About: We're a husband-and-wife team who spent nearly 20 years with four beloved adopted pets, all with their own quirks, personalities and needs. In another life, Laura worked in veterinary hospitals and emergency care with plans of becoming a veterinarian. Life ultimately took her in another direction, but the love of animals stuck – and our own pets taught us plenty, too. Especially Winston. He came to us after a really tough start, fearful and reactive to just about everything. With the help of veterinarians and positive reinforcement–based trainers – and a whole lot of patience, play and love – he became the sweetest snuggler, constant shadow and one of the great loves of our lives. Now after saying goodbye to the last of our four, the house is just too quiet. We're not ready for new pets yet, but we miss that presence only an animal can bring. So, for now, we'd love to borrow yours. You get to travel knowing they're loved and well cared for, and we get the walks, cuddles and ridiculous personalities we've been missing. One of us works from home, and the other is home frequently, so your dog will have lots of company throughout the day and rarely be left alone. Our schedules are flexible, making it easy to accommodate your dog's usual meals, medications, bathroom breaks, walks and bedtime routine. We know how much pets rely on the little rhythms they're used to at home... We have no resident pets and welcome dogs from just one household at a time, so your dog(s) won't be sharing our home with unfamiliar animals. This can be especially great for dogs who are anxious, selective with other dogs, accustomed to being the only pet, or just simply more comfortable in a quieter environment. We both come from long careers in biotech, where safety and attention to detail are second nature. We bring that same mindset to caring for your dog – from medications and feeding instructions to gates, walks, weather, household hazards and the little things unique to your pet. Every new dog starts with a meet-and-greet so we can all get comfortable with one another before you travel. We want to understand what makes your dog feel safe, comfortable and at home – and we'll never push them into activities or situations that aren't right for them.

About: I have loved and cared for dogs and cats my entire life, and I’m especially drawn to shy, timid, or nervous pets who may need extra patience. I have a calm, non-intimidating approach and enjoy earning an animal’s trust through kindness, affection, and consistency. I’m comfortable walking, bathing, brushing and grooming pets, and animals in my care are treated like family and welcome throughout my home. I’m also very comfortable with senior pets and understand that they may need a slower pace, extra attention, and lots of reassurance. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals is something I truly enjoy. I love spending time with them, whether we’re walking, playing, relaxing together, or just keeping each other company. I’m happy to give each pet the time and attention they need and will follow their normal routine as closely as possible. I can he as active as you want me to be, including hiking, going to parks, anywhere you like! I can also stay at home if your dog has low energy or special needs. “Our dogs are still puppies — not fully potty trained and definitely very energetic — so caring for them can be challenging, especially in a new environment. Rover was really our last chance to attend an important family event, and we are incredibly grateful to Darline and Richard for taking on this not-so-easy task with such kindness and patience. Charlie and Ellie were very well cared for and came home happy and safe. We truly appreciated the updates, care, and understanding they received. About: Since I was a child I have had pets in my life. I am an animal lover of all types. I have cared for fish, hamsters, gerbals, cats, dogs, even reptiles. I have helped family and friends with there pets, and have a good sense of how to undertand whatvthey need. I can bath, groom, give haircuts, and feed them if and when needed. I am willing to open my home to assist families in need. I do have a full.time job, but also have family who are all wonderful and willing to help where it is needed. I am the main care taker, I make sure to work my schedule around the best interest of the pet I am caring for. Your pet will never truly be alone. About: Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. As a lifelong dog lover and work-from-home professional, I’ve created a cozy, peaceful space where pups can feel right at home while their humans are away. I only host one dog at a time (unlike many petsitters), so your pup will be treated like family and get my full attention (and all the belly rubs they deserve). I specialize in anxious pups who do not like being with other dogs and do not like being alone - I keep my pup clients as close as they like and give them as much attention as they prefer. My husband and I have two children, 8 and 10 years old, who are very gentle and loving with dogs. We treat our guest pups like they were are own while they’re with us! All our doggy guests are welcome to make themselves at home—on the couch, in the sunny spots, wherever they’re happiest, I do not confine them to one room/zone of the house - no pet gates here! I have a large, unfenced backyard with a dog run for zoomies and potty breaks and we love getting out for walks too. I also have experience with senior dogs and administering medications, so if your pup needs a little extra TLC, they’re in good hands. If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy home-away-from-home where your dog will be loved and spoiled, I’d love to be their sitter! Please note: unfortunately we have an allergy in our home to short-haired shedding dogs and can only accept long-haired (hypoallergenic) dogs :) I'm home all day to spend time with your pup and treat them like they were my own! My goal is to make your dog feel like they’re still at home, ensuring they experience joy and companionship until you return. I will send regular updates and photos to reassure you that your furry friend is thriving and enjoying their time. We have a large un-fenced backyard with a run hooked-up for your pup to spend lots of time outside. We also love to take walks down our street and at the local park. If your pup has some leash aggression with other dogs, we can walk them in our large private backyard to ensure they get exercise but without the stress other dogs may cause. If they’re house trained they do not need to be crated unless it’s their preference. In the house, I allow our doggy friends on furniture (unless you specify otherwise) and in all rooms of my home. They will not be separated in a different room or crated, unless you specify otherwise.
