About: I've cared for family and friends dogs since I was a teenager, as well as our own dogs. I have experience with diabetic dogs and other medical needs. I work part time and will spend my off time with your pup. I like to meet everyone before sitting so I can get to know their routines and make sure everyone is comfortable! I will care for your pets as you do. I typically visit the home before dogsitting to meet the dog and see what their routine is.

Angie did such a wonderful job with Ginger! She had such a nice, gentle way with Ginger (former puppy mill dog and tends to be very timid.) Angie came prepared with items for the walk, she took her out for a nice long walk, and Ginger really enjoyed her time!

About: I’ve always loved animals. I had two Golden Retrievers and three cats who were a huge part of my life. They’ve all passed over the last few years, and while I’m not ready for new pets of my own just yet, I’d love to care for yours. I have a soft spot for Golden Retrievers and could really use one to love right now — but no matter the breed, I’ll treat your pet like family. Whether it’s a walk, a visit, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for. I have a full time job Monday- Thursday. I can be available for drop ins on those evenings if needed. Most Thursdays I’m available after 2. I have off Friday- Sunday and am available for several drop ins and walks When your pet is with me I will treat them as my own. I understand that every dog is unique, and I take the time to learn their quirks, preferences, and routines. My goal is to make them feel at home while you’re away, giving you peace of mind and your pet a new friend they can trust.

About: Hello! My name is Reta, and I look forward to meeting you and so many new animal friends. At home, we have our seven-year-old St. Bernard, Moose, and Tobi, an eight-year-old shepherd/husky/lab mix. Every now and then we have a foster or an overnight dog friend added to the mix. Volunteering with a dog rescue organization, I have experience with dogs of all ages and breeds with different temperaments, needs, and skills. Services provided: dog socialization, check-ins, feeding, walks, play time, general needs, overnight stays at yours or mine. I am an animal lover. I’m the person at the party hanging out with the dog. To able to do that professionally is the dream. Allow me to put your mind at ease whether it’s walking, feeding, checking in on your pet, or an overnight while you’re away. I work evenings in the restaurant industry so my schedule is flexible given time ahead. Any questions, please ask away! I work nights in the service industry so my schedule is fairly flexible with time given in advance. Daily check-ins, feedings or walks I am available daily until 4:00, if it is a work day. Pet sitting overnight or for extended stays, I would make proper arrangements. If boarding, I have a fenced-in yard and two dogs at home. When staying over, all animals eat from different bowls, and are fed separate from fosters or guests. We work on our manners and listening, as well as walk and play. Crated by request. Dogs can be kept separate if needed. If checking in, we would have covered basics and expectations during our meet and greet. Your space and your home, I treat with the utmost respect. Enter quietly, greet the pet, and proceed with walks, feeding, etc. I ask that we lay out all required services, copies of pet vaccines, and emergency contact information ahead of time.

About: I have had both cats and dogs for nearly my entire life. I have owned and cared for dogs of all ages and sizes, some with special needs. I believe that for the love and companionship animals offer us, the least we can do for them is make sure they are well loved back and always happy and healthy! I do work part time during the week, however I am available Tuesdays and Thursdays indefinitely and have the ability to work around my work schedule for bookings on other days of the week if need be. I look forward to helping with your pet care needs and making new friends! ☺️ If you have a fenced in yard, I am more than happy to play with your pup in their own yard. If you do not have a fenced in yard, I would just ask that their leash and a secure collar be placed in an area where it is easy to find, as well as instructions of how far/long you would like them to be walked/exercised. I am also willing to accommodate any other requests clients may have to ensure the safety and well being of their pets.

About: Growing up around dogs of all sizes and ages, dogs with disorders such as anxiety or epilepsy, and dogs that just love to eat any and everything, I've learned how to handle almost any tough situation. I also have pervious experience working as a cashier at a pet store. I am a full-time student with a part time job. The good news? Most of my afternoons are available to be spent with your furry friends! I will spend a good portion of the time playing with your furry friends and helping them get all their wiggles out! If you have a fenced in yard we'll probably spend a lot of time outside (weather permitting!). I will of course ensure your friends have plenty of water, are fed on schedule, and take any medications they need.

