One of the hardest things regarding covid for me had been not being able to greet and pet strangers’ dogs during walks and I have to say I just love when I meet an off leash youngin’ who misbehaves and jumps on me and tries to play :) I do not have professional dog experience however I have been walking and caring for family dogs since I was 7 years old. I love them ! I currently am a proud pet mom to a 3 year old Bernese mix dog and a 6 year old coon mix cat. Dogs (and more recently cats) bring so much joy to my life and I would love to take your fur babies either by checking in on them during the day or house sitting for them in the comfort of your home (provided you have reliable internet or they are ok left alone during the day). We really appreciated Deborah’s daily updates on Sam and how he was doing. It really made us feel that he was well being taken care of.
I’ve never met someone more passionate and in love with every dog she meets... she has dogsit for me many times, and she absolutely loves it and our Golden Doodle loves her!

In your home it is easier since you know your pet so it will already be pet safe. I will listen carefully and abide by your instructions so not to introduce any potential issues. I am a stickler for the pet owner’s rules!

If your dog or cat has special needs or have any behavioural problems I would like to know in advance in order to be prepared. For example if they lung or growl at other dogs or doesn’t listen well. If they are generally a nervous pet etc. I adjust accordingly . I have no issue with dogs misbehaving and jumping on me but I like to know what to expect! Same applies to cats ! A lot of this can be determined when I first meet you. I will either come to your house or to a public setting and meet your pet to make sure it’s a right fit for everyone

I love to go on walks and visit the dog park. If I’m allowed I also have homemade treats. We can play ball, snuggle, whatever your dog or cat enjoys

I work from home and have a flexible schedule . I follow the schedule of the pet owner and if I am unable to accommodate I will let them know prior to agreeing to pet sit or not.
