“Riley was super reliable and communicative, and took great care of my cat for a couple of weeks while I was out of town! She provided clear and detailed updates after each visit, including a bunch of pictures. I definitely recommend her!”

“Per usual the care takers are caring to my boy. Esteban has been here twice now and he and Russell have become buddies. When I couldn’t make it home, he came an extra visit. Bless his heart for helping Russell and I. The pictures taken of the boy were great. Showed me that all was going well.”

About: I’ve grown up with pets since i was born. I’m the person my family members go to when they are looking for someone to take care of their pets if they are going on a vacation or something came up. I have experience with other pets that aren’t familiar with me as well since i worked at a veterinary clinic before and was the kennel assistant I have experience giving animals medication (even the ones that do not like taking it). I also have trained my dog she knows over 10 tricks along with trianing my grandmas dogs the basic tricks like sit, stay and shake (or paw). I just moved from spokane so looking for some new connections. I love animals and would be available any time of the day to take care of them for you! My cats at home get well taken care of they are very spoiled getting treats and wet food every morning. My cats are very affectionate which proves to show how much I love them.
About: I have pet care and animal handling experience from my degree in Animal Science, owning pets myself over the years (dogs, cats, fish, bearded dragon), and volunteering at animal shelters over the years. I am willing to take care of most pets with proper discussion prior. I currently work part time and my schedule fluctuates, that being said I still have a lot of free time to work with to provide services. I respect everyone's home as if it's my own and care for their animals as if they're my own. I am willing to do home visits, walks at certain parks, etc.
About: I taken care of dogs most of my life. Friends and family also have relied on me to take care of their pets while they vacation. I check-in, play, walk and feed them. Some with medical needs and special diets I'm currently working full-time from 8:30 am to 4pm M-F. So I can do early morning, after 4 pm and weekends. I work for the school district so I can do any time usually mid June to August. I have 3 dogs of my own, so I would prefer to take care of your pets at your home, I find that is less stressful for your pets
About: Hello! I have been watching people's loves for about 8 years now. I have experience watching hunting, senior and working dog breeds. I have experience with escape artists who need constant monitoring while outside. I will follow your house rules, whether that be crating at night or no dogs in the kitchen. I love big dogs and have had many growing up. I am currently going to school at Big Bend and should have plenty of time for your pets! Midday is my busiest, but all other time should be able to be devoted to being with your pets. I am completely available on friday-sunday. I will follow your rules to a T. If I need to crate your pets at night or make sure they go potty as soon I get home, it will be done. I am more than willing to take them on walks and ensure they're getting proper play time. I will never hit your pet, ever. I understand accidents happen with stress and new people and fear is not something I want to include with that. I am stern though and will make sure your dog follows rules. I do not feed pets scraps, or anything not supplied by the owner. As a pet parent of a dog with food allergies I know the importance of that. If you are the kind of pet parent that worries and wants constant updates I am your girl. Odds are I have already taken a ton of goofy pictures of your pet. Please reach out if you have any questions regarding my care and behavior.

I have experience with senior animals, And any accommodations that are needed for them (medicine, help getting on bed / couch, help getting outside on time, etc.) I have experience with reactive dogs, Particularly dog reactive dogs, Or animal reactive dogs. I am good with keeping dog reactive, dogs, calm, and distracted while passing another dog on walks Or avoiding the Situation entirely. I am currently unemployed, So I have all the time in the world to give every pet attention! More Walk and playtime for Your pets! I care for pets in my home just as I would a human. Jeremy did a fantastic job taking care of our cats while we were out of town. He did exactly what we asked him to do and sent photos of my cats with each visit. I would highly recommend Jeremy if you want to enjoy your time away knowing that your pets are in great hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
