Tim was an amazing dog sitter! He was perfectly prompt even though his booking right before ours ran long. I could tell our dog Bo took to him right away and I felt 100% comfortable heading off on our long wedding day / night. Tim sent photos of Bo snd let me know what activities they were out enjoying. Bo indeed had an excellent adventure!

This was the first time for Alena to take care of Booker and everything went very well. We initially had Alena over for a meet and greet and upon her return a few days later Booker was very happy to see her. Alena even took Booker for a walk which he always enjoys. Alena followed our instructions and communicated when we inquired. We are just visiting Lake Tahoe for the summer and needed a sitter for our 100lb Bernese Mountain dog and Alena did a fantastic job. Looking forward to using her when needed.

My animals and I love Denise! She is the best at taking care of our seven animals and salt water tank. We have a 17 yr old senior dog who is high maintenance, she is very attentive to his needs. She also medicated one of my cats. I love that she is willing just to hang out and snuggle🩷 She always updates and sends photos I’m thankful for that. I trust her completely in my house. If your like me and your animals are your babies and you’re looking for a house/petsitter please call Denise you won’t be disappointed!

This was our first time having Katelyn house sit with our Irish Setter Marmie and we are so glad we found her! Katelyn was a pleasure to communicate with and she sent us lots of updates while we were away and we could see how much Marmie loved her. We will definitely be booking with Katelyn for all our future needs!

Patrick and his wife cared for my dog while we were away for a week. They did an amazing job keeping us in the loop with daily updates and pictures. I have never felt so comfortable and at ease while being away from my baby. They were super respectable to any instructions we left as well as our home in general.

We have had Dyisha look after our 3 dogs and our house multiple times and she is an incredibly thoughtful, respectful and professional sitter. It makes such a big difference when you can leave for a few weeks and know everything will be so well looked after and our dogs will get all the love, attention and cuddles that they demand (and boy do they demand it!). We are so glad to have found Dyisha!

Gabriel was absolutely incredible. We’ve had bad luck in the past when it comes to leaving our two fur babies for vacation, work or otherwise. Gabriel was so accommodating and communicative, it really helped our separation anxiety. Our puppies absolutely love him and all the walks and cuddles he provides. We can’t thank him enough for allowing us to break away for a while.

About: I will love and take care of your precious fur babies while you are away. I have been spoiling my own fur babies for over 30 years, and know how important it is to know your pet is safe and loved while you are away. I offer personal attention, feeding, walks, play time, and quiet cuddle time. I currently own a medium size Border Collie that is extremely friendly with both dogs and cats. Any pets that I board must be able to get along with my pet. Can do individual walks if your pet is not socialized to be with other dogs. For Kitties, they are welcome in my home, or I can come to your home and feed, clean up, and spend some human time with them.

About: My dog‘s name was Kahlúa. She is 15 year old.I know the first hand experience when it comes to pets, especially senior dogs. My dog went blind with hip mobility and a mild dementia. I made sure to guide her every morning outside for walks and potty. Make sure she was taking her medication and giving her the love that she needed. I would show the same love and kindness and respect to your pets like I did to mine.🫶🏻 I am pretty flexible when it comes to my scheduling. I do live with 2 dogs 3 cats. the home owner is a doctor. Works 10-12Hr shifts 3-4Days a week. I make sure that all the animals are fed. The dogs are taken out to walks while the homeowner is gone. The house live in. The homeowner is a Doctor & Works 10-12Hr shifts 3-4Days a week. but there are times where the Doctor leaves to Convention/Work and I’m left at the house for a week making sure the property and the animals are all taken care of.

With respect, love, attention and last but not least provide them with company. Thank you. About: As lifelong dog owners ourselves, we understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. We have experience volunteering at the humane society, and have spent the last few years pet sitting dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs. Whether they need long walks, playtime, or just some cuddles on the couch, our goal is to stick to your dog's normal routine and treat them like one of our own. Dan and I both work in the restaurant industry, which gives us a flexible schedule. We work 3–4 days a week and often work opposite shifts, so one of us is usually home or available throughout the day. If we do work the same day, our shifts are in the evening, so we still have the entire morning and afternoon to spend with your pet. We make it a priority to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and love so your pet feels comfortable with us. We want every pet to feel at home while in our care. We have a fenced-in backyard and live just minutes from the marsh and beach, which gives us plenty of opportunities for walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime. If your dog prefers to be the only pet or does not do well with other dogs, we are happy to provide care in your home instead. We understand that every owner has their own routines and expectations, and we will always respect your instructions and your pet’s needs. At our home, dogs are welcome on the couch, are surrounded by toys, and can hang out in backyard to sunbathe and roam free. Whether your pet is staying with us or we are caring for them in their own home, our goal is to create a safe, trusting, and stress-free environment for both owner and doggo.

FAQs for House Sitting - Mottsville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 472 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mottsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mottsville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mottsville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mottsville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mottsville. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
