“Jennifer was amazing! She took great care of our two dogs and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Both pups were happy and well-loved when we got back. She was responsible, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with animals. We’ll definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

“Doug accepted our booking the same day as the dog sitter we had scheduled canceled due to illness. His communication was excellent. He sent photos of Lady having fun during her stay and was a pleasure to work with.”

“Brooke and her husband were amazing. Incredibly loving, kind, and my dogs loved being there. After we left, something came up with one of my dogs, and Brooke handled it so well. She sent me tons of updates and pictures, and I will absolutely use her again!”

“Caring for geriatric dogs is never easy, and Lisa along with her son did a nice job over the recent holiday weekend. Although my Snuggles is a sweet pup, she doesn’t always go by the script - and Lisa did a nice job adapting. Snuggles sometimes resists taking her medication and is a bit of a loner, and when in the presence of other dogs and not in her familiar surroundings she becomes anxious and develops the shakes. I think what impressed me most was Lisa’s genuine concern for Snuggles’ care. We remained in constant contact each day with pictures of my little girl. It took a few days but Snuggles seems to have recovered. So while I wouldn’t be able to utilize Lisa’s services in her home again because of her other pet, I would definitely call on Lisa to stay with Snuggles in our home. You can be sure your pet is safe with Lisa and Logan.”

“Tiffany and her family were excellent! She kept me informed on how my doggie was doing, often sending pictures and videos. She was also flexible with pick-up and drop-off times. She followed care instructions perfectly! Overall, it was a perfect experience, and I look forward to booking with her again!”

“Anyway and her family is a keeper. She really took good care of my babies while I'm gone. Gave me a peace of mind. Toby and Marley find her as their 2nd mom. Its like their having a vacation away from their family. We will definitely bring them to her again. Thank you so much!”

“Honestly I would never leave my two dogs with anyone else. Kirsten always takes good care of my two boys as if they were her own. She always communicated and sent updates during their stay, which allowed me to relax and truly enjoy my trip knowing Zuko and Dante were in great hands. My dogs absolutely love Kirsten and her family. Whenever I drop them off, you can tell they feel comfortable and happy with her. Her dog Jack loves to play with them, and my dogs also adore spending time with her daughter. It really gives me peace of mind knowing they are treated like part of the family. This is my fourth or fifth time leaving them in Kirsten’s care, and every single time I feel completely confident that they are being well taken care of. I highly recommend Kirsten to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their pets.”

“My dog stayed 6 nights at Betty’s home. She looked happy and comfortable in the pictures I received each day. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in her care and would definitely re-book with her for future stays.”

“I’ve taken my Malinois here a few times and he loves it. He is always well cared for and leaves happy. I’ve left him here for up to a week and am totally comfortable doing so. I will definitely continue using their services.”

“Ryan & Dolores was able to watch my Bingo for a little over a week. I appreciated there flexibility, communication, and treatment of Bingo as if their own. Thank you so much for taking care of Bingo!”

“Our girls had a very nice visit with Isabella yesterday. Both thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Isabella was very good with them, and we appreciate her good efforts. Easy drop off, easy pick up. Thank you Isabella.”

“Couldn’t be happier with our first puppy sitter! Tyson had a blast with his new friends and we felt more than comfortable with leaving our pup on his first overnight trip. The updates throughout our weekend trip were extremely helpful and gave us a sense of reassurance. Will definitely be using Janet and Karen in the future.”

“Raycel watched my 3 year old mini aussie for three days while I was having my wedding in Jamestown--she was super communicative and responsive, very flexible with pick up and drop off, located conveniently and went above and beyond to bring our dog to be present during our wedding reception despite our dog getting hyper and being a handful. She handled her with ease (and treats)! Could not have asked for a better person or home to care for our dog--our dog was happier and more relaxed at Raycel's than she has ever been when boarded overnight at a variety of at-home stays. Photos throughout her stay put us at ease during a very stressful time and we couldn't have been more grateful. Highly recommended for those in Newport/Jamestown/Middletown and nearby areas.”

“Tyler, his family and friends treated Charlie like one of their own. He was exhausted when I brought him home from playing with the other dogs and crashed out as soon as we got home. Definitely would use Tyler again when needed.”

About: Hi! I’ve been a proud dog mom and animal caretaker for over 10 years, and my love for animals started at a very young age. I truly see pets as family—whether they’re my own or yours—and I treat each one with the same care, love, and attention. Expect lots of cuddles, belly rubs, and treats (with your permission, of course!). I understand that leaving your furry family member with someone new can feel a little nerve-wracking. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel completely at ease. I’m happy to send photo updates, take them on walks, keep them company with a movie if I step out, and tuck them in at night with their favorite toys so they feel safe and loved I work remotely, so I can be pretty flexible with my schedule and yours. I can work from your home if needed, be there 24/7 or to just check in. Depending on your pets needs, I can take them for walks, let them out for a bathroom breaks, play with them and their favorite toys, and provide top tier belly rubs.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