About: I have always been a dog lover & a cat lover! I have had dogs & cats since a child growing up.Bunnies, birds, fish, a ferret, I have adopted my dogs & cats and saved a dog, kittens and cats. My baby that I have now is my beautiful black lab named Princess Leah! Princess Leah makes me very happy everyday! I have a handsome, loving, very sweet, talkative cat named Shadow Bear who I adopted. Shadow Bear is my world too! I know I can make your dog, cat or animal happy too! I love the animal for who it is! I look at all animals needs and wants all very differently because not one has the same. We all have feelings and even our fury friends do! I will provide whatever it takes for your fur baby to be happy, comfortable and in a healthy environment. I have been pet sitting, dog walking, exercising, training, keeping your fur baby active, doing therapy with their back legs, joints and mobility, administering medicine, shots, clipped nails, cleaned ears, bathed, brushing, feeding, constantly changing water, keep hydrated, pampering and just loving your animal like he or she needs to be. I took some classes and this one I took at my vet which I was amazed because they taught me how to drain the adrenaline glands and some dogs have a severe issue with that quite often. My dog does! There are classes that you can go in and they will take the time and show you for some things. I like to to participate in these classes so I have knowledge when it comes time to if anything happens. I started dog walking at 12 years old. A long with other jobs of course throughout life. I have been pet sitting for almost 15 years. I am a full time pet sitter with all of your needs and wants for your fur baby as if your fur baby was my own! You see...... I am with my baby almost all day everyday and as you can tell this is my life. Princess Leah has been my life and is my life! Shadow Bear is too! One more thing! I love to walk, I am very cheerful and I love to talk up a storm. I always talk to my Princess Leah & Shadow Bear. I love all animals! I love people too, but let’s be honest here, not as much as my fur babies! I do not even call my dog a dog. She means that much to me! I live in a rural area and I have some land, I have my own house, I have a huge house, lots of windows, my house is cheerful, I am cheerful, I cook for my fur baby friends, Your baby will not only be loved, but cared for, well taken care of, but part of my family! I love to walk! I also love to have fun and enjoy life! Walking your angel is a joy to me!. Not only will it be their exercise, but enjoyment for your loved one! I do house sitting and cleaning too. Please call me. I am a very honest, loving, compassionate, caring person who works well with people too! I love my animals! I will board your fur babies while you are at work and I also will work around any last minute plans. I also do doggy day care, Check-in’s, Walks, Activities and more! Just drop me a message on here! For my Doggy Day Care Services if you board two animals with me on a regular basis I will give you a discount and for you boarding one animal with me for my Doggy Day Care Services I will give you a discount too. I love what I do! I love being around animals! I do this full time as my job even though it is more like a passion than a job to me. I stay at people’s houses. I travel and do pet sitting, I stay over night a lot. The most was a week that I worked for with a client and stayed at their house the whole time. I will also do day sitting or check-ins but mostly overnight and pet sitting during the day at my clients homes. Traveling is a lot and a lot of people like when you stay at their homes with their animals and care for them. The animals are safe and feel comfortable in their own environment. I make sure that all my fur babies are cared for, loved, given the attention that they need and all their needs are met. I am a traveling pet sitter now. I use to board animals in my home until I sold my house just recently. Now, I travel to my clients homes. I mostly stay overnight and for more than one day because my clients go away on vacation. I do many services for my clients. I walk your animal, feed your animal whether if it’s can food, dry food or home made food which I have made home made food for my fur babies before and still do. I administer medication to animals, groom them, brush, bathe, keep them active and help them with their mobility, Play, do fun activities with my fur babies, train, keep them busy and entertained and plenty more. I make sure your animal is well cared for, loved like he or she was my own, given the attention it needs, Be happy and even more. I go over and beyond for my fur babies and each and everyone always feels safe, comfortable, loved, happy and etc….. I have a lot of clients and some of them I care for during the Summer when they go away a lot and some of my clients I care for during the week and in wknds. • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
