“Elizabeth was excellent and very attentive with our dogs, and her communication was great throughout. She was also kind enough to modify our booking with no cancellation fee when we returned from our trip early. We will 100% book her again.”

“Pondz is a wonderful dog sitter. She is punctual, dependable, flexible, has great communication and our dog seemed to enjoy the extra lovings with each visit. I like that she takes pictures and provides a narrative of the visit. We are very pleased. And, if we go out of town again then we will definitely reach out to Pondz again. Thank you for your time and efforts.”

“Jessica did an excellent job! We hired her for 5 hours and to give our dog a bath. She was very prepared and asked all the right questions. If we need a sitter again we will surely call Jessica. Big thumbs up!”

“Ashleh is so loving and patient! I have a big doggy with anxiety and an old grumpy chihuahua and she knew exactly how to love for both of them and gain their trust. Excited to have Ashleh as our permanent sitter!”

About: I've had my main sqeeze for 11 years now. He is full blooded GSD. I raised him from 8 weeks. He is my heart, soul, and mind. He now has a son im also raising, which is now 2 years old. I have a true passion for fur babies, so its easy to connect to them. Im trusted and very informative when it comes down to drop ins and walks or any other needs, by sending real time photos and videos so you can see and be informed. Im flexible and can also chat via text or call before booking. I live Close to Richmond hill, and Pooler. Your babies will be in good, trusted hands! Im currently in between jobs being Active Duty Military and just need something to keep busy and engaged. Im free most days, that is until I start back at work. So, future unknown lol 😆 Safety is 1st and foremost to me. My goal is to always make sure they are taken care of and safe. If there are any specific issues or needs, Ive got you covered.
“Sarah was perfect, she kept us very updated, sent plenty of pictures and videos. Our cat is very shy, and she made an effort to try to get Maya to play. Literally the best and easiest experience I’ve had with a Rover sitter. I’d give her even more stars if possible! Thaaaaank you Sara!”

“Angel was awesome with my girls and quickly warmed up to her. She offered a meet up prior to booking and was flexible enough for an extra drop in on the day it was requested. Plus reasonable drop in costs. Would absolutely book again”

“Gabrielle was great, I wish I could give more stars! It was last minute as we couldn't take our Dior on our trip, so I was really worried as we had never left her with anyone before. But Gabrielle put our minds at ease while on vacation. She also kept great communication with us!! I would definitely be booking with her again!!”

About: I’ve helped raise and take care of dogs since I was 10 or so. We’ve had several litters of puppies that we had to raise and get rehomed as well as various animals to include cats, dogs, and smaller animals like guinea pigs and hamsters. Each animal has its own personality and that makes working with them so special. I have flexibility to stop in the middle of the day during the work week to check in on your pet and provide the care needed on a daily basis. I also have open availability on the weekends and evenings to check in as needed. I try to treat each animal how I would like my animals to be treated. They are alive and have personalities that should be tailored to the approach you give the pets. That’s my philosophy.
“Julie did a great job taking care of my 2 kittens! She was so quick to respond, despite being a last minute service, and she was willing to help me in any way to ensure they received any necessary care. Would recommend Julie!”

“Bayla was phenomenal with our whole pack! She followed their routine and even helped training the newest edition to the pack! Our dogs loved her. We would happily recommend her services to anyone and hope to book with her again in the future!”

About: Growing up I balanced taking care of two childhood dogs. I’ve had dogs since I was 11 years old. Currently, I have a two year old golden doodle with my wife. I am an avid runner and will run your dogs however far and long you desire! I can make a custom workout portfolio for your dog. I work full time in the Army during the week. I am available both Saturdays and Sundays, unless I am field training. I can work some federal holidays I have off. I have a friendly golden doodle that loves company. I take her to the dog park and on walks multiple times a week to stay active.

“Alexis was wonderful! I’m very pleased with her communication—she kept me informed and gave me such peace of mind while I was away. She took great care of Noah and Mercy, and it truly showed. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: *Booked Monday-Fridays 11-11:30am* I’ve watched family and friends animals over the years. I’m dependable and always feel bad leaving the animals alone. I’ve taken care of my diabetic cat for 13 years, at one point having to give her daily shots so I understand how much work and love goes into our animals. My sister also has a golden, who is full of energy and loves to snuggle. Aunty duties were big when we lived close to each other! I’d hope a daily walk or visit would help cheer them up when owners have to go to work, vacation, etc. I’m practically always in town so feel free to reach out to find out more info/availability!! I’m currently unemployed. I recently quit my job to be able to have more downtime and get rid of a lot of stress so this is a transition time for me! I think it is important to always keep a dog on a leash in any open environment that other dogs or people may be. It’s important to pay attention to your animals to see how they react towards different environments. It’s always important to just show them love too!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Midway. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
