“Such an amazing sitter! Dee was extremely attentive to our dog and followed her routine to a Tee. She even went out of her way to take her to the nearby dog park to get some extra exercise! Would 100% recommend!!”

“The world needs more Emmas! Emma is simply the best. From the moment we connected with her, she was incredibly responsive and consistently demonstrated professionalism and a genuine commitment to what she does. Our dogs absolutely loved her! She kept us regularly updated, which brought us so much peace of mind while we were away. Knowing that someone so dedicated was caring for our furry family members made all the difference. What truly stood out was Emma’s proactive nature—she offered to help us with a situation we hadn’t even anticipated. That level of care goes far beyond what you typically expect when trusting someone with your pets. Emma went above and beyond in every way. I wholeheartedly recommend her. The world would truly be a better place with more people like Emma.”

“Christi was amazing! She loved on our golden so well and was extremely communicative, giving us daily updates along with pictures. We will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!”

“Where do I start 😀 Rod did 2 meet and greets prior to my leaving for vacation which made me know he wanted to be right on spot double checking responsibilities for Kacey Mocha, and to get to know her disposition. Not only was he the kindest, most respectful and responsible petsitter for Kacey, he helped me with support as this was my first time being separated from her and I was quite nervous/sad. Daily texts and photos, face time, and coming home to a very clean house was a bonus! The most important thing is- Rod gave 100% attention and care to Kacey Mocha and expressed how much fun he had with her. And my stepdad would visit Kacey Mocha a couple times while Rod was here and he called me to tell me what an enjoyable time he had talking with Rod while they played with her and I had nothing to worry about with Rod caring for her. Thank you Rod so very much!”

“Jamie was great with our anxious pup! We’ve been working on her separation anxiety and Jamie was understanding and didn’t make us feel like overbearing dog-parents.”

“I was very happy with the job Rachel did for me when she came to my home and pet set for Flash. She left the house in great condition and took excellent of him. She was there for 6 days.”

“Leah took great care of our dog on her, four night stay. She communicated well, sent lots of pictures and even took our trash bins up to the house and mail inside. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Dwayne took care of my crew while attending to family business in another state. It was clear from the start what a great animal lover he is as my big dog immediately wanted to be besties. He got my little guys to warm up to him and sent lots of pics of them smiling. He was attentive in every way. He’s a terrific human and clearly takes great pride in his services. I would highly recommend him and will definitely be contacting Dwayne again for future needs. Do not hesitate to book with Dwayne!”

About: Hi, I’m Debbie, and I have always had dogs in my life! I retired a little over a year ago, and I love spending time with my husband and our 2 year old Golden Retriever, Frankie. He’s our second Golden and we love this breed, although we really love all dogs — cats, too! I enjoy walking Frankie and we are avid walkers in this house. I’d love to take your dog on walks, too! I’m available for dog walking, drop in visits for feeding and potty breaks (with or without Frankie tagging along, that would be up to you); I can also housesit your dog in your own home while you’re away on vacation or other travels. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I’m retired, so my schedule is fairly flexible. I occasionally have appointments and other activities, but I can easily fit your pet’s care into my lifestyle. I have a fully fenced backyard where my Golden Retriever, Frankie, would be ready to make friends with your dog if you’d like them to meet. If you’d prefer that your dog stay at home in his/her own surroundings, I’ll be happy to oblige whatever requests you have in order to keep your pet comfortable and happy.
“Anissa was awesome! She stayed at our house and took care of our dog and 2 cats. Communication was super easy, and she sent updates with photos. She even took our pup to the obedience class, that she’s enrolled in, so she didn’t miss it! Couldn’t have asked for a easier experience for our first time booking a house sitter through Rover.”

