitting and am very flexible! Whenever you need me, I can definitely make myself available! I have a fenced in yard with a friendly young golden retriever and tabby cat who are all pet friendly. My house is baby proofed, puppy proofed and very safe for all fur babies! I always use a leash and practice safe pet care at all times. I’ll treat your fur baby as if it was my own with the best possible treatment and love.
“Sam was absolutely amazing with my dog, Ace! She came to my home for daily dog-sitting visits while I was away, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care and attention she gave him. Ace can be a little reserved with new people, but he took to Sam right away—which says a lot. She made sure he was well cared for, got plenty of love and attention, and stayed on his routine. The updates and photos she sent were so reassuring and showed just how happy and relaxed he was in her care. It’s such a relief to know that Ace was safe, content, and in his own environment with someone I completely trust. I came home to a happy dog —what more could I ask for? I highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional dog sitter. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats since I was born. I love how no two pets are the same. I treat every pet like they’re my own fur babies. “Ashley is a wonderful pet sitter; both dependable and trustworthy. You can tell she loves animals, spending time during visits not just feeding them, but actually giving the pets love and attention. During my time away, she kept me up to date on the cats' status and sent a lot of photos of the cats being cared for.”

“Jenna communicates so well! Inga is a rescue who had a rough 2 years as a pup. It has taken Inga 14 years of TLC from us to get to where she is - lovable and sweet. Jenna is experienced and knows how to approach Inga and win her over her affection. Kudos to Jenna❣️”
“Amy is wonderful! She is kind, understanding and accommodating. This was my first time using the app so I was a little nervous but Amy def made the experience easier! I would def recommend her!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 834 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Mount Bethel. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mount Bethel. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
