“Britiany took such amazing care of our kitten while we were away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! She did drop-in visits and went above and beyond to keep us updated and our kitten happy! After every visit, she sent thoughtful report cards along with plenty of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind and made being away from our little guy so much easier. One of the sweetest touches was that she left us Polaroid pictures of our kitten as keepsakes. It was such a thoughtful surprise and something we’ll always cherish. 🥹 It’s clear that Britiany genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. She was attentive, communicative, and treated our kitten like he was her own. We came home to a happy, well cared for kitten, and we are so grateful for everything she did. We would absolutely trust her to watch him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and thoughtful pet sitter!”

About: Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to feed, walk, and entertain their pets for several years. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember! I’m a graduate student at UAB and my schedule has the opportunity to be flexible, so I am available for early mornings, late afternoon, and evening walks and check-ins during the week. On the weekends, I have full availability for whatever you and your pet need! I treat every pet like it’s my own- I shower them with love and affection, give lots of treats, and can play all day, regardless of your pet’s age, personality, or activity level.

About: I currently have two cats so I have lots of experience with cats. I also have experience watching dogs, big or small. I’ve watched dogs on an off again for my friends and neighbors. I am very good an when it comes to strict schedules. I have experience giving medication as well. I would love to have the chance to care for you loved pets and give them just as much love as you have. I do work night shift of the weekends but I am free on weekdays all day. And I can also come during the day on weekends a couple times before I go into work. Due to me having cats at my home I will not be offering at home services because I do not want to stress your animal out as well as mine.

About: I can't remember a time in my life I did not have my own pets. I have taken care of my own pets all of my life and am a lifelong animal caregiver. I have experience as a foster mom for an animal rescue as well and I enjoyed taking care of so many different babies and helping them find their forever homes. I have always had both cat and dog companions and have advocated and helped friends and family with their pets as well. I currently have a senior dog, a senior cat, who have both been with me for over 13 years, three cats who are two years old and a leopard gecko! I would love to meet you and help with your pet care needs! I'm currently available part-time, on Monday- Friday from 9:00 am- 1:30 pm. I would be happy to work around your schedule as much as possible! I have a fenced in yard and pets of my own. I understand each pet has their own personality and needs tailored to them. I will be an active listener and always treat and care for your pets according to your wishes!

About: I have had 2 dogs for six years and have raised them and taken care of them since they were 12 weeks old. I rescued my cat, Casper, when he was 8 months old. I adore cats very much. I am equipped to handle whatever challenges your animals may have. I am not scared of dogs even if they growl, bark, or nip for most animals it is normal to be a little scared when introduced to new people. I am very gentle when approaching and getting to know new animals no matter what they may be. Animals have always been therapeutic and a safe place for me in many ways. Often I care about animals more than I care about myself and the same value will always go for your pet. When I am in charge of making sure your pet is well, that is my number 1 priority. I am a college student which does mean my schedule may be a little full/hectic sometimes but I will never commit to a responsibly that I know I can’t do to my absolute best ability. I feed my cat whenever his food bowl is empty since he does not overeat I do not have him on a strict eating schedule. I also refill his water bowl whenever empty. I clean his litter box every other day and change the litter every 2-3 weeks. I feed the dogs and give the dogs water as well as let them out. I walk the dogs in the evening. I cuddle with all of our animals through out the day to show them how loved they are. I will feed, water, and give as much affection as I can to whatever animal I am assigned to. I will play with them and care for them as if they are my own. I will hang out with them and just chill so they know they are not alone.

About: My love for dogs started at age 7 when I got my first dog, and I've never looked back. That lifelong bond has also given me a natural understanding of dog behavior, which helps me keep every pet calm, happy, and well cared for. I have open availability, making pet care a natural and flexible part of my everyday routine. Your pet will always be my priority. Feel free to message me with any questions! Your pet's well being is my top priority. Every visit includes fresh food, clean water, plenty of exercise, and playtime tailored to your pet's personality and energy level. About: I would love to walk/ hike with your pet, care for it at your home, or drop in to let them out. I have always loved animals ever since I was little. My first job was a pet sitting service, I was frequently asked to watch neighbors dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, etc. My friends often rely on me to take care of their animals while out of town and I have experience with older dogs as well as puppies. My dog passed away earlier this year and I won't be ready for anther dog anytime soon, but I would love to share love with your animals. I work seasonally and am currently off for my winter season. I would love to spend time with your animals either at your home or on walks/hikes! I can not watch pets in my own home but in my client's home I make sure to follow their rules and ask the important questions up front. I make sure to not leave pets alone too long and to be there for feeding times and to keep them company at night.

About: As a longtime dog owner myself, I know how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust caring for your pet. I’ve spent the past 8 years caring for my own dog through different stages of life and am very comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, medications, special diets, senior dogs, and pets who may need a little extra patience or attention. I’m also a certified Physician Assistant, so being dependable, attentive to detail, and calm in unexpected situations comes naturally to me. I’m happy to follow detailed care instructions and will treat your pet’s routine as carefully as I would my own. I also know how reassuring updates can be when you’re away, so you can expect plenty of communication and photos! I currently have a very flexible schedule while transitioning into my first position as a Physician Assistant, which gives me plenty of availability for weekday and weekend walks and drop-in visits. I’m happy to help with both occasional care and a consistent schedule for families who need recurring visits. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and entering your home. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and care instructions closely, including feeding, walks, medications, and any special needs. I’m attentive to changes in behavior or wellbeing and will keep you updated with photos and messages during each visit. I’m also respectful of your home and will always make sure doors, gates, leashes, and other safety measures are secure before I leave.

About: I’m an educator, dad, and lifelong pet owner with more than 20 years of experience caring for animals. Pets have always been part of my family, so I understand that trusting someone with yours is a big deal. I’m patient, attentive, dependable, and comfortable following established routines for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and all the little things that help a pet feel safe and comfortable. As an early childhood professor, caregiving, observation, communication, and responsibility are quite literally part of what I do every day. I’ll care for your pet with the same attention and affection I expect for my own. As a university professor, my schedule offers more flexibility than a traditional 9-to-5, particularly on certain weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I’m also a dad, so planning, routines, and being dependable are already a big part of my life! I’m happy to coordinate care around your pet’s normal schedule whenever possible and will always be upfront about my availability before accepting a booking. I know pets are family, and I treat both your pet and your home with that level of care and respect. I follow your instructions closely, maintain established feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines, and pay attention to changes in behavior or appetite. I’m patient about letting pets warm up to me at their own pace and prioritize safety at all times. You can also expect dependable communication and updates while you’re away. I know how reassuring it is to know that someone you love is happy, safe, and well cared for.

FAQs for Cat Sitting - Hobson

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of October 2026, there are 442 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Hobson. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hobson. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
