About: I have a passion for animals and helping those who need their pet to have company. I have the kids who can make sure they get lots of play time and cuddles. And a middle aged golden retriever to have a friend to play with too I am a stay at home mom who will be so happy to watch your dogs. I am available Monday through Sunday and the time is flexible. Our yard is fenced in so they can be let out anytime. We do have fenced in chickens a d ducks. We also have our own dog a golden retriever as well as a rescue fenchie who would love a friend to play with.
“Lauren was super responsive and took great care of our very energetic 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd. Our dog was very well cared for and happy with two daily walks and feeding. I recommend Lauren and give her 5 stars for a green job.”

“I’m so grateful to have found someone I not only trust, but more importantly, that my dog trusts. My pup can be protective of his home, and Heather built trust with him right from the start. She took the time to understand his personality and made each visit a chance to build confidence, have fun, and sneak in a little training too. Now he waits by the door and watches out the window hoping Heather will be back soon! She’s incredibly communicative, lighthearted, and just so easy to work with. Finding someone who genuinely cares and connects like this is rare, and I can’t recommend her enough.”

“For our first time using rover we were very pleased with Cari and the services provided. I felt comfortable with leaving my animals in her care. All her visits were right at the time agreed upon and the dogs were well taken care of with updates at every drop in.”

“Christina was lovely with our two cats and even provided medication and let us know when we had an ant problem while we are gone! Great sitter who loves animals! 🐈⬛🐾🖤”

“Amber is a life saver! She is super flexible, responds quickly and is very considerate about how we raise and train our pup. We have used Amber’s services several times this month and we’re very happy with the care she provides. Boba is always very excited (and relieved) when she visits!”

“Michael was great with my cat and dog. My dog had separation anxiety issues and let me know whenever she did do a little damage and gave her a walk to help her. He was very attentive with their needs. I would use him again!”

“Arnie was fabulous! My dogs love him and feel comfortable to let him in the house without us being there. He did a great job take care of the babies. Will book with him again when we need it!”

“Patten was a God send, since I had to pull last minute shifts with the wife being away for work. Daisy took to her so well and she really made sure to keep Daisy company and not just feed her take her out and leave for the day. She truly cared enough to play with Daisy and make sure that she ate all her food before she would take her out. Again cannot be more grateful how helpful and caring she was to Daisy.”

“Thanks Teri! You did a terrific job! I would highly recommend Teri to watch your pets. From the first time she met my boys they took a liking to her and I could tell they were going to be friends. I don’t like to leave my pets with just anyone, they mean to much to me, but I will leave them with Teri anytime! Thanks again Teri!!”

“Leah was a great cat-sitter! Very easy to work with, she made fast-friends with our cat, sent us reassuring updates each day, even a picture of his litter box (as only a pet owner would appreciate!) We felt very good being away while knowing that she was taking care of our little bundle of furry fun. I will definitely be using Leah again in the future! Thank you Leah!!!”

“Kirsten did an excellent job. Responded to any question I had. We felt comfortable having her in our house. We had a good time while away, and did not worry about our kitties care.”

About: There's nothing more frustrating than having to board your dog when away from your house. I know because I have the same problem. My Achilles has separation anxiety. I want someone with him; to walk and talk to him; to take care of him like I would. That's why I'm here. I currently have two very well behaved dogs, Achilles (4 1/2) and Mocha (12). They are literally the light of my life. I rescued Mocha from the ASPCA and I consider Achilles a rescue as well. He was going to be sold to some undesirable people. I have a part time job. I work 24 hours a week and only for 6 hours at a time, so your pup wont be alone for long. I know how hard it is thinking about when someone will be there... No worries. I'll be there. I'll make sure doors are shut and your pets are secured before I leave. I'll even feed your other animals. All I need is instruction! :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 748 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Mercersville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mercersville. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
