Before sitting someone’s pet, it’s important for me to know a few key things to ensure their comfort and safety. I always ask about their daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medical needs or medications they might have. I also want to know how they behave around other pets and people, if they have any fears or triggers (like loud noises or being left alone), and what their favorite activities or toys are. It’s helpful to know their potty habits, crate training status, and any commands they know. Most of all, I want to understand what makes them feel safe and loved so I can care for them just like you would!

When I watch pets, I love to make sure they have a fun and enriching time! Depending on the pet’s personality and energy level, we’ll play games like fetch, tug-of-war, or chase in my large fenced backyard. For pets who enjoy the outdoors, I’ll take them on walks around the neighborhood or let them safely explore and sniff to their heart’s content. Inside, they can lounge with us on the couch (I use pet-friendly covers), enjoy some cuddle time, or play with toys.