“Amie cared for our cat & dog & stayed at our home for over 3 weeks. She was very conscientious and sensitive to their needs. She gave them lots of love & quickly bonded with them. I got daily updates with photos that I deeply appreciated. She cared for them & our house as if they were her own. She walked my dog daily & I had no worries about them at all. I highly recommend Amie as a loving professional caregiver! She’s a gem”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I've been lucky to parent dogs, cats, and horses, including two retired racing Greyhounds and a tuxedo cat who made me a certified cat person. Beyond my own, I've been caring for pets professionally (i.e., beyond friends and family) for more than 15 years, and after taking some time away while completing my PhD and living abroad, I'm excited to be back doing something I've always loved. In 2011, I started walking pups professionally in Chicago as a side gig during my breaks from tour managing for a band, which quickly turned into my dog-walking clients asking me to stay in their home with their pets while they were away. Over the span of just a few years, I built relationships with more than 30 clients, with most of them turning into repeat (and repeat and repeat!) clients. I've cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from tiny Yorkies to Great Danes and everything in between. I've also worked with many pets that required extra patience or specialized care. I've cared for senior pets, dogs < 1yo, a blind Australian Cattle Dog, a deaf cat, highly anxious and stranger-wary dogs, VERY stranger-wary cats, a Beagle with a seizure disorder, and pets receiving medication. I've also been the go-to sitter for a couple of families going through difficult times with their critters, including caring for their pets with terminal illnesses during their final days (both a black lab named Maggie and the sweetest deaf black cat named Sam) . Over the years, I've handled a few very unexpected situations as well. Whether it's a medical event requiring an unexpected trip to the veterinarian or even arriving to a cat drop-in visit to find that the apartment had experienced a break-in (in my Chicago days, which included working with police and gathering the terrified cats from the apartment stairwell), I've stayed calm, communicated clearly, and focused on keeping the critters safe and the clients informed. There have also been several occasions where I've extended my stay last-minute due to a client's canceled flight or interrupted travel plans. One of the biggest differences between my prior pet sitting days and now is my flexibility due to my remote work. When I pet sat extensively throughout Chicago, my tour managing days had ended and I worked a full-time 9-5 downtown. This was fine for my clients, as they had a similar schedule. But I now work fully remotely, so I have a highly flexible schedule that allows me to spend much more time with your pets throughout the day than I could years ago. I essentially do my best to work around your pet's normal routine. I'm happy to accommodate early mornings, evenings, or midday visits whenever possible. My goal is to make life feel as normal and stress-free as possible for your pets while you're away. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect I'd expect someone to show mine, as I've also hired pet sitters over the years for my own critters. I follow your instructions (the more the better!), keep you updated with photos (lots!) and messages, and make sure your pets receive the same routines, rules, and attention they're used to (e.g., their feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, cuddle time, or simply keeping them company).
“Devon is wonderful! We rescued a dog who is very nervous of people and Devon has such a calm energy that our dog warmed up to her very quickly. Devon was great to communicate with and sent us picture during her stay.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Milwood
Kat was the best rover sitter we’ve had! She cared for our dog like it was her own. She went above and beyond, like grooming him and taking him for walks around our neighborhood, which was not expected at all. She had great communication throughout. We are so grateful for her and will definitely book her again!

Cameron did a great job house sitting and taking care of our dogs over a long weekend. He communicated well throughout our trip and sent regular updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were well cared for, and when we returned home, everything was clean and in order. We really appreciated his reliability and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet and house sitter.

Alix is the best! This was the second time she’s watched our 2 dogs and cat, and whether or not she was available was a determining factor if we were going to spend the night where we were going because when she watches our pets, we know we can genuinely enjoy ourselves knowing they’re in great hands. She’s great at communicating and sends constant photos for peace of mind.

Amie cared for our cat & dog & stayed at our home for over 3 weeks. She’s a gem

Jess was absolutely amazing with our pit mix pup!! She sent such prompt updates and kept us in the loop our whole travel really putting our minds at ease!! Not to mention when we had a travel fiasco getting home she was willing to pop by to let our sweet girl out to potty one more time on short notice!!! 🥹🤍🫶🏻
