Michelle was amazing and accommodating, went to my home after maintenence unlocked my place, cleaned up the mess my stressed out old man kitty made in a tub because he was alone for 4 days. Took care of him and the other 3 at the last minute for a week so I didn't have to leave my job (loose my job) and fly home. I was the most stressed out I'd been in years! I work full time from 8:00am to 5:00pm on the east side of Albuquerque. I am completely comfortable staying in your home and will generally remain there unless I’m running to the store or heading to grab something for dinner. Depending on the proximity of your home to my employer I may be able to conduct afternoon drop in visits. Early morning feeding or medication schedules are no problem! While at your home your pets safety is my first priority. I will never leave your pet unattended in the yard and make a habit of checking gates and fences while we’re outside. I will never open the front door in a manner that could allow a pet to escape and will not invite any unauthorized guests or my personal pets into your home. I like to provide picture updates to you throughout the stay so you can rest easy knowing your pets are happy and healthy. I do prefer to have written care instructions to reference so I make sure I’m taking the best possible care of your pets.

About: I’ve always had a variety of pets in my house. Growing up my family cared for dogs, turtles, fish, hamsters, frogs, hermit crabs, and chickens. We never owned a cat because my mom is allergic to them but since I moved in with my auntie during university, I have lived with one and have loved it! With my grandma, we currently have 6 dogs! We had two (a chihuahua mixed with poodle and another mixed dog) who are the parents of the other four. I was the only one in my house present when my doggy gave birth to all her babies and I was more than excited to be there with her :) I’m a full-time university student at NMSU. I made this account because I plan to be available everyday during my breaks. This might change for a couple of days but I’m not sure yet. Since I will be on break I also plan to be available nights and weekends. My dogs are family dogs and live outside. I don’t have a house of my own but live with my grandma and mom along with my three siblings and one cousin. The dogs are cared for amongst all family members.

About: I've been taking care of cats and dogs since I was a kid. My family always had animals growing up. For a long time, we had 2 dogs and 3 cats. Now I have an old grumpy dog who I take care of with my partner, Jo. Our dog now is a Great Pyrenees and Alaskan Malamute mix. When I lived with my parents, I helped them look after a Swiss Mountain dog and a beagle mix. Before that we had Lab/Rottweiler mix- so I'm pretty good with dogs of all sizes! I've also grown up with all sorts of cats and love them just as much as dogs! I just finished my masters and am taking a break, so my schedule is routinely free! There will certainly be days where I have plans, but be it giving your dogs a potty break or spending the night to take care of some animals, I will most likely be free to do so! I'll be sure to send pictures of your fur-baby throughout the time I'm taking care of them so you know your fluffy buddy is happy, safe, and having a good time.

About: My whole life I've been surrounded by pets. I was born into a house with a bird and 2 dogs, but once I turned 5 I had convinced my mother to bring home a cat from the grocery store after absolutely falling in love. Years down the line I moved and eventually had 4 dogs that I walked, played with, fed, bathed and mostly took care of myself. With time I moved in with my brother to help him take care of his house with 11 guinea pigs, 3 cats, and a leopard gecko! Once I turned 18 I was finally able to adopt my own cat, and since then I have adopted another one and who brings me so much joy. I love all animals and will take care of yours like my own! I am free everyday, weekdays and weekends! I am willing to change my schedule around to fit your needs as Rover is my main focus at the moment! Safety is always my number one priority. I do my best to keep my eyes on pets at all times to make sure they're not doing something they're not supposed to or getting into things they aren't supposed to. For walks I will never just lazily hold onto the leash, instead I'll be prepared like they can run off in any second. When I feed pets I watch them to make sure they don't eat too fast and throw up, and try to encourage them to drink water as well as check to see if they need to go to the bathroom when they're done. If I'm watching a pet and they show any sign of distress it's of immediate concern to me and I will be contacting the parents, as well as a vet if needed. If you entrust me to take care of your pet I will ensure they receive the best care possible until their favorite people get home! :)
