“Gronk is typically an anxious pup who takes time to warm up to new people, but has quickly become a fan of Oli. Oli has been a great communicator, reliable, and great with Gronk's quirks. We are so thankful for Oli's help with Gronk as we are adapting to having a newborn at home.”

About: I have loved animals ever since I was born. They are my favorite thing in life. I will treat your animal with the most love I can offer. I’m more of a stay-at-home person, so when I am committed to watching your pet, they will be well taken care of while in my care. I have a fenced in yard and lots of space for a dog to play in! I have 2 cats but they are very antisocial and won’t be a problem. I’m also a quick learner and a natural when it comes to pet care!

“We love Amber! My 6lb chi is not friendly, but Amber had him in her lap with kisses in no time flat. She gives him a mid-day break while I'm working long shifts and sends pics. Amber is also very trustworthy in our home. She has been a life-saver with my little guy that can be difficult. You won't be disappointed with Amber!”

About: I'm an animal lover eager to help take care of your pet with as little disruption or stress to their normal routines and expectations! I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and cats particularly for walks, check-ins, and house sitting. I have regularly taken care of friend's and family's pets since 2024, and it brings me great joy. I am self-employed with a primarily travel-based career, combined with some light work-from-home, meaning I can make your pet the primary focus when I'm available for booking. Much of my work is contained to weekends so I can help particularly with weekday care. My primary focus is to be a highlight of your pet's day, or at least maintain their (and your!) usual routines and expectations as best I can. I offer walks, visits, crating, or longer-term pet sitting in your house. Any special requests or routines for your pets are my priority while they are in my care!

“We can always count on Jeffrey to provide great care for Quincy! He is very reliable and always on time for his drop in visits! His communication with us is excellent.”

About: I am punctual and passionate about caring for your pet! I am great at following detailed instructions and making sure your pet has everything he or she needs. I am self employed and do DoorDash. I am just starting off on Rover and would like to start doing it more often than DoorDash. I will follow instructions for whatever you need me to do with your pet. I love animals and will be excited to care for your furry friend.
“Taylor did a fabulous job with my fur babies! She stopped in for 30 minutes to let them out, spent quality time playing with them, and even tried to hand feed them to make sure they felt loved and cared for while we were away. She took great pictures and videos of her interactions with them, which gave me so much peace of mind. You can truly tell she has a heart for animals and treats them like her own. I highly recommend Taylor to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and attentive to care for their pets!”

“This was our first time trying rover with our babies after becoming empty nesters. I am so happy with Michelle! She is awesome with my dogs. She has great communication. I am really happy to have her and i don't need to worry at all!”

“I D K if my other reviews showed up as my phone is not right!! I can’t see them. Courtney V is fantastic, has a sweet personality, is confident and exceeded my expectations!!! I will recommend her to all who need her ❤️💜”

“Courtney was a great help. My babies were well taken care of and she saved me when my sitter canceled at the last minute. She is very punctual and reliable. I will definitely be using her in the future.”

“I trust Cora 100%. I have an elderly cat (18) and a youngin' full of feisty! They have very different needs. She is perfect and goes above and beyond. We have used her twice now and really feel she is part of the family when we leave our children in her care. Thank you Cora for putting us at ease while we are away. We LOVE LOVE the videos and pictures so much, as well.”

About: Here’s a 25+ word experience write-up that matches your availability and stays honest for Rover: I have over 10 years of hands-on pet care experience and currently care for my own Newfoundland dog and cat. I’m dependable, communicative, and best suited for low-to-moderate maintenance pets with established routines. I’m a college student home for winter break and work as a server, so my schedule varies with a few days per week, typically lasting 4–8 hours. I plan care around my shifts, and if needed, my sister—also an experienced Rover sitter—can help check on pets to ensure consistent care. I prioritize a calm, safe environment and closely follow each pet’s routine and care instructions. I communicate clearly with owners, respect their home, and ensure pets are secure, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.
“Julie is friendly and very good with the dogs. Our oldest Sammy can be a bit nervous with new people, but took to her right away. She was reliable, easy to communicate with, and sent great pictures and updates!”
“I liked Chloe the minute I met her. She came over for a pre visit to meet my cats and learn about their routine. Ava and Tucker warmed up to her right away and I knew they would be in good hands. Chloe arrived on schedule for four mornings and five evenings to feed, play with and attend the litter box. When I arrived home from my trip, the house was in order, and everything looked as I left it. I’ll definitely request Chloe again. 🏠😸👍🏻👍🏻”

“Bethany was great! She helped me on short notice when my something came up with my usual sitter. She was very friendly and thorough with the care instructions for my babies and even left a gift for Dipper! Would highly recommend her as I can tell she truly loves animals and will take great care yours as she did mine.”

🐾 We were so grateful for the wonderful care Timmy and Tommy received from Jessica while we were away! Knowing our cats were in such caring and reliable hands gave us complete peace of mind during our trip. It's clear that our cats were treated with kindness and affection, and we would absolutely recommend Jessica for pet-sitting services to anyone looking for someone dependable and caring. Thank you for taking such great care of our boys! 🐱❤️🐱

Amanda was absolutely amazing with Kiki! It is obvious that she not only loves animals but also has a well rounded knowledge of them. We are planning more trips out of town this Spring & Summer and I can now do them with peace of mind that our pet will be very well cared for. Thank you so much Amanda!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Monroe. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
