Pet care experience

Pittie momma

I grew up with pets and currently have my own 4 fur babies at home! I own my home with a fenced in yard! I can watch your dog in my home if you prefer but do not mind staying over if that is what you would like! I offer walking services as well if that is what your fur baby needs during the day. I do allow my pets on the furniture and bed but can keep yours off if you would prefer! Being crate trained is not necessary and I can help with potty training for any puppies that will be in my care. I do have a full time 9-5 job but I can easily leave at lunch for any potty breaks your fur babies will need!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in yard for the dogs to run around in! I stay outside with them while they do business to ensure safety. Playtime is a necessity so we will have multiple times a day to play outside with a tennis ball or go for walks

Emma was a great dog sitter! She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated while we were away. Our dog loved her and was so well taken care of—we’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Emma did a great job watching our dog aspen for the weekend

I booked Emma for a weekend, in-home stay to care for my multiple pets while I was out of town. During our meet and greet, we discussed my dogs’ routines, feeding schedule, and expectations for a full-time, live-in stay. I have frenchies and one is a 3 month old puppy, so they are slightly higher maintenance than a normal dog. She assured me that she was fully available and prepared to care for them throughout the entire weekend, so I felt comfortable moving forward. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being extremely disappointing and far from what was promised. From the very first night, communication and reliability became a serious concern. She arrived once in the early evening to let the dogs out, but then was completely unreachable for several hours. My dogs were left in their crates from 6:00 PM until nearly midnight. I sent multiple texts and calls before finally receiving a response, at which point she admitted she had gone home after running personal errands and “lost track of time.” I was so concerned that I had to call a friend to come over around 10:30 PM to let the dogs out and make sure they were okay until she returned close to midnight. The next morning, she let them out around 9:00 AM and then informed me she had errands to run until at least 2:30 PM. I had already explained that one of my dogs is a puppy who cannot be crated for long periods of time and that they all need their first meal around 12–1 PM. My neighbors, who adore our dogs, noticed no one was at my home for most of the day and reached out asking if they should check in. At that point—around 1:00 PM—I told them yes, please, because I had no idea when she would actually be back. They went over, let the dogs out, and fed them lunch. She finally texted me around 2:30 PM saying she was “on her way back” and asked if she could bring a friend by to meet the dogs. At that point, I decided to end the stay early. My neighbors generously cleared their weekend plans and took over care for the remainder of the weekend to make sure the dogs received proper love, attention, and routine care. I let the sitter know I wanted to cancel and expected a refund, given that she had only provided minimal drop-ins rather than a full-time, in-home stay as booked. She agreed to cancel, but refused to issue any refund and then blocked me on Rover when I followed up. I contacted Rover Support, provided camera evidence and message documentation, and thankfully they handled the situation professionally and helped resolve it. Overall, I was extremely disappointed. I trusted this sitter based on her positive reviews and confident communication during our initial meeting, but the service I received was not even close to what was promised. My dogs were left alone for long stretches, their feeding and play schedules were not followed, and the lack of transparency and professionalism—especially blocking me after asking for my money back—was unacceptable. I truly wanted this to work and even went out of my way to make her comfortable by leaving her favorite snacks, spa masks, and detailed instructions for the dogs. Unfortunately, this experience almost ruined my trip and left me scrambling to find help from friends and neighbors since I was over 6 hours away. I would strongly caution anyone booking a full-time, live-in stay with this sitter. She might be suitable for quick drop-in visits, but I would not recommend trusting her with an extended stay or situations that require consistency and accountability.

Emma did a great job. We felt very comfortable leaving our dogs in her care. She did a great job communicating with us and took the time to really get to know our dogs. We will continue to use Emma in the future.
