“Jennifer does a great job taking care of our two dogs and she is very accommodating when scheduling picking up or dropping off. They are always happy to stay there when we travel. The dogs come home clean and very healthy. She even gave our older dog his medication twice a day. Would definitely recommend Jennifer as your next pet sitter.”

“Where do I begin? First, I am eternally grateful for Doug and Marisol’s attentiveness and love to our 4 Pack. Our little special needs dog, Starr, needed an emergency trip to the vet that required immediate treatment while we were in York, England. Marisol and Doug kept us informed via text, pictures and email about Starr’s progress. They truly saved her life. Starr was given the royal treatment during her recovery. Second, Marisol and Doug are observant and their care for the 4 Pack is amazing. They made sure the 4 Pack stayed healthy and hydrated during the recent heat wave. Even coordinating with us to buy special food for the 4 Pack. Third, I truly believe my little grumpy chihuahua, Daisy, loves Marisol and her daughter. All the pictures showed her happy and giving the “chihuahua smile.” Marisol and her daughter, with permission, took Rascal and Raleigh on trips with their dog to the park. The video showed Rascal happily bouncing in circles around Marisol. They watched our 4 Pack for the last 30 days of our trip to Europe and while we missed them terribly we knew they were safe, happy and loved.”

About: I've owned dogs from as far as I can remember! Fast forward to today and I have a lifetime of dog owner experience along with 7 years of professional petcare work with one of San Diego's highest rated petcare companies. That has led to a mastery of canine body language - meaning I know what a dog will do before they even do it. I screen out aggression from the beginning, meaning nothing but friendly dogs are under my care. I also specialize in unsocialized dogs, with timid doggos usually leaving much more playful towards other dogs. I am dog CPR certified, with tons of experience with senior/paraplegic dogs, and am capable of administering oral/injected medication (insulin shots for diabetic dogs). A family home, crate-free environment (Unless specifically requested) will be provided for all doggos along with a big yard for them to run and play so they can feel right at home. Daily pictures/updates will be provided to ensure peace of mind while you travel. My family and I would be delighted to watch your furbaby while you're away! I fully dedicating myself to dog boarding/dog daycare, so your pups will always be supervised. Whether its playing in the yard or cuddling up on the couch to watch a movie, they will always be cared for! Even when I go for food/gym, someone is always home to watch the doggos. I have a spacious fenced yard with constant access in doors for your pups to come and go as they please! They're also allowed on the furniture and have access to tons of toys and other dogs to play with!
“My dog can be shy at first, and had some separation anxiety when I leave him. He was well taken care of during his stay and even opened up to playing more with all the dogs that were also being boarded. I would highly recommend and will absolutely use them again.”

“Wonderful as always! We left Nala with Lisa while we were away for a 2 week vacation and I felt good knowing Nala is always in the best care with Lisa while we’re gone 🩷”

“I’ve taken my Malinois here a few times and he loves it. He is always well cared for and leaves happy. I’ve left him here for up to a week and am totally comfortable doing so. I will definitely continue using their services.”

“We are so pleased with how well Taylor & Andrew took care of our dog for the weekend! We have never left our dog with anyone but family overnight so we were a bit nervous. Taylor & Andrew had us over for a meet and greet before our dog’s stay with them, which was so helpful! Our dog was comfortable with them and it was such a relief when we dropped her off and she was excited to get out and go see them! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our sweet girl! Price is great, communication is great! Home/yard was wonderful for the dogs to play outside.”

“Tyler, his family and friends treated Charlie like one of their own. He was exhausted when I brought him home from playing with the other dogs and crashed out as soon as we got home. Definitely would use Tyler again when needed.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have been a dog mom to three amazing dogs. Sadly, one of my babies passed away, and I currently have two dogs that I care for every day. Having my own dogs has taught me how much love, patience, attention, and responsibility goes into caring for them. I’m experienced with feeding, walks, playtime, bathing, and everyday routines, as well as simply making sure they feel safe and loved. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, and I’ll always care for yours with the same love and attention I give my own. ❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I already care for my own two dogs every day. I’m available throughout the week and on weekends, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual schedule for walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. I have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone you can truly trust with your fur baby. I’ll follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions closely and make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I’ll treat your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. 🐾❤️
“Stephanie is amazing! Our puppy was in good hands within her care. She kept us at ease by sending us pics and videos of our Chuy throughout the day, answered any questions we had, and she's very friendly. We highly recommend her services. We will definitely be contacting her again and we will recommend her to our family and friends.”

“It’s understandable to be intimidated by the thought of leaving your dear pup with strangers... but do not heisiate to book with Ray and Nate! They were so awesome at keeping us up to date with photos, updates, and really made us feel as if our dog was one of their own. Could not recommend more highly. They even washed his blankets and dishes for us. Thank you so much for the excellent care!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Morena Village home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Morena Village.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Morena Village sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
