“Very accommodating and easy going. The pets did great and I will absolutely be using his services again! Such a relief to have someone you can trust to watch over your pets!! 10/10 😊”

About: I've been around animals all my life and have had such a passion to work with them that I became a wildlife biologist. I started out as a zookeeper and have built my career from there. From Colt starting to alligator wrangling, I've worked with just about every type of animal you can think of. Cats and dogs have been with me every step of the way. I've cared for day old kittens to senior dogs and cats. Even a few special case horses who just needed someone to love them. I work full time during the week but my flexibility varies with the seasons and I work from home 2 days a week. I keep my calendar up to date since I know my schedule varies a lot. I have a fenced in backyard for your puppers to run around in. When I take dogs out for walks, I keep them on a leash just to be safe. On days when I work at the office, I go home for lunch. I have a very sweet cat who thinks she's a dog and will keep your fur baby company. I have multiple rooms to separate animals as needed if one needs a quiet space. I also have to horses on 5 acres behind the house. Fences and a paddock separate them from the house so they can't come up to the backyard.
About: I currently work as a Home Health Aide and have been slowly working on getting my degree in nursing. . I have two boys ages 15&17. I moved to Grant County 6 years ago, and I have had animals my entire and you could definitely say I’m an avid dog lover. I grew up with German Shepherds, and currently have 2 Black Labs. I can stop by for a quick walk, or check-in or I can do overnights. I am a very active person and love walking, hiking and exploring so depending on owner approval I am more then willing to take your pet out and exercise them! I will make it my priority to keep your dog happy and safe while they are with me, and I am sure they will bring some more joy to my life! I currently work full time, but can fit caring for your animals around my schedule! I can work at being as flexible as you need me to be! Animals are well-cared for when in my care as well as provided love! I am very respectful of people’s homes as I’m in and out of other peoples homes on a daily basis with my full time job!
“Sam watched our senior mini Aussie at our home for about 6 hours while I was away for a doctor appt. She has separation anxiety and doesn't do well at doggy day cares and the like. Sam's calm demeanor helped in Bella staying calm. Throughout the time he was here he sent pics and text on how Bella was doing. He fed her and took her out for potty breaks, Sam did an excellent job! Highly recommend Sam for taking care of your pups!”

“Hailey was wonderful with our cats! She took great care of them, sent lots of pictures and videos, and made sure they got plenty of playtime and attention. She was also incredibly accommodating when our travel plans changed and we needed to extend the booking. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and really appreciated her reliability and kindness. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up with pets since i was born. I’m the person my family members go to when they are looking for someone to take care of their pets if they are going on a vacation or something came up. I have experience with other pets that aren’t familiar with me as well since i worked at a veterinary clinic before and was the kennel assistant I have experience giving animals medication (even the ones that do not like taking it). I also have trained my dog she knows over 10 tricks along with trianing my grandmas dogs the basic tricks like sit, stay and shake (or paw). I just moved from spokane so looking for some new connections. I love animals and would be available any time of the day to take care of them for you! My cats at home get well taken care of they are very spoiled getting treats and wet food every morning. My cats are very affectionate which proves to show how much I love them.
“Alana was a wonderful guest in our house! She took such good care of our pups and we knew for sure they loved their time with her, they weren’t that excited to see us when we got home. She left the house tidy and clean, which honestly is cleaner than we left it! She also set our minds at ease with updates and photos which helped with our first time using Rover. We highly recommend Alana! Her and legend are perfect caretakers for our special members of our family.”

Im currently available most of the time, if needed and I would love to spend some more time with dogs, my sister has a dog that lives with us and I just love fury friends I feed, walk and play with pets of all sorts to give them a loving environment while their person is away. Can’t wait to meet some furry friends
“This was my first time using Rover. When I met Shelly, I knew I had made the right choice. My dogs are kind of wary to new people, but when Shelly came and interacted with Pork Chop and Pearl they were so excited. I knew then she was the perfect fit! I really appreciated her updates after each visit they helped me feel comfortable knowing that I had made the right choice for Pork Chop and Pearl. I would definitely recommend Shelly to anyone needing a sitter for their fur babies. She has a warm and friendly presence. I will most certainly use her again the next time I am planning a vacation.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Moses Lake walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Moses Lake maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Moses Lake choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
