“Jackie did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats, Tama (our senior cat) and Zero, while we were away for two days. She was reliable, attentive, and made sure both of them were well cared for. We really appreciated her updates, which gave us peace of mind knowing our cats were in great hands. Tama and Zero were happy and relaxed when we got back, which says a lot!”

“Great caretaker and communicator. It was a pleasure to have Vanessa help us while we were away. Our very skittish dogs were so comfortable with our new friends Vanessa, which is rare! Happy to rehire in the near future! Thank you Vanessa.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life ranging from Pomeranians to Labradors. I have also worked at veterinary clinics, dog daycares and animal shelters. I have experience providing care to both puppies and senior dogs, as well as taking care of medical needs for special cases in both dogs and cats. Animals are my passion, and I promise I will treat your pets like my own. I am available Monday through Sunday full time. I can be available morning starting at 10am to evenings ending at 8pm. I am also available to pet sit in your home any day of the week. I do not have the means to provide boarding in my home. But I would love to take care of your pets in your home, where I’m sure they’ll feel safe and comfortable. I require a meet and greet prior to house sitting as well as a smoke free, tidy, and hygienic house.
“She went above and beyond to make sure our pup was safe and taken care of while we were away. I didn’t have to worry once and made our trip so much more enjoyable, knowing that we didn’t have to worry about our animals! Next time we need to go on a trip and leave the animals and house in good hands, we will definitely be booking with Alexys again!!”

“I am so happy that I found Tiffany! She was so kind, great communication, reliable, trustworthy, and she did great with my kitties. I highly recommend her and will definitely hire her again. ❤️”

About: For the past two decades, I've dedicated my time to caring for my own dogs and assisting in the well-being of family and friends' pets during their absences. Engaging with these animals outdoors brings me immense joy, as I cherish the unique connection formed with each individual. Witnessing the special bond that animals forge with us, just as we are, has been a consistently rewarding experience throughout my years of animal care. Incorporating pet sitting into my routine seamlessly aligns with my full-time job, as I dedicate my lunch break to check on pets. This ensures they receive a midday break, creating an environment where they can enjoy their evenings engaging in activities or simply relaxing, fostering a stronger bond. I specialize in caring for pets within the comfort of their own homes. This familiar environment allows them to feel at ease in their daily routines. I meticulously follow provided care instructions, ensuring the owners feel reassured about their pets' well-being while they are away.

About: I’ve watched all kinds of dogs from puppies to the oldest of fellas. Some have had strict diets and medications that needed to be taken at specific times. I always make sure to give dogs plenty of exercise especially if they are crate trained, just get them tuckered out before needing to be put away for the night. House rules are always respected as well, your house is just as important as your dog! I am a full time student at SOU as well as an athlete so I will need to work around my class and practice schedule however, I scheduled classes to give me a little morning time and have evenings free! Periodic check-ins Monday-Thursday work best, staying full time at ones house works best Friday-Monday morning. While I can’t take in pets as I live in the dorms at SOU, I can carve out time to come meet the client and pets before the trip if that would give a sense of comfort, learn about the home and such. I am comfortable giving oral medicines to stubborn dogs, I have one myself! I have worked in houses that have cameras and/or pet cameras in and out of the house so I am comfortable with that too!

About: I’ve had dogs my whole adult life, starting with a German Shorthaired Pointer, Weimaraner, and I currently care for three high-energy dogs at home - two Vizslas and one Weimaraner. This lifetime of hands-on experience has taught me so much about fur babies and how to meet the needs of both young and senior dogs, create a safe environment, and loving routines with plenty of exercise and attention. I’m reliable and consistent—your dog will get the same attentive care every time, whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or quiet companionship. You can trust I’ll treat your pup like family. Caring for my three fur babies — Hank (Weimaraner), Chase (Vizsla), and Daphne (Vizsla) — is one of the most loving and rewarding parts of my everyday life. They’re fully integrated into my daily routine, where I make sure they get plenty of affection, playtime, treats, and mental stimulation. Whether it’s tossing toys in the yard, going on adventures together, or simply snuggling on the couch after a busy day, I pour a lot of love into keeping them happy, healthy, and well-cared for. I treat every dog like one of my own—keep them safe, backyard play, outdoor time, and lots of cuddles and attention. I’ll follow your instructions so your pup feels right at home.
About: Hi there! I have experience with all size and breeds/mixes of dogs as well as special needs and medical dogs. I also have experience caring and handling rabbits, cats, birds, and reptiles. I love them all. Through years of having animals, and through fostering and volunteering experiences, I have learned important handling skills for all types of animals. I offer dog-walking services and/or pet-sitting because I love interacting with them and ensuring that they meet their needs while their families are away. I am very mindful of surroundings and adhering to special instructions, schedules, and any special handling. I am available early in the mornings, around lunch, or in the evenings. I am happy to support and tailor around your needs and your pet’s needs. Ensuring your animal feels safe and comfortable in their environment is super important to me. I am happy to accommodate your pet(s) and follow their schedule.

I am currently an Eastern Student and have class from 9-12 and work part time at safeway from about 1-7 as of right now. I am planning on doing online class starting in January and planning on working like 8am-2pm at Safeway starting in December. So I will be more flexible in the coming months. Can do early morning and late nights if needed I will keep things clean and tidy while in others home. Will take dog on leash if not fenced in. About: Took care of a natural history museum’s (Sternberg natural history museum) animals for a year. Did the same at a zoo (Rolling Hills Zoo) for 6 years. Studying wildlife biology / pre vet science with the end goal of being a wildlife veterinarian. I’ve personally owned pets all my life including many dogs, cats, fish, insects and lizards. Additionally I've been on Rover for years as a teen but my mother owned the account (if you’d like proof of that I can give my mothers account to see my prior experience) but I did all the sitting. Now that I’m an adult in college I plan on continuing it myself. During this summer I am just taking one summer online course and doing some volunteer odd jobs so I am extremely flexible and available. Whenever you prefer at whatever frequency you want I most likely can make it work. While I don’t offer pets in my home I am very familiar with managing pets in others homes. Just tell me what you and the pet is comfortable with and I will follow it. Additionally any messes that may happen I will make sure to clean throughly. My #1 priority is your pet’s health, mental and physical. However the very next priority is your home. When house sitting I’m more than aware of the need to be respectful of the space. I will do my best to leave it just as I found it, or even cleaner.

Jackie has cared for my two dogs several times. She does everything I ask and more. For instance, this last time Paisley didn’t want to eat. Jackie sat on the floor and hand fed her the kibble. I have cameras throughout my home to verify her care. I will always choose Jackie!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
