About: Been in love with dogs and cats all my life. Animals have always been something I’m passionate about and love doing. I have been an animal care specialist at Monte vista small animal hospital for 2years and I’ve worked hands on with pets for 5 years now and loved every second of it. I am currently Vet technician certified and have medicate, treated, and cared for patients for 2.5years now at Valley Animal Hospital. I welcome big dogs. I work well with nervous dogs due to my trustworthy spirit and I am up to any challenge thrown at me. 😊🫶🏼 Your furbabies are always most comfortable at home. I am currently working a full time job at a vet clinic but available to do drop in or be there for feedings. My schedule varies every week but I am very good at time management. I have been trusted deeply with show dogs, medical dogs, and high anxiety dogs. I do anything I can to make your pet feel comfortable and happy. I offer treats, toys, attention, and attentive supervision. Dogs warm up to me pretty quickly.

However taking care of your pets and home will fall perfectly into my day. Anytime I would be returning to my home, I would be happy to go to yours and take care of your fluffy friends. I have no problem with any sized animal. I will play fetch, go on walks, brush, and play with your dogs. Clean your cats space, provide them company, feed and play with them. I am comfortable crating any animals if needed. Animals are a huge passion of mine and ill spend every moment making sure they are happy and healthy while I am looking after them.

About: I’ve had the joy of owning and caring for both dogs and cats over the years, giving me hands on experience with pets of different ages, personalities, and needs. I understand that every pet is unique, and I always strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. With dogs, I have experience raising one since he was a puppy, so I’m familiar with the patience, consistency, and attention they need as they grow. I have experience with daily walks, maintaining feeding schedules, and keeping dogs safe during walks by being mindful of things like hot pavement with this summer weather. Additionally, I taught my dog fun tricks including “sit” and “paw,” which Im willing to teach if wanted. I have even more experience with cats, having cared for my own cat for over three years as well as multiple kittens and stray cats. Through this experience, I’ve learned to recognize their different personalities, respect their boundaries, and provide the care and affection they need to feel comfortable. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply having someone to keep them company, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I’d give my own pets. My goal is for both you and your furry family member to feel comfortable and worry free while you’re apart. Im a third year student at the University of California, Merced. I was on Rover back in the Bay Area and am hoping to continue this work here in Merced. I will have classes, but also a lot of free time that I’m hoping to fill with pet care. Feel free to reach out to see if I’m available! Please feel free to let me know before I care for your pet if you have any special requests, routines, or precautions you’d like me to follow. My goal is to make sure your pet feels as safe, comfortable, and loved as possible while you’re away. For example, if they have specific feeding or medication schedules, need extra patience around new people or other animals, have favorite toys or walking routes, or have any other unique preferences, I’d be more than happy to accommodate them. Every pet is different, and I’m committed to providing the personalized care they deserve.
“Kirsten is always professional, reliable, and kind. She never hesitates to communicate and ask questions if necessary. We have used her before for housesitting and this visit was drop in only. As always, she was wonderful and we know this because our dogs don't even get up when we get home. They're so chill after she leaves. It's a blessing to have her and feel that our pups are happy with her.”

“Kimberly was super wonderful! We had to book last second after someone had canceled on us. She was able to come meet our boy. She kept us up to date on how he was doing and went above and beyond with taking care of him. Will definitely be using her as a sitter for our boy again!”

About: I’ve had pets ever since I was born! I have experience taking care of cats and dogs. Playing, walks, bathing, feeding, or even giving medications. I usually work either M-W or W-F, so I have a lot of free time! I am free two days during the week and weekends. My apartment doesn’t allow pets, so I am more than willing to go the client’s home. I am respectful and considerate of other’s places and privacy. I am also great at reading instructions or guides for pets.
“Emonne is great! We have two elderly dogs with specific needs for pet sitting and she accommodated all of them. One of our dogs is never welcoming of new people in our house, but was totally comfortable with her instantly and didn’t bark at all! Emonne is detailed, communicated what she was doing, and sent pictures to keep us updated. We felt instantly at ease our dogs were well taken care of and highly recommend her.”

“Taylor and Brian were lovely and did daily drop ins with my two cats. They spent plenty of time loving and playing with the cats. I got daily updates on how the cats were fairing and anything that seemed amiss. I definitely trust them with invested and true caring of pets.”

“We made our booking on very short notice and Eve was kind enough to accept. We are very grateful for her daily Rover report on our sweet Jenna as well as it seemed she even made her a puzzle that I had briefly mentioned that I would make ahead of time but was not able to as time got away from me. Thank you, Eve!”

We needed pet sitting for our shy senior pup Chloe for 2 separate days & Angelica turned out to be the perfect fit. She was friendly & sweet to her during the 30-min visits, & also respected her energy! We left instructions for feeding, going outside & for hanging out & Angelica followed it perfectly. She also helped clean up our pup's accidental pee inside the house. We hope to book her services in the future when we need a sitter again!

Danielle has reliably been our go-to cat sitter for years and just keeps being such a wonderful option to have our cats in our home while we are not. We know every time that we will miss our cats much more than our cats miss us. They trust Danielle with more than just their food: they are so comfortable with her and the photos she sends are so sweet and comforting. We couldn't recommend Danielle more highly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
