“Katelyn is so reliable. She came the day before and met the doggies and they loved her!! Kate stopped in and fed my doggies dinner and let them out to potty. She sent me 12 pictures and was so good to both of my Aussies. They trust her and I trust her. We will be booking with Katelyn again!”

“Jennifer was really great - she sat for our dog and three cats while we were out of town and was very consistent for the drop-in visits, and communicated regularly. No issues, much appreciation. 😊”

“Dawn was available super last minute due to a family emergency and I am so grateful that she was able to watch my kitties. Each time she takes care of them they are more and more comfortable with her. Thanks so much ☀️🩷”

She asked questions if necessary for clarification and provided pictures with every visit!! We didn't worry for a minute about the care being given to the kitties! We certainly hope she is available the next time we need her!”

About: I have been taking care of different pets all my life. My friends and relatives relied on me.I love spending time, playing with dogs and cats. We are currently both working.but different schedules so one of will be home to care for you fur baby.we are excited to see and care for your babies. We have a fenced in yard for your fur baby to run and play it's safe, fun and a great place for your loved one.

About: I adore pups of all shapes and sizes. I have extensive experience with all types of breed from minis to giant breeds as well as all ages from literally days old to seniors in their late teens In addition to dogs I also have experience with cats, chickens, rabbits, fish, goats and horses. I spent 18 months running a barn, taking care of 17 horses and the farm cats. In addition to my own pets at the time- two rabbits and a rescue cat. Since moving back to Florida I have managed to acquire more rescue cats I also have extensive first aid knowledge and am capable of giving oral or topical medications as well as intramuscular injections I now work in a vet’s office My current work schedule is 7:45am-6pm Monday- Wednesday & Friday. I also work 7:45am-12:30pm every other Saturday. So unfortunately my time during the week is limited and my availability would be best suited to older, lower energy dogs I unfortunately can not have any animals at my home. However, I find that staying in a more familiar environment is often less stressful for the animals. I treat every animal I care for as if they are my own- always following feeding instructions to the letter, ensuring constant access to fresh water, facilitating adequate and suitable play/exercise, as well as giving lots of snuggles. I have medical training and can assess injuries and treat minor wounds as well as stabilize for transportation if needed

From grey hounds, & german sheperds, to maincoons & dachshunds, 1-5 dogs/cats at a time, kittens/puppies to blind elderly dogs and cats, i have experience with all. As a college student my availability is a little more open than the average 9-5 worker. Im able to pet-sit, walk, feed, and play with your pets. Cleaning litter boxes, properly feeding them in a timely manner, giving medications if needed, playing with your animals, and showing them affection, are just a few examples of how i care for animals.
About: Hello! My name is Patricia, and I love animals of all kinds. I’ve always had dogs ever since I could remember and have had them over 30 years during my adult life. I’ve had and taken care of chihuahuas, bull mastiffs, Jack Russell terriers, German Shepherds, an American Bull dog and the good ole “Heinz 57 dogs”! I’ve also owned a beautiful rainbow Brazilian Boa and a few cats. I feel pets are very much part of the family and deserve to be treated as such. My work schedule allows me free time during the week days to walk and care for your cherished furry kids. I can also provide care in the evenings and overnight, if needed. I’m passionate about providing the best care and will prioritize the safety and well-being of your cherished pets. I will follow your instructions as well as ensure your pets are provided the best care and attention. I prefer to care for up to only 2 pets at a time so I may provide them the love, care, and attention they deserve.

About: I’ve been looking after my grandmas Doberman and Husky/German Shepherd mix for about two years as well as other friends’ dogs from Golden Retrievers to Cavaliers. My household also has a Doberman and my own Cavalier. I’ve raised 3 of my dog’s Cavalier puppies until about 3 months old. I know my way around big and little dogs, I am athletic and willing to walk for extended periods of time, and I have much experience around animals of all kinds. I work a small job from Tuesdays through Thursdays in the afternoon. Tuesdays I’m not available after 3:00, Wednesdays I work only an hour around 5-6, Thursdays are 6-8. I have a fenced area for when animals need to be taken out. I’m very comfortable crating or keeping dogs out, whatever the client prefers. I’m also very comfortable around big dogs, and have no problem handling any dog that seems too strong or uncontrollable.
About: As a lifetime dog and cat owner, I know the feeling of wishing you could do more for your pets. From volunteering at an animal shelter growing up to having a 60 pound hound, I am confident that I can provide your pet with great care. I work full time, from home and am able to make runs to homes for doggy potty breaks or longer visits. Early mornings are great and anytime after 3:00 I will always be available. I will be a companion for your animal, a friend. Being respectful of client’s houses is my top priority. While I don’t have a fence, I know many great walks in the are to excite your pet. I am working full time from home, making my schedule extremely flexible for pet care. Early mornings or late evenings all will work with my schedule. I will ensure gates are locked/ closed prior to letting pups out, if applicable. It is important to me that your pet has plenty of water in this Florida heat. The details are important to me.
About: My husband and I have been doing Rover for over three years now! We previously lived in NC. I’ve owned dogs/cats until old age and have been around animals my whole life. I have a 9 year old lab, and adopted a 8 year old pug through dog sitting on this app. And finally we joined the Frenchie gang as well. I love animals and would love to help with your needs. If you are in need of care and it says I am not available, just message me and I will see what I can do, my preferences on here I have set just to avoid driving certain distances (gas prices) but we could possibly work something out, don’t hesitate to reach out! Also, for safety purposes we do not take in intact males or in heat females because my boy Remi is also intact. We apologize for the inconvenience but safety for everyone comes first! I do prefer pick ups/drop offs/meet and greets for my husband to be present for safety purposes, so if I ask if times can be modified I apologize, it’s to accommodate to when he will be home! Our pups occupy their end of the house, yours can occupy the rest! Safety comes first for me so let me know your preferences. However you care for your pet in your home, if applicable I will do the same if needed. I understand dogs need routine to avoid stress. *PLEASE NOTE!!! If you have a male dog that is not neutered, he will be kept SEPARATE. In some cases or most cases we still possibly will decline the sit if it will be difficult to keep separate. I understand it is hard to find care because our male is also not neutered so I want to make it easier for people like us! So please understand that it is for both of the dog’s safety and peace.

If early morning timing is important for your pets, please read this full review. Jennifer was very kind overall and loving towards our pets. She took great care of our pets over 4 nights with 3 drop in visits per day and we came home to happy, healthy animals. One thing to note is that morning visits were consistently later than scheduled (about 1–1.5 hours late), which extended the overnight gap between visits. If your pets need a strict schedule, it’s worth discussing timing expectations in advance.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
