About: I do not have any special skills. I am just an animal lover. I own an 8 year old lab mix named Sweetie. She has been a part of our family since she was around 8 weeks old. When caring for your beloved pets, I will always treat them like my own, with love, patience, and kindness. I currently am a teacher. I can do drop-ins during the week and weekends, in-home sitting, and boarding on the weekends I do not have a fenced in back yard, so your dogs will be taken out on a leash if boarded here. I am new to pet sitting, so this part will be updated as I sit more. My dog is currently 8 years old. She sees the vet once per year unless more visits are necessary. I take her outside for regular exercise. I believe that dogs should be taken out on leashes for safety.
About: I have owned and cared for many pets over the years but I've never have I ever gone a day in my life without a dog at my side. In high school, I received an animal psychology certificate From Halloy and Hugo where I studied the behavior and mentality of dogs and cats. They even had a section on rabbits. My family currently has 3 dogs (Winston, Buddy, and Toby), a leopard gecko (Randel), and a tortoise (Artemis). I am currently going to college in Spartanburg, SC while taking care of Artemis and Toby, who had recently hurt his back, in my apartment. I love going to new places, meeting new people, and new animals. I love caring for dogs of all sizes and I can't wait to meet new friends.
“Kristen took good care of my cat over the holiday - making sure her food, water and litter were fresh and even spending some play time with her. I will definitely use her next time I have to leave town.”
About: Hey everyone. My name is Benjamin. I just graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette this past spring with a bachelors degree in Informatics - Interactive Media Technology. I do have a full time job working at Home Furniture Company with an IT Tech team. I am still fairly available after work and on weekends. I have a brand new 2020 Hyundai Veloster Turbo R-Spec, so I am very reliable when it comes to transportation from A->B. I love all animals. I currently have 2 cats, 2 rats, and 1 leopard gecko. My dog is still in NOLA with my parents. His name is Beignet and is 13 years old. He is a Maltese-pomeranian. My favorite dog breeds are German Shepherds, Pitbulls, and border colllies. My favorite fat breeds are siamese and tabbies. I was walking a German Shepherd consistently for over a year and a half until Covid hit. Don't worry, I am vaccinated. Reach out if you think I'd be a good fit! I currently work full time 8am-5pm, but am still fairly free after work. I am usually free on the weekends unless I am out of town visiting family in Nola. I currently have an apartment with my significant other. We try not to have other animals inside since we have 2 cats. But I am always open to going to a client's home to take care of an animal.
“Loralei did drop in visits 2 x day for 5 days for my 3 pups . Charlie is not particularly fond of people and I was a little nervous about how he’d react but by the end of the second day she had won him over and he followed her outside along with the other 2. She also fed my fish and put bird seed in my feeder every morning. She communicated concerns and reassured me all was well . I recommend her and I will use her again in the future !”

“Lillian was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my two cats and dog while I was away. I could tell right away that my pets felt comfortable with her, and she went above and beyond to make sure they were happy, safe, and loved. She kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me total peace of mind. Coming home to relaxed, well-cared-for pets says it all! I’m so grateful to have found her and would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable sitter.”

About: Hi! My name is Shayna Malonson, and I’ve always had a deep love for animals—especially dogs. I grew up with dogs my entire life, and now as an adult with my own home, I’m lucky to have two of my own: Ally (4 years old) and King (2 years old). They are a huge part of my daily life and have taught me so much about responsible, loving care. I personally bathe my dogs, brush their teeth, and handle their basic grooming after learning how to properly care for them myself. Through experience—especially managing my older dog’s dry skin—I’ve learned a lot about different dog food brands, skin-care products, and overall dog wellness. This has helped me become very attentive to each dog’s individual needs. In my free time, I enjoy playing fetch, going on simple walks, and giving my dogs plenty of love and attention. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I would love the opportunity to care for your dogs as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m home often and able to give dogs consistent attention throughout the day. My schedule allows me to plan feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest periods without rushing. I build my day around the dogs in my care, making sure they receive regular supervision, exercise, and companionship. Whether it’s morning and evening routines, midday check-ins, or overnight care, I’m flexible and dependable. I enjoy keeping pets on a steady schedule so they feel comfortable and secure I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment for every pet in my care. In my home, dogs are treated like family and are always supervised. I make sure the space is clean, pet-safe, and free from hazards, with plenty of room for rest, play, and comfort. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I’m experienced with basic grooming care such as bathing and brushing, and I pay close attention to skin sensitivity, diet needs, and overall well-being. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. I ensure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure, and I never leave pets unattended outside. Trust and communication are very important to me. I provide updates, photos, and messages so owners feel confident and at ease while their pets are in my care. My goal is always to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved.
About: I have 12+ years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I currently share my home with my two rescues: Princess, a calm and loving 10-year-old lab mix, and Ross, a playful almost 3-year-old dachshund mix. My late German Shepherd, Thor, was with me for 7 wonderful years and passed in October of 2024 at 10 years old. Since 2021, I’ve been active in dog rescue and fostering, caring for countless pups including senior dogs, puppies, and even Amish puppy mill rescues who needed patience, rehab, and lots of love. Watching them blossom into happy, adoptable dogs has been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. My dogs are truly my world, and I’ll treat yours like family too. You can always count on me to keep you updated with photos and messages, so you know your furry friend is happy and cared for. Right now, I’m available throughout the week since I don’t begin my full-time job until the end of October. Once I start, I’ll still be available for boarding and drop-in visits—your pet will just need to be comfortable with me being away during normal work hours. In my home, your dog will have a safe and loving environment with plenty of playtime in my fenced-in yard. I can crate your pup if that’s what you prefer, or keep them free to relax with my own two dogs—whatever makes them most comfortable. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your routines and preferences closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or snuggles. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and cared for just like they do with you.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
