About: I had a black lab for eight wonderful years, caring for her and ensuring her happiness until she passed away a couple of years ago. Since then, I’ve gained experience walking and pet-sitting for friends' pets, providing them with love, attention, and exercise. As a flight student at WMU graduating this fall, I have a flexible schedule with plenty of free time. Balancing my studies and part-time work allows me to dedicate my days to pet care. I’m eager to help others by walking their dogs or pet-sitting, ensuring pets receive the attention and exercise they need while I enjoy spending time with them. About: I’ve had several pets and worked with livestock over the years. Pepper was our family pet, a Border Collie I trained as a puppy. I cared for Murdoc, a 50lb German Shepherd mix, into his senior years. In 2017, I rescued Circe, a pint-sized black cat, and in 2021, Joey, my sweet senior beagle boy. I feel like I’ve done it all: thorns in the paw, administering meds, emergencies, play time, treat time, training, long walks, car rides, cleaning messes, and more! I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I do venture out sometimes, but keep it to four hours maximum. I'm more of a night owl, so I prefer drop-offs after 10am and can accommodate pickups as late as 1:30am. If you need to arrange a drop-off earlier than 10am, need to book without two weeks notice, or I’m unavailable at the start or end of your booking, feel free to message me—I'm happy to see if we can work something out. I only book one dog at a time through Rover. However, I may also be caring for additional dogs through my LLC. If you're booking with me for the first time on Rover, please note that there may be other dogs in my home, other than my own, during your pet’s stay. These dogs are not new to my home—they’re regulars who have been properly vetted and are low- to medium-energy. Your pet is my priority ✨ I am attentive to details, so when a new furry friend comes over, I keep a close watch on how they're adjusting to their new temporary environment. I'm excellent at picking up on even the smallest signs they give off and base my care accordingly to ensure they're feeling comfy right from the start. I have a dog and cat at home and will care for your pet as though it were part of the fam! I have advanced education in communication, so I strive to be transparent about what is going on with your pet, and I expect the same from you before booking. Every pet has quirks, whether your pup needs lots of cuddles or some space to chill, I make it my mission to ensure your pup feels safe, happy, and like they're on vacation during their stay!

About: Hi my name is Christie and I am a huge Animal Lover! To me, dogs and cats aren’t just animals they are lifelong companions. 💕 I have many years of experience caring for a multitude of animals (30+ to be exact). As a kid, we had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds you name it. In high school, I worked for a groomer and learned a lot about how to properly care for different animals. I've always had a passion for rescuing because of my mom and her love of rescuing/saving animals in need of a home. It’s something that she passed down to me. RIP Momma I Miss You! ❤️‍🩹 My philosophy is that every animal deserves to know what love is in its fullest form so that is what I strive to provide to each and every animal in my care. I just recently lost our two oldest rescues dogs named Romeo and our Wheaton Terrier named Hayley. Oh and let us not forget our very outspoken Torti cat named Nala whom we loved dearly. So we rescued our beautiful cat Bella and most recently a sweet 4 month old puppy named Nova. They are my furrkids, my companions, my therapy animals, and my little loves. As a self-employed cosmetologist I am blessed with a flexible schedule which allows me the opportunity to be here to help care for your pet companions in the best ways possible. I am flexible and I am open to helping when & where I’m needed. I have references I can provide from those whose animals I have cared for previously that I will happily provide. Exercise is important to me so we like to spend time taking the animals we care for on long walks or hikes, swimming, or to the park to chase a ball or frisbee. I strive to give them the love and play time that they deserve. 🫶🏻 I am currently self-employed so I’ll have lots of time to dedicate to your furbaby/furbabies. I’m dedicated to making sure your pet feels loved and accepted in our home. I have two friendly dogs who will give your furbaby lots of playtime fun. “Natalie is incredibly self-possessed, which creates a sense a calmness around her that Greta reacted to right away. From all the updates she sent, I could tell my girl was relaxed and just being welcomed to be herself. It was clear from the photos provided that Natalie was getting right on her level and that Greta felt secure. I was late droping-off and picking up, but Natalie was so flexible, which I greatly appreciated. I'm really looking forward to seeing Greta get even more comfortable there, and it just felt like the right fit. I really trusted that Natalie would use good judgement if any issues were to arise, and they actually live a couple doors down from a vet. I could tell Natalie was confident in this role, my dog felt safe and cared for, and I could enjoy my time knowing that she was in capable hands. Greta was so calm when I picked her up, when normally she seems a little frantic to be back with me (even at my mom's)-- if you're looking for a chill place for your pet to feel at ease, this is it. Natalie also asked a lot of important questions when I dropped off Greta which made it clear she was thinking ahead and trying to create an environment that my girl could be happy in. I'm so appreciative of Natalie's considerate approach.”

About: I am an avid dog and cat lover that wants to live vicariously through your pet. I'm a full-time social worker whose career is caring for people in community. However, my passion doesn't stop there. I also love animals! I was born and raised with cats and dogs throughout my whole life. When caring for your dog or cat I treat them with love and care as if they were my own. I love giving lots of ear scratches and belly rubs along with taking them outdoors on walks. About: I used to work as a vet tech while getting my undergraduate degree in animal science. I spent a full summer running my own doggy daycare and have worked in boarding facilities as well. I have experience grooming, giving medication, and plenty of experience with loving on animals!! My home has two dogs who love to snuggle and play, and I would love to care for your pet too! I am working from home currently, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I set my own schedule, so I can have flexibility with pick-up/drop-off. I have a giant crate (big enough for a great dane) and a small one (big enough for a beagle), but I also don’t mind uncrated dogs. My two dogs will be crated separately when I am not home, unless owner requests their dog have a buddy. Dogs are allowed on furniture and can sleep in the bed if that’s their norm. I have a large fenced in yard.

About: I am used to dealing with cats and dogs of all sizes and nature. I have pet sat and house sat for friends and family. I have a free weekly schedule with lots of flexibility. I am available to any strange hours or days. I love animals and make time. I am always respectful of each houses rule and maintain boundaries with the animals without being harsh. Always clean after myself and never leave a mess.

About: I've cared for all breeds and sizes of cats, dogs and various other creatures in my life since I was a child. I am trauma informed, science backed, and consent based in everything I do. I am force free/fear free. I don’t use any aversives with any animal. I follow the most up to date animal science and firmly believe that through positive reinforcement and giving animals agency to opt in or out of most situations is the best way to be in relationship with them. I have been caring for animals professionally since 2019, and am very passionate about animal care and am excited to get to know you and your fur babes! My first love was a husky mix named Dutchess. I was a rough and tumble three-year-old and she looked like a furry loaf of bread with rolled up newspapers for legs, who never let me out of her sight until the day she crossed over the rainbow bridge. And thus began my love affair with pretty much all animals. Each pet has their own unique personality and style. I adapt to your pet's needs and wants. If they want cuddles, if they want space, if they want to run around in the back yard and play catch or tug-o-war then that is what we are going to do! My aim is to make them and you, happy with the stellar care they are being given.
