“Prior to meeting Ron, I was very nervous about leaving Mina at a sitters or dog daycare. But after meeting Ron, all of those reservations and nervousness completely disappeared. He provides an excellent dog care service. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needed a highly qualified, capable and caring dog sitter. If Mina could speak I'm sure she would say the same! ”

“Allison was fantastic! Ozzie adored her and her dog, and by the third day when I told him he was going to see her he got excited. She kept me updated with lots of photos and was also very understanding of my shifting drop-off and pick-up hours due to the nature of the daytime event I was working. I will definitely be sending Ozzie to stay with her again in the future, and would recommend her to anyone.”
“Chris was very responsive and easy to work with. He took great care of our new puppy when we needed someone to watch him during the day. We will definitely continue to use Chris in the future!”

“Stephanie is a great communicator and very patient with all of our concerns for her first visit with her. Frankie had a great day and came home happy and tired from the day of play (that she loves). We are so glad to have found Stephanie and appreciate her beautiful attitude!”

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of him. He loves hanging out with you. It's funny because we will tell him where he's going in the morning and he gets so excited!”

“Stephanie provided excellent care for Elvis during his daycare! She sent me pictures of him throughout the day. I will be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve been watching pets for about 9 years now. I am very active so I will play with them and walk them as much as needed. I have two dogs of my own who are my favorite things in the world! I am working part time right now as a kids soccer coach so I have lots of time on my hands to watch your pets! Weekdays and weekends I am free :) I live in an apartment so no fence but there’s lots of sidewalks around me to walk the dogs on. Also, I own a pretty good sized kennel if needed. I love to walk so can walk your dogs as much as they need!
“Brittany was great and Ovi had a great time staying with she and her family! Very flexible and personable and made sure every detail about his care was attended to. And their dog Franklin was a great companion for Ovi!”

About: Hi! We’re Sara and Courtney 🐾—a reliable, dog-loving duo offering dog sitting, overnight care, and dog walking with lots of personalized attention. What makes us different? Your dog gets consistent, all-day care and companionship—not just quick drop-ins. Sara works from home, so your pup will have someone there throughout the day for supervision, playtime, walks, and snuggles. We offer: ✔️ Overnight stays (in our home or yours) ✔️ Full-time in-home sitting (we actually stay, not just visit) ✔️ Dog walking for exercise, enrichment, or midday breaks ✔️ Medication administration + senior dog experience ✔️ Plenty of updates, photos, and peace of mind while you’re away In our home, dogs are treated like family—couch time, cuddles, and daily walks included. In your home, we keep your dog’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. Courtney works in healthcare and is trained in canine CPR, with experience fostering senior dogs who need extra care. Sara loves keeping dogs mentally engaged with training, play, and enrichment. Our goal is simple: a safe, loving, low-stress experience for your dog—and total peace of mind for you. Let us know how we can help—we’d love to meet you and your pup! 🐶💛 We’d be honored to care for your pup and give them all the love and attention they deserve while you’re away!! We are available to sit during the weekdays, weekends and some holidays! We have a fenced-in backyard with a doggie door, allowing your pup to come and go as they please. I also have a large metal crate for crate-trained dogs, but if your dog is used to roaming the house, that's fine too. Additionally, I have multiple dog beds, blankets, and toys available.
“Can’t recommend enough. Stephanie was available short notice & super considerate before/during Shiloh’s stay. She kept me up updated & Shiloh seemed very comfortable.”

“Great communications (several check ins, including picture) to let me know my mini goldendoodle Enzo was settling in with the other dogs and doing well during his first day. Enzo was calm and confident when I picked him up - indicating it was a good experience for him too :) Thanks!”

“I can't thank Griffin enough for taking care of my dog on such short notice. They were incredibly accommodating and provided excellent care. Highly recommended!"”

About: I have been the "go-to" dog sitter for my circle of friends for years, and I’ve realized that the only thing better than having one dog in the house is having two (or three if you have a pair of pups!). I’m opening up my home to Rover guests primarily to provide some social fun for my own dog, Ripley. Ripley is a high-energy ball of joy who loves to play, so if you have a dog that never seems to tire out, they’ll find a kindred spirit here. Whether it's rounds of fetch, wrestling in the yard, or just having a buddy to nap with, your dog will be integrated into our daily routine. What to Expect: • Individualized Attention: Because I only sit 1 family’s dogs at a time, your dogs will get plenty of attention! • Active Days: We specialize in high-energy play. If your dog loves to move, they’ll come home happy and exhausted. • A Present Sitter: I work from home so your dogs will have plenty of face time with me! All dogs with an easy going temperament that are ready to play are welcome. I work from home so your dogs will get plenty of belly rubs and play time. I typically give Ripley a long walk (3 miles) after work that your pup is welcome to join or we can just stick to outdoor play time. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog that would love to play outside with your pup. I will send you daily updates and photos. I am happy to accommodate crate-trained dogs (bring your own crate) or dogs that roam a little bit more free (provided they don’t have destructive tendencies😂). I am a bit of a toasty sleeper so unfortunately no dogs in the bed, but they are welcome to sleep at the foot of my bed or anywhere else in the house!
About: Please claim a a spot for the holidays early :) I have 2 years of dedicated pet care experience looking after a variety of breeds. I focus on creating a safe, fun, and stress-free environment for your pets while you are away. I love providing long walks, plenty of playtime, and lots of individual attention. Because I dedicate myself to pet care full-time, my schedule is completely open and flexible. I am fully available for overnight boarding, weekend stays, and daytime visits, ensuring I can perfectly match your pet's normal daily schedule. I love taking care of animals, and nothing is more important to me than making sure every single pet feels loved and safe. I have a secure fenced yard for outdoor playtime and can easily take your pet on long walks if needed. For pets who aren't well with other pets, I will make sure to reserve those days for ONLY that pet. Every animal deserves to be comfortable. I only accept pets that are friendly and comfortable around other dogs during bookings that require more than one pet. NOTE: For safety reasons, I cannot accept pets that are aggressive or lash out at people. Safety is my top priority, and I reserve the right to decline bookings if a pet is not a good fit.
“So glad to have met Ramon, and his dog, Dante. He took fantastic care of my dog, and even took him for a walk! After work, I brought a happy and tired dog home! I already have other dates booked. Thanks again, Ramon.”

Chris was great with and to our guy Bleu! We were on a cross country trip, and Chris was understanding and flexible with us when it came to drop off times! Which we couldn’t appreciate more! Bleu seemed to have enjoyed himself and came back to us happy and super sleepy! Thank you Chris for letting Bleu hang out and stretch his legs from our long trip! I’d recommend Chris to anyone in or traveling through the area!

Jessica has been amazing with communication and flexibility. We just moved to the area from across the country and our two large dogs, who had previously stayed with someone else for daycare and boarding, have taken time to adjust and Jessica was super patient and understanding. We've booked two daycares with a third planned and hope to board with her soon trusting that she will take great care of the pups while we're gone. Nico and Luka came back from daycare today tuckered out, happy, and got to socialize with other dogs. Truly thankful.

Sarah was absolutely fantastic with our six month old puppy and her adorable dog Beau could not have been a better host! I greatly appreciated how much care and concern she has about our puppy’s stay at her charming home. She asked lots of questions to ensure all went well and kept us updated constantly on the visit! I cannot say enough great things about her! She is truly a great find here in the Waldo/Brookside area!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Mission Woods commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
