“They were so sweet! Sent pictures each day and when I ran late getting back They offered to keep her an extra night. They also woke up at 130 am so that I could pick her up because I didnt want to spend another night without her!! Amazing sitters.”

“This was our first time booking with rover and we were for sure nervous - but Edwin was FANTASTIC! I’m such a nervous dog mom and our pup, Cigar, got a little sick just before we left town. So we were extra worried we wouldn’t be able to find a place for her to stay for 10 days on such short notice. But after leaving Cig with Edwin and receiving updates about her settling in right away, we instantly felt like she was in good hands. He was thorough with her meds, asked questions when needed, and sent the perfect amount of updates. We know Cigar was being well loved and soaking up the attention and yard space! We were even a bit worried she would like his home more and not want to come back with us after her stay lol! Absolutely will be keeping Edwin in mind for our next trip.”

“Linda kept my dog for three days and she did an excellent job with him. She even sent me a little video of Ollie speaking to me. It was adorable! I will definitely use Linda C. again!!”
“Just moved here and needed someone trustworthy to watch Gobi for five days. He’s shown a bit of separation anxiety in the past, especially with new sitters, so I was definitely nervous. Denise and her family were amazing — they welcomed him like part of their own family, sent regular updates, and made sure he was comfortable the entire time. Gobi had a blast playing with Raya, their sweet young golden retriever. Couldn’t have asked for better care.”

“Rox seamed to really enjoy Michelle and her family. The walking video;s were very cute showing how well he behaved with Michelle's daughter at the helm ;) Already scheduled another stay in early October!!!!!”

About: I have dogs since I was 4 years old. Trained them to listen to commands in sign language. My longest lived dog was 17 years old. I’m at stay at home mom with 5 kids. I have the whole time in the world for the extra babies, fur babies and hairless! I have fenced yard. I know how to groom them as well. Clip their nails. If the dogs don’t get along I will let a dog outside for a hr then switch them with large bowl of water, of course! And keep them in different room.
“This was our second time having JR keep our pup, and below are some of the reasons we will use him again and again. He’s incredibly attentive to every need and even took our pup several hours early when an unexpected crisis came up the day of our departure. His house & yard are spacious and very accommodating for a larger dog. He sends updates, videos and photos throughout the stay which give great peace of mind. Overall, each experience has been so good, but the best thing was knowing our pup was being treated like family in JR’s home.”

“Lauren was great! I received photos and updates on how my pup was doing, and I was happy to know that he had another pup to keep him company over the weekend. Thanks very much!”

“Mirella was an awesome sitter for my dog Oliver. I appreciated all the updates and photos through out the day! Oliver really enjoyed his stay and Mirella did an excellent job at calming his nerves my making him feel right at home🫶🏼😊 Thank you for taking such good care of my Oliver; I will definitely be rebooking!”

“Caitlin was an amazing sitter for our two pups! They were well taken care of and had a blast. Caitlin was very communicative and sent several pictures over our dog’s stay at her home. We will definitely use Caitlin again and are so grateful to of found her here on Rover. Thank you, Caitlin!”

About: Hi I’m Hayley! I’ve been a compassionate animal lover my entire life. I grew up with cats, dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs. My husband and I rescued our Evey at 3 months old and she’s now 9 years old! We take excellent care of her and she’s treated like part of the family. I know how stressful it can be to leave your fur baby with someone else while traveling, so that is why high quality attention and care is my priority. I like to keep you updated, sending plenty of photos and always communicating. I’m available for house-sits, drop in visits for cats as well as in home boarding for dogs. My husband works from home and I have a flexible schedule. Whether you have a younger high energy dog who needs lots of playtime and walks and exercise, or you have a senior dog who likes to cuddle and lounge around on the couch I’m here for you! I’m currently working part time so I do have plenty of time to play, take care of, and give attention to your doggies! A typical day if you’re boarding your dog at our house would be outdoor time first thing in the morning, breakfast, nap time, a walk late morning or evening depending on the Texas heat, relaxing inside, dinner, more outdoor time, play time, cuddles and bed. If you’ll be boarding at our home, we have a house that is set up perfectly for dogs and a large fenced in backyard for them to run and play safely. Someone is always out there with them whether it’s me or my husband Nathan. They get plenty of attention in our home since we are home all day.

“Angela watched Lili for a week while I was out of town. I had peace of mind knowing she was well taken care of with daily updates and pics. When I picked her up, I could tell that she had a blast. Thank you Angela! Will def use you again in the future. :)”

“Jasmine was wonderful! She took great care of Bella while I was away for the weekend, and I really appreciated her help. She made the whole process easy and stress-free, including pickup and drop-off. It gave me peace of mind knowing Bella was being cared for while I was away. I would definitely recommend Jasmine to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. I would absolutely book with her again! 🐾❤️”

“Jourdan is so great with our pup Rose! Rose has tons of playtime, walks, pets, etc. We get some great photos too (ones that we save). She follows our requests for the sensitive tummy our pup has. Highly recommended :)”

“Easily the best around. Querida was attentive and caring. She even partly aided in training Kai by getting her used to other dogs. She went above and beyond. My dog was a little sick, likely due to some treats I thought were good, along with being in a new environment. Querida, helped my dog adapt and even helped her take some food that was less disruptive for her stomach. Querida is OUTSTANDING and has a true heart for animals! An excellent groomer as well.”

95% of sitters in McNeil can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your McNeil.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
