Since she was going to be taking care of another dog on the same day that I booked Sandy's stay, Claudia suggested that we meet both her and Bella (cutest pug ever!) ahead of time to see how the two dogs would get along. It was so nice to be able to do that so that it was easy for me to just drop Sandy off on her booked day without a worry. Claudia sent me fun videos and pictures throughout the day, which was fantastic. Sandy loved her! I will definitely book Claudia again whenever I am in Ithaca! She was fabulous!!”

About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.

I have experience with fish, reptiles, guinea pigs, bunnies, etc. Just send me a message and we can discuss! I work full time on a hybrid schedule. When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with dogs. I have open availability to allow dogs in my home or to drop in to your home. I'm excited to meet some new furry friends! The pet that comes into my home has free rein. I ensure to treat them as my own, giving them snuggles, treats, and daily walks. If you prefer drop ins, I am also available to do so. About: I've loved caring for pets for family and friends over the years. Moved away from home so looking to keep that same experience around here. I'm generally off on Sundays and Mondays for work, and live close enough for potty breaks and I make my own schedule if enough notice is given. I have a fenced in yard which has been home to dogs the size of a Great Pyrenees down to a Yorkshire Terrier before. The home is large enough for multiple pets to have their space.

“Our dog was nervous at first with being in a new situation. But he immediately took to Destiny. She has a wonderful way with dogs, very gentle and caring. She later let us know that he had settled in nicely. It seems he had a great day - came home tired in a good way. We hope to call on Destiny again.”

About: I actively foster dogs/puppies on a consistent basis for several years. I've worked with the same Animal Rescue for a long period of time and have experience with many different situations. With the Rescue I regularly handle different scenarios and medical needs, from new born pups to seniors! I'm comfortable with all shapes, sizes, and medical history. Most temperaments I have lots of experience with as well. I work from home full-time. I'm home all day every day Monday-Friday. My weekends only consist of a few errands making me gone for no longer than 4-5 hours at a time. I have a 7ft tall, fully fenced, back yard. I can kennel a dog if needed, but generally they would be out hanging with me. No dog will be left unattended, inside or outside, for long periods of time. I have two adult dogs in the home that can be introduced or remain separate if needed. I also have a 6yr old in the home that loves and is respectful of all animals.

About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 7 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I'm now a stay at home mom missing my daily dog visits! I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab grey hound mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I'm willing to bathe and groom but it just depends on your dogs hair and size because I do not have a grooming area set up yet in my home, but I'm willing to talk about it! I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!
