“We are really protective of our dog when we have to leave her to go on vacation and we couldn't have been more thrilled with our experience with Brooke and Steve for our Lab, Holly! They are the nicest people and we’re quite sure that Holly felt right at home with them while we were gone. I’m confident that they treat each dog as if they were their own! Nacho and Toby are also sweet dogs and Holly had no problem fitting in with them. Brooke and Steve are very vigilant in their care and made Holly comfortable by letting her cuddle on the couch with them and roam freely around the house. About: I have always been the biggest animal lover. I am vegan for ethical reasons! I used to volunteer for the Paws Adoption Center in Chicago. There, I was involved with the community outreach team, and I’d help put together adoption packets and pamphlets. My stay was very last minute as I was coming down from LA, so they didn't have a chance to meet my dog before his stay with them. They were SUPER accommodating in taking him in really early in the morning and late at night (9:30 pm), so I could go do touristy things in SD. My dog is an excited barker when he meets people, and bright at 8:30 am, the two of them came out to greet him extremely cheerful and thankfully very nice and understanding while I apologized for his barking. They have a great house with a backyard. They were super chill about Marty hanging out with them on the couch and it seemed like they had a mellow day. Since it was only a day, I mentioned they didn't have to take photos of him, but throughout the day, they sent me adorable selfies of them having fun with my pup and it made my day! Their positivity and enthusiasm made me feel so at ease and I highly recommend them. I will definitely contact them when I'm back in town again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid, so I have plenty of experience. I also own a 5 month old mini aussiedoodle who is great with other small/medium sized dogs. She is crate trained, sleep trained, potty trained, and leash trained. I have lots of experience with dog training and have done a lot of research on it! I work from home full time, so I will be able to give potty breaks as often as I need to. I typically take Callie (my dog) to the park 2-3x a day and out to go potty every couple hours. “Nervous about leaving your new puppy in the care of a stranger? Don’t be when it’s Betty! My Cooper is 3 months old, naturally shy with strangers, and normally suffers with separation anxiety. The morning I dropped him off, I placed Cooper down on the pavement to see how he would react. To my amazement, Betty’s kind spirit attracted him like a moth to a flame. He ran over, pounced into her open arms, and followed her into her the house without so much as a cry. When I picked him up he that evening he gave her a million kisses before leaving. The following day, he did the same but with even more gusto. About: Hi there! I’ve cared for animals of all ages in households with multiple cats and dogs, also including exotic pets. I grew up with a pet husky and miniature poodle, and have experience walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I work in the morning/ early afternoon as a Barista ~20 hours a week. I am generally free early morning (before 8am), and afternoon-nighttime. I am off ~3 days a week (usually between Monday-Thursday) during which I can give extra time and attention to pet care. I have years of experience caring for and walking all kinds of dogs and am very attentive to the emotions and needs of each animal.
About: I believe dogs can tell when you truly care about them. I will give your dog plenty of love and attention, whether that be walks, time in the yard, time on the couch, or belly rubs. I take lots of pictures to let the owner know that their pup is having a good time in my care. I also am diligent to follow any care instructions provided to me and to create a safe and fun environment for all the pets entrusted to me. I have owned at least one dog for over 20 years, starting with the family pet as a young girl. I have always taken on the main responsibilities of caring for the family dog and now have two of my own, Nacho and Toby. My husband is a nurse and can administer medication as well. I love all breeds and am open to caring for any size pet. My husband and I have used Rover on multiple occasions for our own pets when we went out of town and have always had good experiences. About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was little. I have always been there to pet sit for my friends and neighbors, considering they know how much I love animals. I am currently employed part time. My work hours vary, but my days off are always Tuesday/Wednesday/Sunday. About: I have taken care of animals of all kinds since a young age. I grew in a home with cats, and later dogs were introduced. However, outside of the home life I was surrounded by dogs! The daycare I attended had an in-home grooming service, and I got to help groom the 13 dogs that lived there!
