About: Hi, I'm George (nickname Trey), I have fostered dozens of dogs, mostly puppies, and have two rescue pups who live with me. My lab mix is everyone's best friend, while my shepherd mix is often reactive, so I manage the greetings with her separately. After she settles down she loves to play with her new friends. About: I’ve had a dog since I was 7 years old who recently passed away. I live with my parents who are also fellow animal lovers and love when I pet-sit for friends. It brings life and fun to our household to host your furry friends. I currently work part time waitressing a few nights a week nearby. About: As long as I can remember I've been an animal lover. I grew up riding horses, working on farms, + living with no less than 3 dogs at a time in my house. As a kid I dreamed of being a veterinarian. I took in all sorts of animals that needed to be nursed back to health from birds + snakes to donkeys + kittens. It was a little like living in a zoo + I loved every second! I rode + trained horses competitively in high school. At 16, I qualified for the junior Olympic team in equestrian eventing. I’m now a mom, my own son is 16, and I own my own photography business capturing families + pets spreading joy + gratitude. Rover is a welcome addition to that career. I absolutely LOVE what I do + am thankful to have the opportunity to support myself + my son serving other animal loving families like us. I work remotely Mondays and Fridays. Emma truly was incredible. I felt very comfortable with her taking care of our two WILD doggos while we were away. Our big dog is very anxious and she did great dealing with his behaviors. If she can take care of our two crazy rescue dogs, I am sure she will also do great with all dogs! So happy we found Emma. :) Highly recommend!
I couldn’t be happier with the care Rusty received. Kristen was incredibly loving and attentive throughout the four days she cared for him. She spent quality time with him every morning and afternoon, talking to him, petting him, cuddling him, and making sure he felt loved while I was away. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
