About: Hi there! My name is Joy-Ming, and I’ve been caring for pets since I was 15 years old. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with a wide variety of animals from energetic puppies to mellow senior cats through dog sitting, walks, and in-home visits. I’ve also had pets of my own growing up, so I understand how important it is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’ve done house sitting and pet care for friends, family, and local clients, including dogs of all sizes and personalities. Every animal is unique in their own way, and I take pride in adapting to their needs. If that means giving extra cuddles, going on fun walks, or simply being a calming presence, I am willing to do what I can to make our time together as stress free as possible. Volunteering with the Greater Birmingham Humane Society was a humbling and powerful experience that deepened my compassion for animals and my commitment to making them feel safe and cared for. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and every home with the same respect and care I give my own space. I’m also naturally tidy and organized, so rest assured, your pet will be in great hands. Whether you need a weekday dog walk, weekend house sitting, or just a reliable check-in while you’re out, I’d love to help. I am currently available Monday through Thursday, which allows me to dedicate focused time and attention to each pet I care for. This may apply to morning walks, drop in visits, or overnight stays, I plan my schedule around the pets’ needs to ensure they receive consistent love and care. With years of experience caring for dogs and cats in both personal and volunteer settings, I’m used to creating flexible routines that prioritize animals’ comfort and well-being. I follow all care instructions closely and make sure pets feel secure and loved in their environment. I’m respectful of the client’s home, keep things clean, and provide regular updates with messages or photos, so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs most of my life, ever since I was first introduced to them at nine years old. I’ve spent the most time with American and European bloodline Great Danes — a breed I absolutely adore, though I love all dogs deeply. In 2022, I worked for a professional dog care business, where I was responsible for four European Great Danes daily — all in the same home. I walked each dog three times a day, fed them individually twice a day, and made sure they had plenty of playtime and enrichment outside of their crates. I also assisted with the birth of a litter of puppies, helping weigh them, check their temperatures, and feed them a blended diet as they grew. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re considering booking with me, feel free to text me — I’d be happy to share photos of my experience. Looking forward to meeting your fur baby! 🐾 I’m currently on summer break from college which gives me complete flexibility to schedule any days needed I’m available Sun-Sat so feel free to reach out. In my home, your pet will be treated like family. I stick to a consistent feeding schedule, offer walks three times a day, and provide regular potty breaks. If allowed, I also work on basic training using treats. I make sure your pup gets plenty of playtime, cuddles, and affection throughout the day. I usually let dogs roam freely, but at bedtime they’ll sleep in my room so I can keep a close, loving eye on them through the night. 🐾

Delanie A.
“As long as I've known Delanie, she has always been about animals. For the past two years, anytime I go out of town I drive two hours to Birmingham so Delanie can watch Trigg, my pup. She already has a few sweet pups of her own, and Trigg can hardly contain himself when he knows I'm at her house. Would highly recommend Delanie, she's super caring and not overpriced, at all.”

Macgyver H.
“My health has been declining over the last few years. There have been multiple times when I was unable to leave my room let alone walk my sweet doggy, "Charlie". Macgyver has been a life saver during those times. He treats my Charlie with the same love and care as I do when I am able. He follows my very detailed requests with a wonderful attitude and patience. And Charlie is always tail wagging happy to see his friend, Macgyver.”
